So on this channel, we have gotten opportunities to do some incredible things,
but I'm pretty sure that this video is going to top them all.
We are on the lush island of St. Lucia at the Jade Mountain Resort,
where we're getting the once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience what it's like
to stay in one of the most unique and luxurious hotels in the world.
So for the next 48 hours, we are going to document every single aspect of this experience.
This is a look inside the most luxurious hotel in the Caribbean.
To start this all off, arriving to the hotel was, I mean, it was insane.
There was a private helicopter waiting at the airport upon our arrival to St. Lucia.
After arriving here via helicopter, we were greeted by our major domo with some welcome drinks.
And I have to say, seeing Jade Mountain for the first time, I mean, just see for yourself.
Jade Mountain is a cornucopia of organic architecture.
It's built right into the side of a mountain.
At Jade Mountain, there are no traditional hotel rooms.
There are 29 individual sanctuaries, which are essentially hotel suites.
Typically, the suites in traditional hotel rooms are nothing more than a combined set
of the standard rooms with a few walls knocked down to create larger spaces.
That's not the case here at Jade Mountain.
The journey to your very own sanctuary is via this long suspended skybridge,
which is yours and yours alone.
It is shared by no other hotel guests, and it leads directly to your sanctuary.
Seeing all the individual sky bridges, it creates such a unique visual.
I have never seen another building, hotel,
anything that resembles Jade Mountain in all of my travels.
We are staying in the Galaxy Suite, which is the largest of the sanctuaries.
The entry door is a massive rough slab of exotic tropical hardwood.
This thing is 15 foot high.
You can see here how tiny Hannah looks in the frame next to this door.
The first step into this room creates an instant spiritual uplift.
The Piton Mountains are off in the distance.
They feel like they are inside of the room.
The Galaxy Suite is just about 2,000 square feet of living space
with this additional 900 square foot infinity pool.
The sanctuary has no walls.
It is open concept in every single sense of the word.
The air flowing into your sanctuary has been cleansed
by crossing countless miles of Atlantic Ocean.
The air here is some of the purest in the entire world.
Framed with the Piton Mountains off in the distance,
you have a four post king size bed complete with the tropical canopy.
I mean, this room really sets the mood.
This is the ultimate honeymoon romantic destination.
You forget that you're even in a hotel room.
There's not a single TV, computer, or radio here at Jade Mountain.
And that's a beautiful thing.
All the materials seen in this room come from the island,
from the wooden floors to the stonework on the columns supporting the structure.
Every single aspect of this room has been brought from this island
to create a space that flows into the landscape as one
rather than creating a structure that sticks out.
From the bed area, the room flows into this nice sitting area
with two day beds for lounging in the sun.
Then the main attraction in this Galaxy Suite
is that 900 square foot infinity edge swimming pool.
Off in the far corner here, we have the kitchen set up.
There's a table for four.
We have the wine storage and even this mini fridge,
which is also made from that wood that's found on this island.
Following this staircase up into the corner, we have the bathroom.
And the first thing you notice is this huge jacuzzi
with views of the landscape all around.
The fact that there's no walls,
the landscape and scenery is your entertainment.
Down below, you have the deep blues of the ocean
and those vivid greens of the rainforest that feel like they are right in the room.
I can't explain enough how that line between an interior living space
and an exterior space are blurred
to create one of the most unique spaces I've ever seen.
Just turn off the lights for the first time after dinner.
And we walked out to the terrace and looked up at the sky.
So we have the pool light on.
We're going to go for a swim.
And hopefully in this next clip,
you can experience just a fraction of what this actually looks like
being here in St. Lucia.
Storm rolls in.
You can't even see the mountains.
It's raining.
But that just adds to the atmosphere of this room.
When I was a kid swimming,
my parents would never let me swim when it was raining
because it was dangerous.
So this is like a dream come true.
I've always wanted to swim in the rain.
10 minutes later, the view comes right back.
And after a pretty lazy morning,
we headed off to the chocolate lab,
just steps away from our suite.
My name is Peter and welcome to my chocolate lab.
Let's go.
Cacao history on St. Lucia dates back to the 1700s.
And Jade Mountain has over 2000 cacao trees on the resort.
Peter, who runs the lab,
walked us through the entire process
of how the fermented and dried cacao beans
are refined to a roasted nib,
then grinded down by the machines
and finally mixed with pure sugar cane
to create world-class artisan chocolate.
Then we had a hands-on experience tempering the chocolate,
which is an art form in itself.
We then took the tempered chocolate
and molded it to size.
Then every single bar is neatly hand-wrapped
to perfection by Peter,
making your very own Jade Mountain chocolate bars.
We are walking off all that chocolate that we just ate.
Jade Mountain is a few hundred feet above sea level
and the resort actually has its very own private beach.
So we are opting to walk down.
There's a staircase that goes through the lush jungle
leading down to the ocean.
It's about a 10-minute walk.
And if you're not feeling like walking,
you can always take a shuttle from the resort
down to the beach.
Curbside drop-off in paradise.
The fact that Jade Mountain has a private beach,
white sand,
the clearest blue water you've ever seen.
It really does have it all.
There's not much in the world better than this.
Except, except I saw a sailboat there on the harbor
and the wind is picking up just enough.
What do you think about that big yacht?
That's a Jeff Bezos-sized yacht.
My name is Kerwin and I'm the captain of Suzy Q.
We rented a little sailboat for the afternoon.
Just taking a cruise right past the Pitons.
It's such dramatic land formations
just shooting out of the blue
covered in the luscious green rainforest you've ever seen.
We actually jumped off the boat
and did a little bit of snorkeling.
Oh my gosh.
The water is so clear.
It's paradise.
It is truly paradise.
They have some snacks on board.
They brought out a nice fruit plate,
nice bottle of champagne here on the boat.
And I mean, it's just the most relaxing thing you can do.
And Jade Mountain offers these sailboat excursions
for a full day or half a day.
The maximum is six
or you could rent it out for just two people.
Have the whole boat to yourself
and you get to really see the island.
It's one thing to see it from the land
but to really get out in the sea
and see it from a distance,
it is breathtaking.
