Opis trasy i przystanków na trasie od Sydney do Alice Springs
Places we visited on the way to Uluru
Cobar Broken Hill Silverton Flinders Ranges National Park Coober Pedy Breakaway Reserve Rainbow Valley Trefina Gorge Alice Springs Simpson Gap Stanley Chasm Elwery Creek Serpentine Gorge Ormiston Gorge Kings Canyon
Uluru Olgaz on the way back
we came through Mildura Uoga
and returned to Sydney
But let's start from the beginning The first city is the
city of Cobar rich in mining heritage and natural attractions
There are open-pit mines worth visiting
It is known for copper and gold mining
The next town Broken Hill is the oldest mining town in the outback with a history dating back to 1880
You can see a desert landscape mining history art galleries museums and much more here
Silverton is 37 km from Broken Hill and
currently fewer than 50 people live here
It was once a vibrant home for thousands of people
And nearby is a campsite for visiting tourists
The next stop is Flinders Ranger Park National
There are 10 designated campsites in the park
The Flinders Ranger is the most beautiful area I have ever seen
Rugged mountain ranges dramatic canyons calm streams and abundant wild nature
This is just the beginning of what awaits us in one of South Australia's most popular tourist spots
Then we go to the town of Coober Pedy which
is known as the opal capital of the world
We stop by Lakehart Lake on the way
Which is a dry salt lake with a great campsite on the shore
We visit the underground museum in Coober Pedy where opals were mined
Then we enter the underground chapel and head
25 kilometers to the Breakaway Reserve park
We are driving along the fence that is several thousand kilometers long to block the Dingo's path
The park has colorful hills covered with undulating plains
Visiting the park at sunrise or sunset shows the landscape's spectacular changing colors
The next stop is at the Rainbow Valley campsite
We drove 10 kilometers on a real dirt road but we arrived
Rainbow Valley's colorful rocks are illuminated in the early morning and late afternoon
Offering spectacular views and is well known for its vibrant sandstone cliffs which have been given a European name
We are going to Trefin Nature Park which is known for its clean quartz cliffs
Camping is large and charming The two most popular activities in the park are camping and hiking
There are several hikes in the Trefi Valley that are worth doing during your stay ranging from short and easy walks to longer day hikes
We are leaving Trefin Gorge and heading to visit the next gorges
We pass by a short gorge named Emil Gep
We are driving through the city of Alice Springs and arrive at Simpson's Gap which is considered one of the more prominent ones
Because we are in a hurry we are touring this place in a rush whose shapes and surroundings are compact and certainly deserve more attention
We are going to Stanley Chasm where we will spend the night camping
Stanley Chasm is considered a significant cultural icon of Central Australia
The first access to the rock face is along a well-maintained trail
Another trail is Doeller Creek Big Hole This is one of the most
popular and picturesque camping spots for hiking and swimming
Jeziorko is perfect for swimming especially in the warmer months
However swimmers should be aware that the water can sometimes be extremely cold
The next direction is to Serpentine Gorge A walk to the
viewpoint takes about 20 minutes and is quite steep in some parts
Just over a kilometer of walking along the stream bed to the gully
Where is the water tank located between the two massive
canyon walls then a steep climb to the observation po
From above there is a magnificent view making the climb worth it
The last campsite on this route is Wombus Olmiston
whose campsite is classified as a category C campsite
I offer gas grills toilets and showers
This is a great place for walking camping and swimming
Kemping Drive In is available for all types of vehicles and camping trailers
The hiking trail in these mountains was easy and the views were great
We are going to Kings Canyon which is one of the best places for hiking in the area
Kings Canyon rises 270 meters above sea level
It is located in the heart of the Australian Red Centre
To get to the edge of the canyon you have to climb 500 stairs to reach the top
We spend one night at the campsite
The spacewalk begins with a difficult bolt and ascends to the top of the canyon
Kings Canyon Park has many canyons waterfalls and peaks
The canyon is almost entirely composed of sedimentary rocks called sandstones
The rugged peaks and canyons of Kings Canyon make it an exciting place for hiking
offering spectacular views of the landscape from red rocks
We are going to Uluru Along the
way we stop to take pictures of the red colored views
We are entering the local campsite
We finally arrive at Uluru
at is Ayers Rock a massive sandstone monol
which is famous around the world for its spectacular sunrises and sunsets
You can walk around Uluru in about 9 km and relax at the quiet waterholes
No matter what you do here don't miss the sunrise or sunset
Uluru is one of the most sacred landmarks in Australia
but near it is another natural wonder the Olgas
which is a group of large dome-shaped rock formations
so we are going to visit this place
Since this is the end of our journey let's
bravely send the entire route from start to finish
The views were great as before and we took a lot of pictures
I'm back in Sydney this time
through Mildura and Lago Bye
