Welcome to another video here folks. Today we have the 2023 Nissan Kicks SV. We're going to go
through the ins and outs, take it for a drive to help you determine if this is the right car for
you. With an MSRP of $23,998, consumers are finding the space in the Nissan Kicks and the fuel economy
very affordable to meet that close to $20,000 price point. This one being the SV, it comes in
the electric blue exterior and then it has the black roof. Our SV is the middle package so there's
the S underneath this and there's the SR and you can also get an SV special edition package as well.
But I love the blue with the black roof with the black mirror caps. Being the SV, when you go up
to this package from the S, you get these 17-inch aluminum alloy rims, has front and rear disc
brakes behind it and it's sitting on all-season tires. Now let's talk about the drive of the Nissan
Kicks. The value here is the fuel economy. 7.2 liters per every 100 kilometers and that's about
32.6 mpg. That's combined between your city and highway and that's the value that you're
getting with the Kicks. You get the space, you get the fuel economy and it's just a nice little
puddle jumper. Good for zipping out of parking spaces and things like that. When you move along
to the front here, you can see the front is kind of unchanged from last year's model but they really
widened out this front fascia here and this Nissan V-Motion grille here. You have the large brand new
Nissan emblem and it's flattened out because we have sensors in here like our forward emergency
sensors with our pedestrian detection. You have automatic headlights as well and automatic high
beam assist. It's a 1.6 four-cylinder engine. It gives you 122 horsepower and 140 pounds-feet of
torque and it does come with the Nissan Xtronic CVT transmission. So again, you're not buying it
to race. It's a gradual acceleration and it does have enough power but the only really complaint
would be that it doesn't like take off very fast but you're more buying it for the fuel economy
and that seems to be the priority nowadays with gas prices rising. Looking at the back hatch,
I love how the taillights kind of flow all throughout the trunk and we have things like
backup camera which we're going to turn on when we jump inside. We have rear parking sensors as
well. This car will come with backing up safety features like your moving object detection so
it'll notify you if something is backing up and it has your rear emergency braking so if you're
about to hit another car or a wall or a tree or a snowbank, it's going to automatically detect that
and it will stop for you. Overall with this SV, you also get the digital display right behind the
wheel. The S just comes with a manual display and it shows things like your radio, your trip computer,
your fuel economy so you can really manage how you drive the vehicle. There's a sport mode even
if you want better acceleration. There's also the hill descent control and then there's the auto
hold electric parking brake which does help especially like if you're stuck waiting for a
drawbridge or something like that. Now we do get the new Nissan Intelligent Key and when you go up
to this SV, you get the remote starter perfect for the winter time as that's approaching.
You just click and hold the remote start button and it's going to automatically start up. I do
have the keyless entry so there's a button on the door here that I can just push to lock and unlock
the doors and I'm ready to jump inside and start driving. Overall the ride of the Kicks is great.
You have a ton of different features and technology that you don't normally see in these
kind of lower price point vehicles so I love it. I love the blind spot warning, the lane departure
warning, you have the high beam automatic headlights. There's a ton of technology which
really attracts modern buyers especially if you're like the weekend warrior type and you want to put
a lot of things in the back. This SV comes with those roof rails that I mentioned if you want to
add anything to your roof like kayaks or things like that. It's not a huge lift up to the roof.
With this SV package you also get this sport cloth seat here so it kind of has this honeycomb insert.
It's a manual adjustable driver's seat, six-way manual adjustable driver's seat.
The front seats are heated as well and you also get the push button start. So let's start it up
Leather wrapped steering wheel as well and the wheel is heated so great in the winter time.
Keep your hands warm. Let's check out the infotainment. 8-inch touchscreen here guys.
It comes with things like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto so you can connect your phone.
You have Sirius satellite radio, Bluetooth connection, AM FM obviously and then if you
want the navigation you would use your Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for that. Let's check out
the camera. Decent large camera for when you're parking here and there you can move those guidance
lines on and off as well. Here's that parking sensor. As I approach these rocks you hear it
backing up there and then it's going to tell me if I got really closer it would automatically apply
the brake for me but it's pretty hard to back up to something while you're driving the kicks.
People talk very highly of the space in the back seat. Now I put this driver's seat all the way
back to give you a little perspective here. I'm 5'9". I still have quite a bit of knee room like
my shins are just touching the seat. There's two USBs back here as well. Cup holders in each door
and you have that sport cloth throughout. So overall the rear of this vehicle is the value
here. The space back here and let's check out the space in the trunk. Look at the massive trunk that
comes with the Kicks. There's a ton of space back here. We got our gear in here. It comes with the
carpeted mats and if you really need to you can fold the back seats down. It's a 60-40 split for
the seat so there's a ton of cargo volume back here and a ton of space. Overall guys what do you
think? Comment what you guys think about the Kicks and if we helped you with your buying experience
