Leicester Riders vs. London Lions - Condensed Game

First BBL game he's played, he obviously played a couple of European games before he got injured and he's been now drafted back healthy. I do think he'll feature and I think it'll be much to do with how the game's going. Rob Tatnosh is great at in-game management and adapting when needed to be so if he feels it's appropriate. Taylor dancing his way, throwing it up and that doesn't drop either. He's able to get back and lobbed in. The lion's got it done. Pick and rolls. Jackson along the baseline gets Leicester's first score of the game. Decker had a casual jog out to the corner to then shoot that three. McKenzie using his speed to get all the way to the... Lots of physical play with Sam Decker, they are not stepping back from him. McKenzie at the elbow knocks it down. Back-to-back baskets for him. Lubchich down in the low block. From speed through the four and the five and doing so effectively. Taylor drives in, great pass. Oh Koufos blows the lay-up second attempt is good. Potentially Blake Bowman is coming for Leicester early on. McKenzie at the elbow knocks it down. That's a second shot. Down to Koufos with Nelson Henry on his back. Best mid-range knocks it down. Taylor at the top of the key knocks it down. Whelan kicking to Loving. Loving challenged well by Sharma but Nelson Henry cleans it up. Bowman taking it hard, needs some help and ends up throws it away. Nice pass. Best with that counter is an offensive foul. The referees looking at each other. It's on Connor Washington. Oh he said two shots, it's got to be a basket good surely. That could have went either way because Connor Washington was there in slow motion. We've seen over the last three years it's almost a guaranteed bucket up and a 60% percentage shoot in big man. Nelson tough shot. Oh Luke Nelson for three. London in the open court. Oney kicks it back and stolen away by Jackson. Numbers here. Jackson goes it alone and Jackson scores. Excellent body control. Trail 5-5. We'll have the second quarter when we return. You can see that the play before he makes the incredible move to the basket wasn't quite enough on the finger roll. Decker in the far corner knocks down a three. 13 points go against them. They've got to find somewhere put the ball in the basket here. Jackson off the glass. Nelson shovels it back to Koufos. Lovely assist from Luke Nelson and Rob Tabinostro. Jackson rebound menses and he pops it in. Wheeler all the way to the rim. Koufos takes the shot and knocks it down. And he's just finding a way off with the hook. It's a good challenge but an even better finish. Lobbed into Koufos. Decker's going to take the three. Oh what a shot from Sam Decker. Mackenzie gets past Taylor gets all the way to the basket and makes it in. Wheeling kicks to Mackenzie in the corner. All that pass is stolen away. Decker on his own and he will just drop it in for two. Plugging that big space inside. It's a big screen from Menzie so he frees up space for Mackenzie. The other stops he had in the BBL he did trouble about. Now with London as an assistant coach. He's tailored to the spin and the shot and he knocks it down without really any time for left. Wheeling going hard to the rim again and Patrick Wheeling laying it in. I thought he's done an excellent job. Second most of the player into double figures. Just got over Loving's hand and Decker was open and Decker knocks down his fourth three-pointer of the game. They must be set before. Stolen away by Jackson. Wheeling in the corner for three. He hasn't had many looks but when he finally gets one he knocks it down. Mackenzie was so aggressive at the start of this game that every single pump fake is working for him. Menzie's making it tough but Kubos with this goal. Fantastic defense there by the London Lions. Excellent close out by Sam Decker. Nelson with that little fall away that he hits so right. Oh West. Lane sort of opened up for him. I think he was like looking to pass and in the end he was like oh I'll have an easy two. That's Spacer. Shoot that shot. Of course he wrote. Loving attacking hard again and Zubcic trying to avoid the foul but Washington laying the shot clock. Does he see it? Didn't get it off in time. Oh did he? Oh maybe he did. It's been given. Loving hasn't stolen away. Soko will run it back and drop it in for two and Rob Pantagostro is going to call a timeout. We've seen those spectacular alley-oops this year with Sharma's involved. Absolutely. Washington turns the corner. Jackson in the corner for three knocks it down. Washington harassed by Oney. Down low to Nelson Hendricks. Oh that's a clean block. I thought that was on the way down. Hard ball for the riders because the defense is suffocated. Taylor gets it out to Best. Three knocks it down. Nelson Hendricks doing a good job of running the floor like all big men should and he converts. Soko into the deep. You've got to create and get open shot for each other on the offensive end. Nice pass from one to out of corner for two. McKenzie gets the rim and one. Kimball McKenzie. Well they needed to make a run and they've made it run early. Out to Whelan for three. Big shot. Oh he rims out but less to get it back. Whelan to the hole. That doesn't go in. He's pulled down by Nelson Hendricks. There's something at the end of the line here. There's Nelson Hendricks again on the glass with the putback. It's a four-point game. On the offensive rebound put back. Eight points personal now for Nelson Hendricks. Well you've got to say the change has has worked for Rob Patton Austria. The change from centre line. McKenzie lobs it towards Nelson Hendricks. Great finish. Beautiful. He was tested and penetration gets a nice soft finish there for Nelson Hendricks. Decker drives in. Decker scores again. 20 points now for him. Leading scorer in the game. Whelan getting all the way to the rim and he scores. Nelson throws it up high. Caught by Kupos and put in. Best looking at the clock. Here's Decker. Decker along the baseline with the exclamation point. Jackson for three. Strings it. They truly believe they could win this as well going in. They didn't see themselves as the underdogs I don't think. That was reflective on court. And the London Lions. The team everybody expected to win has won. It's been hard work for coach Smith and his team but they have their first trophy of the season.
