Well I'm back from the Batu Caves
And I changed hotels because the
one I stayed at yesterday was only
going to be for one night because I just wanted to try the pool and that
And I came to another hotel this one
is free because I
had to take advantage
of it it's from Melia it's part of the
Melia chain and look at this nice room
Here are the robes
here is the food
area mini bar and
here is the room
This bed is super
wide I mean it's not
that it's very long
but it's super wide
with a sofa here
the television a
desk and the views that face
the Petronas
Towers are farther
away than yesterday's hotel
But anyway at least from this room I can see them
so great
and the bathroom look it's visible from here
from here there's a glass wall
It stands out separately from the bathroom
this can then be lowered
a person can be lowered down like that
if you come with someone you don't have much trust
Well nothing happens here is
the shower that's super cool
like this modern because it has
this part that's like rain here
Then there's the bathtub
and then what I'm telling you there is the glass that can be lowered
the lamp
so nothing really it's great
And I'm not going to leave my things
anymore I'll take another Uber that
takes me back to the beginning where
I'm going to start the tourist route
Okay now my exploration really
begins Here in the center of Kuala
Lumpur I've come all the way
to the western part of the city
To visit one of the
most characteristic
areas which are the Chinatown
and Little India neighborhoods and
in fact they are next to each other
This road here separates them I'm going
to start with Chinatown because this is
where Petaling Street is and what is
Petaling Street it's
basically the street
of the bargaining
is quite large here it is already divided
here you already have four
different paths to choose from
There's an incredible atmosphere
there's a lot of people a lot of stalls
and everything you can
buy you'll find it here
It's amazing you
can find for example
in clothing there are the most well-
known brands obviously fake but they
look really good and
the price is great
A T-shirt can cost about two dollars
at the exchange and that's if you don't haggle
the most typical souvenirs here tend to be
The Petronas Towers the figurines or
also the goddess we saw this morning in
front of the Batu Caves I have
already refused to
buy more souvenirs
First because I can't fit any more on the shelves I already have
everything full and besides all
they do in the end is collect dust
So I prefer to keep the memories
here and in the videos in
the photos and stick with that
because otherwise I can't cope
Here we are in
front of the Sri
Mahamamyam temple which is a
Hindu temple from 1873 and is
the oldest in all of Malaysia
And it is also said to be one of the richest
Good and here I am crossing this part
of Chinatown and Petaling Street let
me tell you a bit about the history of Kuala Lumpur which is quite young
In fact it dates back to
1857 when they started to dig
deeper when about 80 Chinese
miners arrived
here looking for
They found tin mines they really
liked the place the problem is
that they all died because of
malaria and other
tropical diseases
The thing is that the rumor spread
about the existence of those mines here
then after that many more expeditions
came and that's when it slowly started
It was gradually
built up into what
Kuala Lumpur is today right here
When you come here to Petaling Street and go to bargain always
try to get a good deal
Whatever you're going to buy for 50%
less than what they originally ask
you for and here crossing through
the Central Market we already reac
What makes up Little India
if you have any doubts at any time
about what to order at a restaurant
or what each business is about
then here they clarify it for you
These restaurants food next
to the bank money no that's
already a joke here next to
this river we have a mosque
It's really cute it'
s the mosque look how
beautiful it is it'
s partially outdoors
As you can see the mosque is located at
the confluence of two rivers that divide it
I am here in Tatar
Merdeka Square
which is a huge very large square
as you can see it has grass and
it is very important because here
In 1957 Malaysia declared independence
from the United Kingdom Now as you can
see instead of being able to see the
whole square they are setting up some like
Large steps as if it were a stage
there I don't really know what they are
preparing but I think it has something to do
with this with this guy named Merafak
And this square is surrounded by important
buildings such as this one we have
here in front of us which is the building
This building from the late 19th century
It was built for different reasons but
today it is mainly used to house the ministries of culture communication and
information and it is
not open to the public
Here the traffic
lights for pedestrians
are terrible meaning three days
to be able to cross this
and you're crossing and it's already flashing
No help is of any use to pedestrians
Well I'm already going to the hotel to rest
For a while because it was extremely hot
My back has been hurting a lot so
I'm going to rest a bit here at the hotel
I think in the afternoon I'm going for a walk around
the Meliá area where the hotel is which
is the area where I was yesterday
where the massages and such are but there 's
plenty of that the shopping centers
there's a lot of activity lots to see
so I don't know if I'll take it with me
I guess I'll take this camera
but I'm not taking the backpack at
all because I need to rest a bit I'll go a little bit to
Relax take a walk eat something
because I'm starving but look at
how wonderful it is
to arrive at the hotel and be welcomed with this
Look at this small plate of fruit they
gave me for free and these are the different types of fruits I don't quite recognize all
of them but
this one here do you see this one
frame and these balls here
the white ones with black specks
is the dragon fruit I don't
remember the
name it had a name
Another more normal name
the pitilla or something like that
I don't remember what it was called but I had always known it as that as the dragon fruit
So the truth is it's really good for
Melia because a delight here with
a welcome card and such so perfect
right in front of the Melia hotel
The one I'm staying in which is
this one here there's a sign there
right across the street there's a
mall that might be quite interesting
So let's go in and take
a look I'm going to visit
some shopping areas and interiors now because
It's been quite a rainy day
And nothing since I don't have my umbrella with me because I
lost and left everything at the hotel so at
least I'm going to try to take cover
By the way I hadn't mentioned it but
one of the most
well-known public transport systems
here in Kuala Lumpur
is the monorail which is actually here
The train goes all around
the city but since in the end
it's so cheap to use Uber it
makes me much more comfortable
Look I'm inside this mall and one of the features
it has apart from a lot of
clothes here in the middle
It's because if you look up here
There is a roller coaster
inside the shopping mall
I imagine it will be childish or something like that
I'm not seeing anyone
using it right now but okay if I
see a moving wagon I'll try to record it
Okay I'm back at the hotel It's already around
11 PM or something like that Sorry I didn 't
record much of the afternoon
But I've been disconnected
taking a walk on my own a bit more
relaxed and nothing then also that night I went back again
At the massage place yesterday I didn't record
it but the summary would be something like that
Well now I don't know I feel
similar I'll take some drugs or
whatever and try
to rest because
tomorrow is an excursion that
I hope it's good even though I think it's going to rain
But I think it's going to be
good So I'll keep you updated
Thank you so much for getting this far
I hope you are enjoying the videos and that tomorrow will be even better
