Back in Thailand, this time on the island (yes, it really is an island) of Phuket. We stayed right on the most famous beach in Phuket, Patong Beach and really had a blast. The beach is better than it was 20 years ago! We hit gorgeous Patong Beach every day for some beach combing and swimming then wander the streets, even crazy Bangla Street, feasting from food carts. Our favorite is a little Pad Thai cart that is conveniently located right by our hotel. With the Phuket Carnaval being this week there are tons of extra food stands and we do our best to find the very best on offer before enjoying the Carnaval parade which is quite impressive. We review the Patong Night Market and find some great little restaurants as well.

We are in Phuket. We are currently on Patong beach.
Looking forward to about three weeks of beach and jungle and hot.
Yes, the first two. Hot. Finally, nice warm water.
And the weather's beautiful. Can't beat this.
Phuket's Patong beach. This dog is a legend.
He runs up and down the beach rolling on every towel that doesn't have somebody on it.
No towel or mat is safe. Thailand's finest.
Just for you, Morgan. And one for my mom.
Gorgeous beach. Much better than expected.
We are looking for food. Hopefully, it has to be really good.
Well, the rain hampered activities a little bit, but it is Halloween.
We are here. Surprisingly, we didn't know about it.
The Patong carnival. Yeah.
Patong beach is way nicer than I remember. They're doing efforts to keep it clean.
The water's nice and swimmable. I'm pleasantly surprised with Patong.
Garlic bread. Yum. And it's really hot. And really good.
This is stretching the entire waterfront of Phuket, and that is a long way.
The entire waterfront of Patong.
This is one of the longest parades. It's beautiful, but oh my god,
they let them dance in front of the judges for a half hour each.
Oh my goodness, we've been sitting here for a half hour and it hasn't even moved.
The best breads in Indonesia. The best breads in Thailand.
These are dumplings. It tastes like pork in them. The sauce is really spicy.
These are a must try. These are really good.
We're in Patong night market. The night market. And not much here.
It's fine. Most of it's out there on the street, so it's a lot easier and better stuff.
We passed here last night, and we got the chicken jokbal.
Really good. We came back for the chicken, and they have gizzards, which is my favorite.
Okay, let's go.
We came over here on a whim, and this place is really cool.
I think it's one of our favorites.
They taste like egg quid. I don't know how to explain it,
but they're really good, and they're all different.
This is number six, one of our favorite places in Patong, and the food is fantastic. The
vegetables are fresh, and we've been here I think five times now, and we keep forgetting
because we eat and stuff ourselves. The plates are empty.
Always a long line, and it's always packed, but the line moves quick, and the food is awesomely fresh.
