Hi Our 2022 vacation started in Sydney and a 440-kilometer drive to the Wharrambungle Mountains to the Whambelong camping site
We are staying at a campsite that's almost empty and the next morning we hike up Split Rock
Our goal is to reach the summit even though it's hot and the temperature is almost 33 degrees
The views are great and untouched by human civilization
Unfortunately we give up 600 meters before reaching the mountain summit and turn back to the camp
We are encountering a mountain goat on our path
Biurek is so sweaty that he jumps into the nearby stream
Jemy dinner at the Kangaroo Society
We're going 5 kilometers to the nearby Camp Blackman camping site and on the way we walk a few kilometers to a great viewpoint
There were 1051 steps and were still going uphill
Kemping Blackman is as well-maintained as a top hotel and even has a shower with hot water which suits Małgorzta very well
The campsite is almost empty so after our swim we go exploring the many other trails here
The views are worth seeing so we are visiting a few walking trails
Unfortunately the vacation isn't long plus it looks like rain so we're packing up and heading 200 kilometers north to Mount Caputa National Park
We take a short detour to visit the Sandstone Caves amazing rock formations carved by nature
We arrived at Mount Caputa Park but unfortunately it started to rain
We weren't prepared for the campsite being 1500 meters above sea level and for the cold nights
Fortunately it stopped raining and the sun came out so we are exploring the nearby trails
We are charmed by the relaxing views
Today the rain stopped and there is some sun so we are exploring new routes and new views
A mountain goat is watching us from a distant rocky outcrop
We are now driving 150 kilometers to the town of Moree to take a swim in the natural hot water pools
We stop along the way to hike the Stone Rocks trail and see the amazing hill here
I can't believe that nature itself generated such long hexagonal columns as if they were made of concrete
We are driving to the town of Moree at the caravan park where there are pools with natural hot underground water
The temperature in one of the pools is 39 degrees
After a therapeutic bath the next morning we drive 160 kilometers north to Quimbal National Park at Lemon Tree Flat Camp
What surprised us was that this nice riverside campsite was completely empty
We take a few steps away from the campsite and are surprised again because the surrounding nature is beautiful
I rivers and rocks and waterfalls and incredibly carved giant stone boulders
We walk in circles through the empty area and it's hard to believe that tourists only prefer vacations by the ocean
On the other hand that's good because we have total privacy here which is already unthinkable in Europe
We take a short walk along the shore near the campsite and then decide on a 7-kilometer walk along the river
We were enchanted by the view and the relaxation that this environment provided making us forget all human problems
Another morning this time a relaxed breakfast and we drive 130 kilometers to the Torrington State Conservation Area at Blather Arm Campground
We stop along the way to walk a few kilometers for our health and come across the Mystery Face trail which leads us to a rock with a human face
The path was empty as usual Malgosia sends a kiss to that gentleman
We are driving uphill and arriving at Blather Arm Camping This morning we are going to the waterfall
The waterfall is beautiful so we spend more time here
We drive 110 kilometers to Bald Rocks National Park which we visited last year
After camping we go up Bald Rocks which is said to be the largest monolith in the southern hemisphere
This route is a few kilometers long and we walked it last year
The next day we decided to take a risk and climb up the rock at angle of about 45 degrees
Saving a lot of time in this way so that one stumble and falling down is a risk of life
We are all back and this morning we are driving 160 kilometers to Gibraltar Range National Park to the Mulligan's Campground
After we get up we go for a walk right away because it's about to rain
A nice place and although it doesn't compete with the previous ones there are still a few tourists at the campsite
A beautiful rainforest and a nice stream with waterfalls
We are going back 710 kilometers to
Sydney because it's raining tomorrow Bye
