(Premier League 2022/2023): Highlights Brentford - Crystal Palace

It's a very good Saturday afternoon from Rob Palmer and Ethan Okuku and welcome to the GTEC Community Stadium. So Crystal Palace kick off seeking their first victory of the year 2023 against the buoyant Brentford English Premier League. Who's waiting with just one goal this season here is Schlupp. The spare man on the outside in Mitchell and a strong hand on it Now Riott. It's a vicious drive wasn't it? This is Mbumo. Mbumo great footwork from Mbumand. Well it bounced agonisingly wide for the Brentford striker. It's crowded out on Mbumo. There's that lucky deflection off the right foot actually of Geoffrey Schlupp. Mbumo with nice feet but yeah being closed down by Palace man Laconga I think it was. Saw the opponent and snatched that shot. Well that is a capital derby but not one that has a great deal of history until last season they actually haven't met each other. And Albert Sambi Laconga was coming more into the game in the second half but on his full debut he makes way. Ayoub has the space which passes he's going to make. Twists and turns with the defenders gets it through the defenders. Alise yes brilliant goal Talk about super sub. Eze comes on and makes the difference. That's what they've been crying out for On mark towards the end four or five yards out. This all starts with Jordan Ayoub. What some two or three minutes ago in his own defensive coincide near his own box. It's a lovely cut back isn't it? Decorated as well to feed. Michael Alise that's a great run from Eze. There's a determination to get into the box. Ayoub's skill and patience to tease the Brentford defence one way or the other. It's a delicious cross. Absolutely peach of a ball from Michael Alise and there's Ebereche Eze to nod it past David Rye. He's got no chance for what three yards out even closer than I thought Took him five and a half minutes from his introduction. Aaron Hickey has put in a good shift on the right hand side as has Rico Henry on the left but he's sacrificing the two full backs. It's gonna be Vitaly Yanil who comes on. Maybe a desperate cry from the home supporters. A little bit of clutching of straws going on from the locals. Oh exquisite from Eze Wonderful control. A little burst as well sadly the pass wasn't to match. For the Crystal Palace fans to endure before they can celebrate their first victory of the new year. This is it. Lacerle on the right for Brentford and Bouma flies it in and they get it. It's for Brentford. Real bullet They've kept plugging away from Brentford. I said they won't just launch the ball in from central positions. It gets towards that by that far byline. I said it was a peach of a cross from Michael Alise for Eze's goal. This is just as good on the weaker side for Brian and Bouma. That is a bullet header. Unchecked. Unmarked from that distance. With de Liza that hits the back of the net. What a finish. Well he scored a late goal against Everton.
