Good thing I'm wearing rain boots. I was hoping to just
test the ice and show you guys that it's not quite frozen yet.
Good example. So we just got snow on the ground a couple days ago which is amazing so
it's wonderful to be out but the temperature's still flirting between the positives and the
negatives. So on the forecast tonight we have a little bit of snow but we're having some rain
overnight so I gotta get a shelter set up to protect me from the rain because I don't want
to get wet. So beautiful out. I have a couple ideas for a shelter I want to build. I'm gonna
see if I can find a good spot for that and then we're gonna go from there. In general I'd usually
stay far away from a tree like this because it's a standing dead tree and it poses a risk of
potentially falling. That being said I don't expect it's going to fall anytime soon so
not only am I going to camp near it I'm actually going to use it as a support.
I might lash them down later. Fire, start cooking, finish the shelter.
Yeah it definitely sounded like the distant cry of wolves. I can't confirm but if it was
that's the third time I've heard wolves this year. Pretty cool. Potato, olive oil,
salt and a little bit of pepper. Yummy. Much more solid. So much wintergreen. All this wintergreen.
But with wintergreen the leaves have a little heart. It's like chewing a pack of gum. I know
I'm going to butcher your name but thank you Yoakum. I saw that and I was just like yep that's
it. That sounds delicious. I'm going to do that this trip so thank you so much. Oh yeah baby.
Pretty damn good. All right moment of truth. Looks pretty good. Oh yeah. Oh yeah.
Some butter, cheese, chives, bacon, a bit more cheese, some corn and last but not least some
green for garnish. Let's put her back in on that low heat. Yo. All right that looks pretty good.
A couple gollops of sour cream. Ladies and gentlemen we've done it. This is the best part
of the day. It's a lot of work to get out here and build this shelter and cook all that food
and now I just get to enjoy it. Wow. Wow. Wow. So 10 days ago I celebrated full year of sobriety.
Year free of drugs and alcohol and I'm at about 11 months of no vaping, no smoking. So I'm like
off everything which is wild. Absolutely wild. Yeah. Over a year ago I was pretty much in the
deep end. I was drinking and using every day and smoking and constantly just chasing those
dopamine rushes you know. All the time. All day. So I'm pretty proud to be where I'm at
and I'm happy. I'm freaking so happy. My success with YouTube I contribute to getting sober and I
no longer feel like the super highs but I don't feel the super lows either. I feel pretty even
keel all the time and I feel damn good. I feel pretty damn good. I don't have these crazy dopamine
spikes or like these huge rushes of euphoria but I'm happy and I haven't laughed like this. I feel
like I'm a kid at camp again. I feel real. I feel real. It's nice to control my emotions and my
happiness with like myself as opposed to seeking substances. So I did that for so damn long. So damn
long and it was fine for a while using on weekends or whatever here and there but then it just kept
on getting worse until like the last few years. Just like every day all the time. More and more
and more. Yeah had to quit. Had to end it all. Thank goodness because I wouldn't be here without it
or without having quit. Been a good spot? Yeah this year's been a ride. A ride. Oh man.
Yeah it's been a year. It's been a year. It's been a year. Oh wow. Oh.
Oh. Yeah. Yeah. I just heard wolves howling. Don't come here Mr. Wolves. Please.
Good night. Good morning. I'd be lying if I said I slept well or at all. As you can tell outside
it's a pretty miserable day. Up and at them. Salt. Yeah it turned out a little wacky but it's still
it'll still play. Bacon is so good. One awesome spot even though it snowed last night and rained
this morning and was cold this whole time this place was still absolutely beautiful. Definitely
a place I want to come back to for sure. So I took the wood that I used to build a shelter and stashed
it in a spot where I could use it again in the future. Even though I didn't get much sleep last
night I still had a very enjoyable experience building that shelter eating that potato and
just enjoying this inclement weather. It was pretty awesome. I got to get going and I can't wait for
the next trip but anyways hope you guys enjoyed that one as much as I did. Thanks for watching.
Have a great day.
