We continue our journey around the south island of New Zealand by exploring amazing Queenstown, including a breathtaking tour of gorgeous Lake Wakatipu. We make the gorgeous drive through the mountains to Milford Sound where we get to see some wild Kea. These endangered birds are the only Alpine Parrots in the world and Kate was just ecstatic about that! Our boat tour of Milford Sound was truly one of the highlights of the entire trip. We saw dolphins, fur seals, waterfalls and visited the underwater observatory. We finished off the trip with the best breakfast in all of New Zealand, not just the south island of New Zealand, but all of New Zealand: A hash brown stack at the Sand Fly in Te Anau.

We made it to beautiful Queenstown. This has to be my favorite non-warm city that we've been to.
Very alpine feel to it. It's like a little ski town. It's beautiful. It is beautiful. We are
a little wet. I did have to buy another coat because it's freezing and I was dying slowly
but it is beautiful. Snow's everywhere so I'd say yeah perfect description. We were
going to go on a boat trip today. We'll go tomorrow when the weather's better.
Now this is more our style. This town is absolutely lovely. Getting ready to hop on
the spirit of Queenstown for a lake tour. Not sure if this is doing any justice to just how gorgeous
this little city is. Wow. We came to Double Burger because our friend from Medford's daughter works
here. Look at this awesome food. It's the man killer. The curry cheese fries and that's just
the normal little one. This is Jedediah Springfield's cousin Kip who discovered New Zealand.
Actually it's William Gilbert Reese. That is the only alpine parrot in the world called a kia.
That's so cool. That's awesome. We are driving through a tunnel under giant mountains heading
over to Milford Sound and we're going down. This would be like the worst time ever to have an
earthquake. We're at Milford Sound. Going on a sound cruise on the Lady Bowen.
Supposedly one of the wettest places on earth. We just got lucky today for once.

Get to the South Island of New Zealand. You have got to do Milford Sound and take the cruise.

These guys are going to go on a waterfall. I need to get a picture of the waterfall.
They're outside. We're inside behind the glass. Smart. We are getting off the boat on the
underwater observatory. It's going to be awesome. 60 steps and about 10 meters down
under the waters of the fjord. This is really cool. Black coral which is usually found much deeper.
Darkness is falling over Milford Sound. We've got to find the car and get back. We've got a
long drive ahead of us. Possibly in the trees at night. Glowworms. We are in Tianu getting breakfast
