Decyzje podjeliśmy i jedziemy.
July in Sydney is the middle of winter so we decided to travel 5000 kilometers to Darwin
Where it's 32 degrees today and along the way we'll take a look at Outback Australia
The first stop after 700 kilometers is a hotel in the town of Berg because it's still unfortunately a bit chilly
Then the direction is to the city of Tambo and the next 650 kilometers
We stop for coffee and visit a charming town on the way
In Sydney the empty streets seem a bit strange and unusual but they also have their own charm
The landscape is constantly changing and the further you go from Sydney the shorter the trees become and it gives the impression tha
That's the only life there is on this road and lots of incoming kangaroos
We are driving to Tambo a quiet little town with an empty hotel where we will spend the night
We're starting early for Winton because we still have another 500 kilometers to go
We stop in the small town of Longreach where Qantas Airlines built a museum
We take a few photos and then drive dozens of kilometers to the National Park where the dinosaur remains are located
Unfortunately we arrived too late so the bone museum is already closed and we're going to the hotel in Winton
We have 470 kilometers to go to Mount Isa a significant mining town for Australia
We stop at an Outback rest area where there are restrooms and some benches and I fly the drone to check out the area
We keep going and the landscape becomes increasingly hilly and colorful
We drive up to the town of Mount Isa and admire the local scenery
The mountains here contain vast deposits of copper lead zinc and silver
The only problem with their processing is the electricity here
We are also going to see the nearby lake and dam where electricity is generated
We finally land at the camping cabin and in the morning we head towards the town of Tennant Creek
Dark clouds appear in the sky transforming the landscape and making it increasingly painted in various colors which is presented
We have 100 kilometers to the Devil Marbles Reserve
In this reserve huge granite boulders have been shaped and arranged by nature in such a way that they must be seen and admired
After admiring the rocks in front of us there are still 350 kilometers to the town of Elliot where we will sleep in a campsite tent
Traveling north it becomes warmer at night
Z Elliot is 440 kilometers from the campsite in Katrine Gorge where nearby is the Need Me Look National Park
On the way to the town of Mataranka we take a detour to a resort near which are natural hot water swimming pools
A quick swim we drive through the town of Katrine do some shopping and arrive at Katrine Gorge Camp
We start with a ten-kilometer walk in the local park which is home to crocodiles
After visiting the park it's 220 kilometers to the Douglas Hot Spring in the Bush where there are hot springs in the river and you can accidentally boil yourself
We are relaxing at the campsite in the evening and in the morning we have a swim in the hot river
Some holes in the ground spew almost boiling water and some campers even cook eggs here
This water mixes with the cold so that you can choose a spot with a temperature that suits you
The final stage is 200 kilometers from the city of Darwin and a total of almost 5000 kilometers driven from Sydney
We meet here with Malgosia who flew in from Sydney for two weeks so we are exploring the city doing some shopping and preparing for the next day because we have a big adventure ahead
Riding in 4WD and exploring Litchfield and Kakadu National Parks which I present in the next episode
Goodbye
