Behind us right here is the largest hotel in the Philippines.
Wow, this looks nice.
Coda, what have they set up?
They give you the menus on iPad.
This is so nice. This is lovely.
Good morning guys from our final morning here in Bracai Island.
I can't believe we've had the best couple of weeks here
and I'm so pleased we've spent so long in Bracai this time.
I'm going to start the video with a funny story for you all.
Something that happened to George this morning
and I thought the vlog would appreciate hearing what happened.
Okay, so I hope you're ready for this.
I also feel like I really look like I've been on an island for two weeks.
I'm a little bit sunburned, I've got freckles, my hair has gone lighter,
I'm covered in shells, I've got anklets coming out of my ears,
well actually out of my feet technically.
I kind of love the island look.
I'm not quite ready to go back into city life yet
but we do also love Manila so we are quite looking forward to heading back there today.
So anyway, this story, let me sit you down and we're going to do a little story time.
So picture this, I mean you're probably going to think it's ironic
that I'm filming a vlog clip when I'm saying we're in a rush
but basically we've got a flight this morning we need to catch,
we've got a schedule, we've got a speedboat meeting us,
we've got a van booked, we've got a breakfast time booked,
like we've got everything scheduled out this morning to be perfect.
So George, the only time in his life ever has decided to iron a pair of shorts.
He's never ironed them before.
There is like casual sports shorts.
He was like the iron's already on, I'm going to iron the shorts
and I was like fine but you realise the time right.
We're in a bit of a rush, we do need to get going.
Strange day to iron the pair of shorts that have never been ironed.
Didn't really need ironing, they were fine.
And let me show you what happened when George put the iron on the shorts, okay?
Are you ready for this?
Yeah.
He's melted them and these are, bless him, I feel really bad for him,
these are his like go-to shorts, his number one pair of shorts.
He wears them to sleep, to the gym, to go running, on travel days.
They're perfect, they've got a nice like zip pocket inside
to keep like cards and phones and stuff.
My best shorts.
His best shorts and he's had these for years.
I think they're from Uniqlo and I believe we went back at one point
to try and find another one because they're so good
and they'd already come like not in stock anymore,
they don't make them anymore.
He's gutted.
These are like, this is his comfort blanket,
this is his teddy bear he sleeps with at night basically
and I do feel bad for him but I also do think like
why are you ironing your shorts when you've got a flight to catch?
Also why am I filming a vlog clip when we've got a flight to catch?
We need to go to breakfast.
But anyway, these shorts are going to be staying on Brackeye Island forever.
They're going to be going in the bin here
and making their way to wherever things go here.
We're leaving a piece of us on the island.
How emotional.
But anyway, let's get going for today.
We've got an exciting day planned as always.
Obviously everyone ready to go.
Remy's awake.
Finally, I had a little lion.
Had a lion this morning Remy.
Didn't you Remy?
Remy only just woke up.
8am.
Coda was up at 6.
He's got tired eyes.
Oh bless him.
So cute.
Oh yeah, Coda's been up two hours.
I wonder how long he would have slept for.
I know.
No, he's just woken up.
Really?
You thought that was a nap?
Yeah.
How funny.
No, this has been waking up for the day.
Everyone ready for breakfast?
So ready.
Cheesy omelettes all round.
Sounds good.
Bit of bacon.
Sounds good.
Bit of fruit.
Sounds good.
I have to say the breakfast here at Chancellor's has been brilliant.
It's been really good.
I'm actually really sad to be leaving this hotel.
They're so nice.
They're some of the nicest people at hotels we've ever met.
Yeah, amazing.
Gonna say that.
We've been so well looked after here.
100%.
And it feels really sad to be leaving them today.
I want to bring them all with us.
Yeah.
Travel with us.
Alright.
Everyone ready?
Remy looks massive by the way.
Huh?
Remy looks massive.
He is massive.
He looks so big.
And George is six foot three and look how much of you are taking up.
I know.
He's a big boy.
Everyone thinks he's one or-
Well, he's nearly one.
People have said two.
Really?
Someone said, I thought he was two.
Someone said, I thought you were seven.
You massive four-year-old and you massive 10-month-old.
Whenever someone asks his age, they're shocked when we say 10 months.
Yeah.
And I think they talk to him expecting him to reply and it's like, no, he's a baby.
So why is he not walking?
Why is your two-year-old not walking yet?
Right.
Anyway.
Bye.
Coda absolutely loved.
Oh, bless him.
He's sad.
He's a little bit sad.
That's so sweet.
He absolutely loved Angel, who was the girl looking at him.
after us this whole trip, but they got, they got super close.
It's an emotional, uh, emotional conclusion to our stay here.
Okay.
We are at the port, leaving the island, leaving Boracay for however long.
Don't know.
I hope it won't be as long this time as it was the last time.
Because that was too long.
That was too long to not be in the Philippines.
Okay.
We're through the busy part and amazingly, we're getting on a really, really nice.
It does look beautiful here.
The water, even though we're just at the port, we are amazingly getting on a private speedboat
to leave the island, which is very nice.
These public boats, we've done them many a times and we'll do them again in the future.
But when there is the option, it is very, very nice.
It's much more comfortable.
Stepping off the island.
There we go.
Goodbye.
Boracay.
See you again soon.
Good morning, sir.
Good morning.
How are you?
I'm good, too.
Good.
Thank you.
Nice, quick, easy journey, straight into another van, off to the airport.
A little bit chaotic here this morning.
It's very busy, barely any seats.
The guy said that there's like 12 flights leaving today, which is more than normal,
so I think that's why.
And they just did an announcement saying we might have to wait on the bus for a little
while while we wait for there to be space on the runway.
And they've called zone one and then everyone else sort of blocked the whole way.
So they're like saying zone one, come through, but then you can't get through because everyone
sort of stood up in the queue.
It's a little bit manic.
So now we're, fingers crossed, it's not going to be too long in the bus.
I really hope it's air conditioned.
That was intense.
I feel scarred, physically and mentally.
That was like an hour on the bus.
Yeah.
Nice hour on a very hot bus, crammed in with lots and lots of people.
I was on the floor with Remy.
People did try and give me their seat, but I can't sit with him because he was so regularly
out of it.
And I'm sitting on the floor of a bus with a baby for an hour.
Nice.
Travel lifestyle.
That's how it goes.
We're on the plane.
Fingers crossed.
I'm not going to say anything on camera.
I feel I've done that before.
We don't want to jinx anything.
We're on the bus.
We're on the runway to Manila.
Let's go.
Why did I say let's go?
Why did I do it?
Manila, we made it.
We made it.
We're here.
And we are staying at...
Yay.
Thank you.
The...
Oh, thanks so much.
Appreciate that.
Largest hotel in the entire Philippines.
Yes.
Behind us right here is the largest hotel in...
The Philippines.
1,530 rooms.
Talking over each other.
Love it.
We're so excited.
We are so excited.
1,000 how many?
1,500...
1,530.
1,530 rooms at this hotel here.
The largest hotel in the Philippines.
I'm excited to see how it runs.
Like, how smooth it is.
How do you make a hotel that big and have a smooth everything?
I'm excited.
Let's see.
Let's find out.
Hello.
Oh, we have some welcome drinks here.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
Very nice.
Thank you so much.
Oh.
Very nice.
What is that?
It's a wild cranberry.
Cranberry.
That's it.
I recognise the flavour.
Nice.
You'll be very slowly, slowly.
Got to trust him with these sorts of things.
Good boy.
Nice and slow.
Thank you.
How's that?
Nice, right?
It's a little bit fizzy.
We've got two towers.
We're in the south tower.
We're 415.
But you're already getting...
415.
You're about to walk into Codes.
We're getting an idea of...
Yes.
Why am I walking backwards?
For Christmas.
I'm not sure.
Right.
Yes.
This feels huge.
They were like, floor 15.
Turn right out of the elevator.
And it's like a 15-minute walk.
No, they didn't.
It's like the airport when it's like, how many minutes do you get in?
Yeah.
They've actually...
They should put like walking floors in along here.
1531.
That's what we need to find.
15...
Hello.
Hi.
1531.
So we're going to get to the room.
No idea what the room looks like.
But a huge thanks to Grand Westside for having us, hosting our stay for a few nights.
We hugely appreciate that.
It's very, very kind.
So 1532, which means we must be close.
1531.
Here we go.
Where is it?
Here.
1531.
That's it.
1531.
We found it.
Let's go.
Can you do the honours?
Yeah.
Thank you.
Oh, push, push.
I want to share something with you real quick because this just arrived.
This is actually my father's day present from Lucy.
This is some new jewellery for me from a company called Gentle Bands.
This is sponsor of today's video.
Lucy has arranged this for me behind the scenes and they've sent me this ring.
So we're going to open it right now.
Wow.
So we've got a certificate of craftsmanship and here is, oh, that's nice.
Here is the ring.
Look inside.
It's like wooden inside.
Every Gentle Bands ring is hand forged through heat, time and pressure.
And how nice to have this associated with Father's Day.
It's actually quite a nice metaphor because being a dad is forever, isn't it?
Once you're a parent, you're always going to be a parent and that is super special to
me.
So yeah, thanks to Gentle Bands for sponsoring.
Thanks to Lucy for arranging this for me.
There's a link in the description.
You can use code JUICYBLOG for an exclusive Father's Day privilege.
Go and check that out.
And also a really cool bit, free custom engraving so you can really, so you can really get something
like this personalised.
Let's go and check it out.
Push, push.
Push really hard.
You've a camp muscle.
Wait.
Oh, try again.
Oh, we got in eventually.
There we go.
Oh.
Oh my goodness.
Wow, this looks nice.
And look at this.
Look at, oh, Koda.
Koda, what have they set up?
Oh, that's cute.
Oh, that's so nice.
Wow.
Take a picture first.
Hang on, let me take a picture.
Nice room.
We've got a big bedroom here.
Give you a little tour quickly.
Lounge.
Lounge area.
This is kind of like a suite room.
This is lovely.
Got TV here.
Sofa.
Oh, we got a few cakes, a few little cakes.
Oh, dear juicy vloggers, welcome to the Grand Westside Hotel.
Thank you very much.
Westside Hotel.
I'm having that.
No one touch, no one touch this one because that's the stuff I really like.
Bathroom through here.
Very, very nice.
Double sink.
His and hers.
That we do like.
Let's quickly check out the view.
Now I think that is Manila Bay.
And down here is our pool, which looks very, very nice.
Obviously don't want to zoom in and film people swimming, but that looks nice.
We will get down there this evening.
There are a number of restaurants here at this hotel, which is great news because as
you may know, lunch is my second favorite time of the day, just after breakfast and
just before dinner.
My three favorite times of the day.
I made that joke in so many vlogs.
I'm so sorry if you're sick of it.
Liz just said, yeah, it's a shame.
Shame you do that.
I just don't have any other good jokes, but we, I think the plan, we're quite hungry.
It's 3 p.m.
We're going to go to one of these restaurants now, see what the biggest hotel in Manila
has to offer for meals and lunch.
But we're staying here for a few nights so we can check out a few of them in this vlog,
maybe in the next vlog.
Then we're going to head to the mall because as you saw at the start of this vlog, my shorts
suffered a very, very sad and unfortunate end to their existence and the end to my custodial,
what's the word?
Ownership.
Ownership of them after years and years.
So we're going to go to the mall, see if we can get me a new pair of shorts from Uniqlo.
My ideal is to find the exact same pair and I'll buy like four pairs and just keep them
forever.
So something just happened that still blows my mind being someone who lives in the UK
and just something that you can do out here.
It's something as simple as laundry, but we just booked a Grab, which if you're from
the UK or somewhere else in the world that you don't have Grab, it's a service that you
can book a taxi, you get in the car, go wherever you want.
You can get food delivered, et cetera, et cetera.
You can also have items sent around.
So Lucy found a laundry shop before we arrived, WhatsApped them, said, hey, we're going to
drop some laundry.
They were like, cool, just send it in a Grab and we were like, oh, okay.
So we booked a Grab.
It arrives in like three minutes, a guy on a motorbike, and by the way, this is sounding
so normal if you're from this side of the world and you do this all the time, but to
us, this is incredible.
The motorbike arrives, hand over the laundry, it's going to be washed and folded and ironed
and everything within four hours, and then it's going to be sent back to us all lovely
and clean within three hours, all for the cost.
The Grab was like two pounds.
So a guy's just, a guy's just taken our laundries flying across Manila right now on a motorbike
and it's just going to come back clean in a few hours.
To us, that is life-changing.
But anyway, we are here at Cafe by West Side.
Oh, look at that.
I've just, I happened to stumble across the coffee menu, didn't even do that intentionally.
So a massive restaurant, let me show you quickly, goes all the way down there, all the way down
there and all the way down there.
So huge.
There's a stage, they're setting up a stage where we're going to be some music this afternoon.
Biggest hotel in Manila.
I don't know if this is their biggest restaurant or not.
I'm not sure, but we're going to try it out.
They give you the menus on iPads, which is pretty fancy.
Okay.
What do we want, Remy?
You want a double espresso or something?
Yeah.
Wine?
I don't need it.
They got a few nice bottles of red here.
Yeah?
Wine?
Okay.
All right.
The food is arriving.
I don't know how.
Like hats off to waiters and waitresses.
It's an incredible skill.
Just carried that whole thing on one, one hand.
Thank you very much.
Oh wow.
I'm looking forward to this lechon kawali.
First time having lechon kawali on this trip.
Yum, yum, yum.
Thank you guys.
Yeah, I thought there was no rice, but then we get this rice.
Don't worry, Liz.
You've got your plain white rice.
Your favourite meal.
So I've just had a mouthful of the black pepper beef.
It's really, really delicious.
It's like, let me show you a close up, it's kind of like coated in this sauce.
It's really yummy.
I'm going to try a bit of the sweet and sour pork now.
Also really good.
And we've got a lechon kawali as well.
I know I shouldn't eat with my hands in a nice place, but I'm just going to do it to show
you guys.
Look at that beautiful layering.
Delicious.
It's really good.
We've not had enough of this since we landed.
As in not today.
I don't mean since we landed, as in a few hours ago.
Very good food.
Okay, made it to the mall and more importantly, made it to Uniqlo.
See if I can find these shorts.
This could be it.
But mine had a zip.
They've got rid of them.
It looks, I think these might be the new version, but they've got rid of that very handy zip
pocket.
Oh, there's a zip at the back.
Oh, it's not the same, but it may be a little do.
Could also be these.
Oh, the material is so similar.
I can't see that zip, but I bought them like, I don't know, six years ago, something like
that.
Seven years ago, maybe.
I don't think they have them.
Okay.
We are going to, we're going to try these.
Apparently, I just asked, they don't do the one with the zip anymore.
This is the new version.
So let's give it a go.
Okay.
I think we got the look back.
I think they're okay.
I think.
It's hard to know when you love something so much and then it goes away and we burn
a hole in it.
Sad times.
Just trying to figure out if I need medium or large.
Don't want them any shorter than that.
I think they're good.
Okay.
We might just decide to do some shopping for the boys at the same time.
It's like, it's too big for him, but how cool is that?
It's a big island topping.
Wow.
What was the other one?
This one.
I'll get him this.
So it's onion.
He's never been there, but we've been here.
Wow.
So cool.
Yeah.
You want to see if it fits me?
Let's have a go.
What do you think?
Oh, it's a bit small, mate.
Just slight.
Yeah.
Slightly too small, eh?
Thank you though.
I think you can.
You think I'll get away with it?
I think.
It might just be skin tight.
I don't know about walking around in a skin tight yellow Pokemon t-shirt.
I don't know.
I'm not trying to scan these items.
But I just put them in this box and it knows what's in it.
That's crazy.
You just throw it in and it knows the item.
Okay.
We've come to our favorite frozen yogurt.
I still don't know how to say it.
We've got the pistachio mochi and almond.
It's our classic go-to.
And it's got dark chocolate and some little, we call them smarties in England, but they're
like lacosquitos or something here.
Mosquitos sounds like.
And we're currently at the Ayala Malls, Manila Bay.
And it's a really nice mall.
It's got like different buildings.
We really like it.
Well, maybe call it the hotel.
And we're just calling my mum.
But the internet's not very good here, so we can't really speak to her.
But trying to catch up with family at home if it's a weekend.
Yeah.
I love this mall.
It's so nice.
It's like two or three different buildings.
And it's already clean and nice.
And all the shops are the shops you kind of want to go in, not just like fancy shops.
They're all like, there's loads of different shops.
Yeah.
If I lived here, near here, I'd love this mall.
I'd be in it all the time.
How nice is it?
It's so cool.
I don't know why I like it so much.
It's an Ayala Mall.
It's covered in chocolate again.
Okay.
We're back at the hotel.
We're coming to just check out the pool area before we get the boys to bed.
And there's some kind of, what?
The gym.
Thank you, mate.
So the gym's here.
That's great to know.
That's awesome.
No, I've just grown up this time, matey.
How nice is this?
They've got a really cool outdoors area here.
This is so nice.
This is lovely.
Huge amount of atmosphere here.
Definitely.
They've got some acoustic music on.
I've never seen a hotel gym so busy.
Normally people never use hotels.
It's packed.
I'm planning on getting in there this evening.
Wow.
Let's go and have a look.
Oh, I've just seen like the buildings each side.
I just love that about these kind of big city hotels.
Let's go and check out the pool area.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to film, but we do plan on swimming tomorrow.
Okay.
Filming from below down because his kids are in the pool.
I don't just want to start filming loads of people's kids in the water.
But I don't know how this has happened.
Koda's just gotten in the water in his clothes.
He just felt like he was, he's wearing shorts.
I mean, he took his top off and his shorts.
He took his shoes and his socks off.
And we were like, this just feels like a childhood moment where if we just say yes, he's going
to remember this.
If we just let him bedtime, go for a swim instead of going to bed in his clothes.
And he's having the time of his life.
He keeps asking us to come in, but we're literally just like, we've been to the mall.
We're fully clothed.
We can't.
It's so nice here though.
Such an amazing atmosphere.
And I'm glad we said yes to this once.
Just got back to the room.
Whoa.
That was a big whoa.
Being treated to some fireworks out there.
I have no idea.
The whole hotel is shaking.
I know.
The windows are kind of shaking.
It's crazy.
Can you hear it?
Yeah.
I have no idea.
Wow.
Who's they are or why.
Oh, is that it?
Oh no.
Big finale.
I think it's like a whole thing.
It's okay.
There's like one little puff.
I thought it was going to be a big finale.
Can you see it?
I don't know if it's very obvious on camera.
This is the worst vlog footage ever.
There's nothing worse than watching fireworks.
Oh, just so you can get the idea.
It looks really good in person, but I can't make it look good because we've got reflections.
But yeah, you get the idea.
When you see loads of people filming fireworks, it's like, you're not going to sit there in
like a week's time and watch firework.
If you do, comment below and let me know, but no one's ever watched their fireworks
videos back.
Everyone's there filming it.
Whoa.
That was a good one though.
That is massive.
If you know where we are and you know the scale of these buildings, you'll know how
big this is.
Oh, where's Coda's camera?
That looks amazing.
Wow.
Wow, mate.
Good job.
Okay, we have 42 seconds left on this card to end this video and now I'm under pressure
to end it.
If you're still here, please comment.
End of vlog club.
You're in an exclusive club, which means you've watched the end of the video and we'll give
you a comment at heart.
I'm really stressed, George.
10 seconds.
If you enjoyed the video, give it a big thumbs up.
Subscribe if you're new around here and if you're already subscribed, thank you so much.
And we'll see you very soon in the next video.
Really happy.
I'm so red.
I look really sunburnt.
Someone earlier said I looked tanned and I said, no, it's red.
You're wrong.
It's not tan, it's red.
Thank you so much for watching this video.
Amazing hotel.
Really happy to be here for the next few nights exploring the area.
So make sure you're subscribed for new videos and that's me signing off.
Not through choice.
I'd rather speak for longer, but it's literally about to cut off, so.
From Manila.
Goodbye.
Oh, I had more.
I could have said loads more.
