USA vs New Zealand 8 - 1 All Goals & Highlights | Last 2 Games

The United States going with that 4-3-3 again as she did against the last and that's in the 4-4-2-3 that will be familiar. Three NWSL players today on the field for New Zealand. Game on in Commerce City, the U.S. and White. New Zealand. Rapido delivers. It's swept by Alex Morgan and over the top and just landing on top of the net from Ertz who tries to spectacular. She is known to score on set pieces, that Julie Ertz, and this one typically with her head. Why not? Almost gets that on frame. Spectacular goal. The United States go up 1-0. Julie Ertz has scored again. She may be liking this. Made a great point. This is a wonderful turn. Can Pugh get it over? She'll get it to the far post. Rapido off the puck. Ertz again. It's 2-0. Smashes in the rebound. That's entertainment. Again, Rapido making her mark. And this is one she wants again. You can see her reaction after that. Didn't go in, but Ertz played right along. Pugh. Here's Sam Mewis now. It's a beautiful ball. Horan tries to diving header. Can't get on the end of it. But Mewis and Horan trying to link up there as Horan summoning her instincts as a former striker. And a good sign that your center midfielders are getting in again. Trying to beat those lines. Just a little too much on that. Gets it to O'Hara. Rapido. Good try to throw herself on it. Guess who? Lindsey Horan. Still trying to get that goal in front of her fans here. And a good ball by Kelly. Sorry, Rapido. Across here. Just plays it in. Those are so dangerous when they come driven with pace. Bending at your goal. To her right. It'll be Rosie White. She bends it. And it's easily handled. Never a tester. This is a good piece of distribution. It's a good idea. Just won tonight. But I like Horan and that attacking center midfielder. This is a good ball from Allie Reilly in the box. It's 2-1. It's game on here for New Zealand. They've hung around. The U.S. hasn't produced that third goal despite all the opportunities. And Hannah Wilkinson and company have made this a game here. And here's the exact situation we were talking about with that early save to keep New Zealand in this game. And what a ball by Allie Reilly. That just drops in. It is an apple waiting there. Neher comes a little bit late for that. And Wilkinson did so well to put that one on frame. She wasn't going to miss. But that's a ball Neher could come a little bit earlier for, I think, cleanup. 6 changes. Beautiful control from Morgan. 3-1. Hits a side netting. Spectacular goal. Beautiful switch of play. Pinpoint accuracy on the finish. And that ball, by the way, won Sofia Puerta, who we were just talking about, in her first cap ever for the United States. First cap at outside back. She plays that ball across to Morgan. And Alex Morgan wanting one all night. Drops it dead. Just finds a little bit of a window on Percival. Makes her lean. Frees. This is a dynamic lead. You'll see Rosie. Dangerous there. U.S. scrambling to win it. Dahlkemper knocked it out. O'Hara. Close call. Lots of times with those set pieces, it's not about that first ball. No, it's often the recycled one and nail it. The brightest jump start is for the U.S. on the men's and women's side. Look at this. Hill. That was close again. Confidence here. And that's it. Those are the moments. Sweet for short. She'll drive it in. A deflection by Press. That's well done for the U.S.A. Except for that final touch, that final finish. Just waves of attack right now from the U.S. And largely coming from this left side with Kinsey Short. But how about this little bit of skill by Rapinoe. Something they missed with her absentee. During that time. Wilkinson looking to turn and fire. High is a decent look for Wilkinson. Played at the University of Tennessee. Here's a look at it. Just a lofted ball. Driven by Amiris. Horan. And she got it. Right over Naylor. 1-0 U.S. Touchdown by Naylor. And JP even think for those outside backs. Bursts her face with a begging run. Nice ball. Horan's pass sends Bure. The shot. U.S. leads 2-0. Well it's been left side, left side, left side. And then how about that hit you down the right. Nice little combination play. Your front runner checking. Laying it the way she's facing. Horan with a perfectly weighted ball. Just making that run all day long. Stays. On this left side. Touchdown. Horan. Williams. Not sure how she missed from that spot. But it was wide. I think she was past the near post JP. But how about Alex Morgan. Going inside. Shot taken. Up near and in. Alex Morgan. Just like that. 3-0. Here's the forwards for the U.S. Finding their. Coming down to Bowen. She'll strike it. Wide. Melissa there. The ninth minute. U.S. Keeps the ball. He was back up. Played across. They had a run. To reap the reward. Because she's the one who launches his attack. Think about the games that the U.S. Had last year. Another sweet move on that left side. Head up. Ball played across. Nail her this time. The pressure of the U.S. And then Mallory. Plays it on one side. Rounds around the other. Gets momentum. The defender. Trying to get. Running like the game just started. Playing it inside. Morgan's shot. What a strike by Morgan. 5-0. No mistake there. You see Pugh. She gets it behind. How active Pugh has been in this second half. It's been something special. The first touch. Morgan doesn't even look up. It's more clear. That's the final whistle. Game over. USA with a 5-0 win.
