What's up guys, we're coming at you with another video.
Today we're going to go over the Bronco Sport.
This is the base model so we're going to talk about everything that comes
standard on the Bronco Base. Should you buy this? Should you buy
the Ford Escape? Let's get to it.
Huge thanks to my friends at Edler and Ford for giving us this Bronco Sport to
present to you today. This one is the base model like I said.
It's got an MSRP of $32,199 or about $26,880 US.
Let's get into some of the features and starting with the side profile. So a
little bit of what's going on here guys. If you don't like the full-size Bronco
you can shrink it down and go with this Bronco Sport.
You can see it's going to come with quite a bit of standard features.
A few little plastic pieces as well. You get your blacked out plastic handles,
mirrors, caps. You get your black roof rails as well
which is perfect if you're putting things right on the top. When we check
out the rims it's going to come down to these silver 17-inch
aluminum alloy rims. Let's move on to the front.
Checking out the front. Look at all the different lines in the
hood. Really adds to the sporty look. Again we got a plastic front end. We got
our active grille shutters here. This blacked out
Bronco logo comes right across the front. It's going to come with our LED
headlamps and then those projectors. They are auto on off
and then you're going to have about 7.3 inches of ground clearance
if you need to go on the off-road. Talking about the power plan here. This
one's going to come equipped with that 1.5 liter
three-cylinder EcoBoost engine. You're going to get the 4x4
181 horsepower attached to an 8-speed automatic transmission. You got the
electric power assisted steering. Fuel economy you're going to be about
8.9 liters per every 100 kilometers combined
or 32 combined mpg. You're going to get the Ford 360 co-pilot to give you a
bunch of safety and then you'll have that GOAT terrain
management system. So that means it goes over any type of
terrain. We're going to look into that when we take it for a test drive.
When you look at the back it reminds me almost of those Land Rovers. A little
mini Land Rover. You get the top antenna there. You also
have two ways to access the trunk here. So
if you need to get something quick you can just open up the glass
and grab your water bottle whatever you need. If you're putting those big items
in you can open the whole hatch and open the
back. In the back this is why you'd go with this Bronco Sport over the Escape.
You have a huge opening to put stuff in. This is one of the benefits of this
Bronco. You have some cargo lighting in the back as well
and then you can fold the seats down. We have that
60-40 split. I don't like the back hump if you're sliding things in and out
but that's okay. You got lots of space in here. When you're
entering the back it's a little tight back here I gotta be honest.
I do like the dual tone sport cloth that continues into the rear
but very very tight. You can see these cars are accustomed to how we're
driving. So I'm 5'9". I wouldn't want to sit back
here for a long time. There's no mat pockets. There's a little teeny cup
holder down here. A little bit of storage. One USB and a
USB-C to charge my phone. So I'm gonna give it a knock on the
back seat. Let's get in and check out the interior
here. You get the regular Ford key.
Start it up. Here we are. I'm sitting in the manual adjustable seat. This one
being the base you do get the cloth interior. It's a two-tone interior which
I really like. Then I jump into the wheel here where I
got my cruise control. I got my mounted controls. Gauge cluster
is pretty standard. This is taken right out of the Ford Escape.
Looks very very similar to what I've seen in those type of vehicles.
Then you have the dial here. I'm going to take another knock.
Take a point off the vehicle with this dial. It's not comfortable when you're
driving. There's nowhere to like put your hand
while you're driving with the dial. In terms of the infotainment you still get
the SYNC 3. They haven't gone with the SYNC 4 yet
on the screen here. But you do get a large screen.
You have the auto start stop button below. Radio controls.
Very similar to the Escape like I said. There's a little bit of phone storage
above that. Then here's our backup camera that comes on. The backup
camera isn't too clear but it's expected to have that in the
base model vehicle. Manual air conditioning. You don't get
the digital air conditioning. Everything is nice and
manual here. Then you have a USB and a USB-C to charge your phone.
When you're driving the Bronco you definitely notice that
1.5 3 liter right away. You can hear it kind of
accelerating there. It doesn't accelerate like
I would want it to. I would go with a bigger engine if I were buying
a Bronco. I would maybe spend the extra money to get a little bit more power.
This just feels sluggish. It feels kind of tinny.
Hopefully you can hear what's going on here. But that's basically pedal to
the floor and we're hardly going up. Maybe I've
just been blessed with all the fast cars that I've been driving.
Besides that everything seems okay
in terms of viewing angles, looking around.
Parking is very easy. That's one thing that's very easy with the Bronco.
My only beef would be with the acceleration and the power. It's
very loud. You know you're in an entry-level vehicle
when you're driving this car. Guys comment below what you think of
the Ford Bronco Sport. Would you buy this or would you buy the
Ford Escape? That's a big question I'm sure a lot of
Ford buyers are asking. And as always subscribe to my channel if you're new
