Our adventures in Singapore are just getting started, If you thought the Singapore airport was fun, wait until you see the rest of the city and country of Singapore. We chose to stay in Singapore's famous Chinatown district for its culture and readily available street food. We also took a trip through Singapore's Little India to experience Indian food and desserts at their best (and not so best). We did our best to sample all the street food and hawker center food that Singapore has to offer and even found time to visit Singapore's Gardens by the Bay for an epic light show. At the end of this adventure we just can't help but feel that 3 days isn't nearly enough so we'll definitely be back to Singapore!

The Singapore MRT train is so easy to use.
We got a multi-day pass.
$20 for 3 days unlimited rides.
Stand-up Stacey over there says,
show you care.
And off of that seat are people who are disabled.
Stand-up Stacey is a stand-up girl.
They're not kidding on the train.
$500 fine for eating or drinking.
$1,000 fine for smoking.
No durian.
We're in our backpackers hostel.
We looked at the pods and said,
why not?
Oh wow.
That's nice.
This is cool.
We're in Singapore looking for street food.
It's called the Chinatown Food Street.
I think we might be home.
First, street food in Singapore.
The three meal platter.
Pork, chicken, and duck.
I think it's chicken.
Oh, crunchies.
We're offering Carol Lee's
if we have to get chili crab in Singapore.
Hey dude, sorry, we're going to eat you.
I really like Asia.
So far I,
well,
I really like Singapore.
The famous chili crab.
This is definitely not a first date dinner.
This is the Maxwell Street Hawker Center.
I think we're going to hurt ourselves.
Sugar cane juice.
Thank you.
That's sweet.
Kate has to cover up those legs.
Heading into the Chinatown complex.
Thankfully, Kate's legs are once again free.
Hopefully $3 food street.
It was mainly tourists.
And just show it.
But Kate's eating with a spoon.
Cheating.
This place goes on forever.
It's called sewage.
It's just durian.
Obstacle time.
Like this.
Ah.
Point like this.
Oh.
Thank you.
Cafe.
Three in one.
Let's see how this goes.
The worst coffee I've ever had.
Probably just because of the sugar and cream.
It'll do in a pinch.
Our little space capsule hotel.
That's just a drinking water.
Everybody in line.
I love Singapore.
There are so many beautiful churches
and temples
and mosques
all over Singapore.
And strangely enough,
it's still one of the safest cities in the world.
Today, we are in Little India.
Check out these awesome flowers.
They're so fragrant.
This is Tekka Center.
I'm sure we can find something to eat.
Chicken biryani from Aludin's Biryani.
Chicken's really good, too.
It has a lot of...
Oh, it's really spicy.
Lots of flavor.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Five Singapore dollars,
which is about a little over three U.S. dollars.
And that was for both of us.
I think Kate found heaven.
I did.
Yikes.
We're going to go into the banana leaf Apollo.
Hello.
This crazy looking thing is called chendol.
It's an Indian dessert.
It's got beans and jelly.
Good thing Kate's going to try it first.
I have to say I'm not a fan.
First bite, I was on the fence.
My third bite,
it's all...
But it's definitely interesting.
Hi, guys.
Ceremony to the god Shiva.
That was really cool and fascinating.
We got a lot of information on the temple.
We did have permission to take photos
and video of the ceremony.
Always very important.
Kelly, I'm not that mean,
but I was thinking about it.
We're at Mostafa Mart,
which is like five levels.
It is this crazy store
where you can find absolutely everything
and seven of them.
Well, it can't all be temples and food marts.
It's raining.
A lot.
We came out to the Marina Bay Sands.
We're going to try and see the gardens by the bay
and check out the light show tonight.
I'm getting up on that skywalk.
A bunch of lightning just went right over us.
About ready for the light show.
This place is spectacular.
We're still out in the rain.
But that light show for Christmas
was gorgeous.
We're trying to make the laser show
in front of the Marina Bay.
We're just hoping not to get struck by lightning.
So, you know, there's that.
The laser show is still going on out there.
And in here, there's like canals
and gondola rides.
Was it worth standing in the rain for an hour
to see that?
Yes.
All the rainwater from the top
is going into this.
And there's the underside of the toilet bowl.
This is by far the coolest mall
I have ever been to.
I love it.
We're just about ready to turn in for the night.
And then Kate's off.
Superheroes Cafe.
So, if you think a princess
and a guy like me...
Oh, wait. Wrong movie.
Out of the rain, back on the train.
Great night.
Head and get some food and go to bed.
We're up early to go to
Stingor's Botanical Gardens.
We have completed the reflexology footpath.
Or as I like to call it, the ouch, ouch, ouch trail.
Smooth ones, fantastic.
Little upright ones,
can't walk very far.
I've got to admit, my feet feel way better.
Mine do too.
Another UNESCO site.
This is a really neat
and really old kola tree.
The extracts from this thing are used to make kola drinks.
Check out those giant lily pads.
Some of the trees that are standing here
were here back in the 1800s.
And that's one of them. I love old trees.
That dude is huge.
They did a fantastic job with this.
This is the Walk of Giants.
Botanical gardens are beautiful.
Definitely, I would say,
you have to come see this.
The sky has just opened up again.
But thankfully, we have made it to the Newton Food Center.
Hey, you know where we were going to food.
Looks good to me.
Duck and rice, pork and rice,
fried chicken, a fried egg with a little fish.
And little tiny fish.
Oh, those are crunchy, yummy fish.
We're going to chow.
That is three days in Singapore.
Getting up early to catch a flight
to another country.
Singapore is wonderful. You should definitely come here.
It's a fun city.
And definitely eat a lot.
Peace.
We weren't going to film anymore in an airport,
but we're back at Changi and it's still just awesome.
There's like a play
going on, full size.
You can just sit and watch a play if you want.
And it's like 6 in the morning.
Oh yeah, and immigration is
so easy here.
Security screening is
very effective and
very painless. It's wonderful.
That's it. Bye.
