Lil Wayne has been spending his quarantine getting Young Money Radio started.
At the end of April, the rapper launched his show on Apple Music where he features guests
to talk about everything from sports, comedy and more.
If you're wondering where he's been holed up for the last couple months, Lil Wayne lives
in a mega mansion off the coast of Miami Beach that's fit for royalty, complete with a moat.
In this video, we'll be taking a look at the palace Lil Wayne calls home.
Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., much better known as Lil Wayne or Weezy at times, is a rapper,
singer, songwriter, record exec, entrepreneur and more who's regarded by many as one of
the most influential hip hop artists of our generation and one of the greatest rappers
of all time.
He's had a ton of success over the years that we could discuss, but I'm sure you guys know
all about it.
He's one of the world's best-selling music artists, won many awards including 5 Grammys
and of course is the CEO of Young Money Entertainment, his record label with which he's signed many
iconic artists.
In recent news, Lil Wayne addressed the unjust death of George Floyd while he was on Fat
Joe's IG live chat with a different perspective than some.
I think when we see these situations, I think we also have to understand that we have to
get very specific.
And what I mean by that is we have to stop viewing it with such a broad view, meaning
we have to stop placing the blame on the whole force and the whole everybody or a certain
race or everybody with a VAT.
I think when we see these situations, I think we also have to understand that we have to
get very specific.
And what I mean by that is we have to stop viewing it with such a broad view, meaning
we have to stop placing the blame on the whole force and the whole everybody or a certain
race or everybody with a VAT.
We have to actually get into who that person is.
And if we want to place the blame on anybody, it should be ourselves for not doing more
than we think we're doing.
What do you guys think about Weezy's point of view?
We have to stop viewing it with such a broad view, meaning we have to stop placing the
Anyways, today we'll be looking more at the rapper's life of luxury than anything else.
At the moment, Lil Wayne has an estimated net worth of $150 million or more, making
him one of the richest rappers in the world.
And with that, he's bought some pretty fancy real estate.
Hey guys, it's Kara and today we're doing another house tour here on Famous Entertainment.
We'll be looking at where Lil Wayne calls home, like his current mega mansion on an

Now let's get into this video.
Although we'll be looking at Weezy's current mansion he calls home these days, it's
not the first Miami spot he's owned.
He used to live in another home here, which he bought back in 2011 for $11.6 million according
to public records.
Lil Wayne's previous waterfront mansion was located on La Gorcha Island, which is
an island in the city of Miami Beach, and of course, in an exclusive private neighborhood.
Unfortunately, while he was living there, it was swatted, meaning pranksters called
emergency services in hopes of bringing responders here.
In this case, someone falsely said 4 people had been shot at Mr. Carter's home, sending
police to the scene.
Of course, since his address was so public, Lil Wayne wanted to sell.
Although he listed it for $18 million in 2015, he ultimately had to reduce the price to a
loss, selling it for about $10 million in the end.
His previous Miami mansion was built in a contemporary, modern design spanning over
15,000 square feet, with 9 beds and 10 baths spread across 3 floors.
It was made of steel and glass for the most part, and very open concept, with floor-to-ceiling
windows throughout.
The main floor had a more casual living room, and a double-height great room with a full
windowed wall looking out to the water.
There's also a formal dining room here, and a stainless steel kitchen, with large
island and walk-in pantry.
Other features throughout the home include an office, rec room, and a wet bar.
Lil Wayne had an impressive 2 story master suite here that could be accessed by a glass
enclosed elevator.
Of course, there was an impressive ensuite bathroom, walk-in closet, and outdoor terrace.
Throughout the mansion, there are different sky terraces or balconies, so you're able
to soak up the sun and the views all over.
Not to mention some bonus features that Weezy likely added, including a professional recording
studio, a shark pool, and even a rooftop skate park.
The lot this home sat on was over 20,000 square feet, and apparently new city rules don't
allow people to build homes this massive on lots this size any longer.
Aside from that shark pool and skate park, also on Lil Wayne's previous property, there
was a private dock, additional pool, 3 car garage, and expansive 3 bedroom guest house.
There was even 120 feet of bay frontage so you can really feel like you're on vacation.
Although the rapper sold his gorgeous home at a loss, he moved on to something better,
and he clearly wasn't done with Miami yet.
It seems that Lil Wayne likes calling Miami home because despite offloading the last place
with a shark pool and skate park, he upgraded, this time dropping just shy of 17 million
dollars.
Back in 2018, Weezy found his current residence, which just happened to be another Miami mega
mansion, located on Allison Island, right off the coast of Miami Beach.
It's in a luxury neighborhood on the water, similar to his last place, but in an even
more remote location since it's accessed by BRIT.
It sits right in the middle of the waterway that leads to the Biscayne Bay and then the
ocean.
If that's not enough privacy for Weezy, any intruders would have to get past the moat-like
entrance on his property anyways.
Although it's not a full moat, the pond at the front feels like one since you need
to cross floating marble steps above the water to get to the door.
In fact, the entire design of the home is to make it feel as if it's floating on water.
If you notice similarities in the home's design to Lil Wayne's last mansion, it's
because the same architect was in charge of both.
They both have a very open and modern design, and white and clean color palette.
The rapper's current estate spans a sprawling 10,632 square feet of living space with 7
beds and 11 baths.
There's that impressive grand entryway with mahogany wood, and once you're inside Weezy's
home, the movable walls make it hard to tell where the indoors end and the outdoors start.
Of course, all the open air spaces can be closed off with sliding glass doors, but the
Florida weather wouldn't force you to.
On the main floor, he has a great room with windows extending from the floor up to 22
foot ceilings which take advantage of the year-round sunshine.
Here an entire wall of glass opens to the backyard.
Another spacious living room opens to a wide deck with views of the water.
There's a main, sleek, designed eating kitchen with custom wood cabinets, state of the art
appliances and staff quarters, as well as a smaller galley kitchen with entry from the
backyard which is likely useful when having guests.
One rumor area of Lil Wayne's mansion I really like is the open air atrium.
There are two 20 foot living walls of vegetation that thrive in the climate of Allison Island.
It's also a nice private outdoor hangout with a courtyard feel.
As for the bedrooms, they occupy the upper level and each has its own private balcony.
Most of them are very open air with sliding glass around the whole room, feeling as if
you're outside.
Wheezy's master suite has the largest balcony of all, an L-shaped grand terrace with a seating
area, lounge chair, and a view of the ocean.
The attached bathroom also comes complete with a custom walk-in closet.
All the en-suite bathrooms have a mix of glass and marble and are equally airy, even if that
makes them slightly less private.
The rooms have the same floor-to-ceiling windows that look over other rooms within the house.
Other features inside his home include a theater with red oak floors and oversized loungers
as well as an elevator.
On the property, there's also a three car garage.
When you move out to the backyard at Lil Wayne's Miami mansion, you'll find a large
infinity pool and cabana pool house with outdoor kitchen and bathroom.
There are also plenty of outdoor dining and entertainment spaces, and direct access to
the clear blue water off the property with a 110 feet of waterfront.
Lil Wayne's home features all the amenities fit for a luxury Miami lifestyle, while still
keeping privacy and peace in mind with its serene, open air design.
So now we've seen the properties of famous rapper Lil Wayne, and clearly he loves calling
Miami Beach home.
After looking at both his previous mansion there and the current one, which was your
fave?
I know they're pretty similar and I think the old one's actually bigger, but I gotta
say the place he lives now is my fave.
Something about that open air design and the floating steps at the front and back of the
house look super elegant.
Before we wrap this up, I'll read out a couple of your comments from previous videos.
These are from our recent Selena Gomez updated house tour on her brand new Encino mansion.
Shezgirl Rose wrote
I love love love her main home.
That swimming pool and waterfall is the best I've ever seen in my life.
What a stunning home.
Thank you Cara.
This video is great to watch.
Thumbs up all the way.
I'm glad you liked the video and I agree that Selena's new place is amazing.
It's so pretty and I think she'll be happy there.
And Kyle commented saying
This is definitely my favorite celebrity house so far.
And that comment got a ton of likes so I think a lot of you guys think the same.
Out of all the celeb homes I've seen, Selena's makes my top 3.
It's gorgeous.
Alright so that's all I got on Lil Wayne's Miami Beach mansion and the spa he used to
live.
Although the first home he had had a shark pool and rooftop skate park, I think he definitely
upgraded with the new place and I'd hope so since he spent close to 17 million dollars
on it.
But I want to know what you guys think about where Lil Wayne calls home.
Which was your fave?
Or what rooms did you like the best?
Let me know in the comments as well as what other celebrity houses you'd like to see.
