It may have been a while since you've heard about what funny man Chris Tucker has been
up to, but rest assured, he's living comfortably in his Atlanta, Georgia mansion.
Once upon a time, he was the highest paid actor in Hollywood, making a whopping 25 million
dollar paycheck from Rush Hour 3 alone, but these days he keeps more to himself.
In this video we'll check out some of the comedian's properties over the years, including
two of his former Los Angeles mansions, his current spot in Georgia, and much more.
We even found the listings.
In these videos we don't reveal any addresses, and even though I've done a house tour of
my own place, please do not show up at any private residences because it's not safe
for anyone.
Back in the early 2000s, was any comedian bigger than Chris Tucker?
Christopher Tucker is an actor and comedian best known for playing Detective James Carter
in the Rush Hour movie franchise alongside Jackie Chan.
He got his start doing stand up on HBO's Deaf Comedy Jam back in the 90s.
But I wonder if Chris had any idea he would soon be one of the highest paid actors in
Hollywood.
After an amazing performance playing Smokey in the film Friday, Chris landed his part
throwing punches and jokes in Rush Hour.
The action movie proved everyone loved him and Chan's cop routine, and it raked in
244 million dollars worldwide on a 33 million dollar budget.
Rush Hour 2 brought Chris even more fame and the film was a smash hit.
Who could forget his Michael Jackson impression?
Chris was now a huge star, and his paycheck for Rush Hour 3 was a massive 25 million dollars,
making him the highest paid actor in Hollywood at the time.
However, after this film was a flop compared to the others, and Chris wasn't accepting
other movie roles, it seemed he was getting tired of Hollywood.
These days, Chris is much more elusive aside from his Netflix special in 2015, and a small
movie role here and there, living in Atlanta, Georgia.
Regardless of turning down nearly 100 million dollars in projects, he still amassed a net
worth of over 5 million dollars.

Today we'll be checking out where comedian Chris Tucker calls home, and for those of
you wondering where he's been hiding, maybe this video will give you some answers.
We'll check out some of his former homes from LA to Florida, and what we know about
his current mansion in Atlanta.
As always, don't forget to follow me on Instagram to chat, and now, let's get into
this video.
Some years back, Chris owned a few homes in the Tarzana neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.
He had a ton of success with the movies he was in, and he acquired himself quite a few
luxury homes over the years.
According to TMZ though, he had some income tax issues that accumulated, and these miscalculations
forced Chris to sell some of his houses.
Let's take a look at one of his Tarzana spots.
Chris actually bought this home way back in 1996 for just over 1.1 million dollars according
to records, and it sat on a .72 acre lot.
It would have been a brand new home built in 1995, and the purchase came fresh off his
successive rush hour.
The home was located in the Mulholland Park Estates of Tarzana, which is the same gated
community Khloe Kardashian and ex Lamar Odom used to live.
The mansion boasted gorgeous fountains, and a sparkling pool and spa out back, as well
as grand wrought iron gates for security.
Tucker's former abode had views of the luxury golf course as well as the city lights, and
inside it spanned 6,399 square feet with 5 beds and 7 baths.
While we don't know what the interior decoration is looking like these days, we do know the
details about the house, and what it offers.
The spacious interiors boast an open floor plan, high ceilings, and public spaces like
a gourmet kitchen with 3 ovens, a walk-in pantry, and a breakfast nook.
There were 3 fireplaces throughout, a butler's pantry, web bar, study room or office, as
well as a loft space on the upper level with private bathroom, perfect for guests to stay.
The master bedroom here came complete with it's very own sitting room, hosting one
of the fireplaces, a large balcony, walk-in closets, and of course, an attached bath.
Unfortunately, the value of the home would have been higher, but was sold quickly.
The final sale of Chris' former Tarzana home was 2.1 million dollars in 2013.
But that wasn't his only home in Tarzana, he had a couple of other real estate holdings
in the area, but one spot he may have used as a main residence was this place sold in
2009.
If he didn't use it for himself, it could have been for family or rented out for extra
income.
This mansion was similar to the other one, and was actually located in the same community,
and Chris acquired it in 2001 for 2.1 million dollars, which also lines up with his success
from Rush Hour 2.
The home is just a bit larger than the other one, measuring 6,549 square feet with 7 beds
and 8 baths throughout, and more recently, listing materials describe it as a celebrity
owned outstanding view estate.
The dramatic Mulholland Park Estate's mansion was built in 1995, and sat on a .76 acre lot
with grounds perfect for entertaining, boasting a pool with spa and water features.
It wasn't built in a specific style according to the listing, but it was slightly Georgian,
and the lobby had titanic cruise ship vibes with its sweeping double circular staircase.
The fancy staircase led upstairs to the warm master suite decked out in beige, and some
interesting lighting choices which also continued into the ensuite bath, where there was also
a massive spa tub.
Back downstairs there was a double height living room with champagne coloured furniture,
a dining room with twin chandeliers overhead, and a top of the line kitchen designed with
no expenses spared.
Other features of Chris' second Tarzana home included a family room with fireplace
and French doors to the yard, a library, a home theatre, and a games room on the second
floor with bamboo furnishings.
Aside from Tarzana, California, Mr. Tucker also used to have some real estate in the
Sunshine State.
One of his homes that we know of for sure was located in Montverde, Florida, and it
gained media attention when it was listed as short sale and sold in 2012 at an apparent
massive $4.3 million dollar loss.
And as it seems, Chris purchased the home in 2007 for $6 million dollars, and it later
sold for a painful $1.7 million if you could believe it.
Montverde is a town in Florida located just outside of Orlando, and Chris' former home
was a model show home built in 2006 on a lot spanning nearly an acre.
If you guessed correctly, Chris did indeed treat himself to the home after filming Rush
Hour 3, and with his mega paycheck, I'm not surprised.
The faux Tuscan mansion was situated in an upscale and guard-gated Gulf and Equestrian
community called Bella Colina, and the home itself spanned 8,861 square feet over two
levels.
There were 5 bedrooms, 5 full baths, 3 half baths, and it had features like a 2 story
stone fireplace, and with a listing called a Whimsical Pirate Ship Theme Home Theatre.
The double height foyer had a sweeping staircase, and nearby there were formal living and dining
rooms.
Photos of Chris' former residence show a family room with patterned stoned floor that
connects across a breakfast counter to the kitchen, which was equipped with top of the
line appliances, and a fancy chandelier overhead.
The mansion also boasted 2 game rooms, a temperature controlled wine cellar, and a library with
a secret room.
Not to mention there was a complete master wing for Chris to enjoy that had a sitting
area, morning kitchen for those too lazy to walk downstairs, and an en suite with jetted
tub and multicolored stained glass window that separates it from the shower.
Moving to the yard, the outdoor living spaces include a covered patio with a deluxe barbecue
center, long barbeque seating, and a stacked stone fireplace with flat screen TV.
And of course, no Florida retreat is complete without a place to swim, and Chris' former
mansion offered a freeform dark bottomed pool and spa with a waterfall.
The estate backs up to one of the community's two private lakes as well.
The resort style community offers even more amenities to their residents, including two
Tuscan themed clubhouses, a full service spa, a fitness center, a sports and equestrian
center, and a championship golf course.
Now all of those houses were gorgeous, but none are Chris' current residence.
These days the comedian resides in Georgia where he was also born, and the photos of
his mansion at least, the interiors are slim to none.
The lot was purchased for a mere $139,000 by Mr. Tucker back in 2000, and the home appears
to have been built by him about a year later.
The lot looks to be about 3 acres, and we do know the home now measures over 13,000
square feet with 6 beds and 8.5 baths.
It's located in McDonough, a part of Atlanta and only about half an hour from the city.
It's rumored that Chris owns some other Georgia real estate too, like one located
in Stone Mountain that spans 10,000 square feet or so but the use is unknown.
So it could just be for a family member, or he might use it as an investment property.
So now we've taken a look at the homes of Chris Tucker both past and present, so I think
I'll bring this house tour to an end.
After checking out his properties in Tarzana, Florida, and what we know about his Georgia
mansion, what did you guys think?
Which was your favorite?
I liked the Florida mansion with the pirate themed movie theater even if it was a little
bit cheesy.
