Hey it's me Floyd. Welcome back. After spending the winter season back in Canada,
I'm on my way back to the land of smiles. This time I'm bringing some family members
for a three-week showcase of some of Thailand's most popular tourist destinations.
If you're planning a trip to Thailand and want a sample itinerary that hits some of the best
beaches and most amazing sights in all of South Thailand, including Koh Samui, Koh Phangan,
Krabi, Raleigh Beach, Koh Phi Phi, Phuket and of course Bangkok, then you're going to want to watch
this video. Hey if you're new here, welcome to Floyd Ventures. If you like this video,

In April of 2022, the rules to enter Thailand had relaxed again, requiring only PCR tests
upon arrival with no more pre-departure or day five testing required. After a late night arrival
in Bangkok, we quarantined for the night at a Shah Plus certified hotel near Suvarnabhumi Airport.
By 9am, we had our negative results and we were on our way back to the airport to book a flight
to our first island destination, Koh Samui. Koh Samui is located in the Gulf of Thailand
and is the second largest island in the kingdom next to Phuket. It has an international airport
and a local population of 70,000 people. The main beaches on the west side of the island
are Nathan Beach and Lipanoi. On the north is Mae Nam Beach and Bo Put Beach, home of the famous
Fisherman's Village. The largest and most popular beach where we spent our afternoons
catching the sun and swimming in the sea is Chawang Beach on the east side of the island.
Well here I am walking down beautiful Chawang Beach in the island of Koh Samui in the kingdom
of Thailand. I'm here again. Love this place. What a beautiful day. We got some nice hot sun.
It's 30 degrees. I'm loving life. We had found a cozy bungalow with a short walk or easy bike ride
to Fisherman's Village where we got to do some exploring, do a bit of shopping and had some
fantastic meals right on the beach. We spent a couple of days exploring the island and after
that we took a short ferry ride to our next destination Koh Phangan. Hey everyone. Welcome to
another episode of Floyd Ventures. I'm here on the island of Koh Phangan in the kingdom of Thailand.
My very first time here on the island and I'm doing some exploring on to the very north part.
We're walking along this amazing sandbar. Water waves coming in on both sides. Beautiful hot day
and the water is amazing. Check this place out. Our beachside bungalows came with a family of
friendly dogs and they were located in Tong Sala village on the west side of Koh Phangan
only minutes away from the ferry and a perfect location for watching the sunset.
The pier resort was a great choice with air-conditioned sea view bungalows
at 25 US dollars a night. This was an ideal spot and a super deal.
Just to make this place even better was a great restaurant bar with live music right next door
and we had the pleasure of listening to this reggae duo as we enjoyed our dinner on the beach.
I was fortunate to get some really nice drone videos of the area that day
but the highlight of my day was capturing this fine drum solo on film. Ah well thanks for the
entertainment guys that's definitely gonna get this video some likes. On our last night in Koh
Phangan we decided to check out the local market in Tong Sala. What happened that evening was
something truly unbelievable. We started to notice some flying insects forming around some
of the lights and then there was more and then more and then the swarm. Well I don't know if
you can see this but have you ever seen anything like this? We found out later these things were
flying termites. Apparently they fly around for a few hours and then lose their wings and disappear.
We came back a couple hours later and just like that they were gone and the next morning
so were we. Well today's the day we head out from beautiful Koh Phangan. Island famous for the full
moon parties but it's also just an amazing place to come and chill. You want a nice quiet cheap
bungalow come to Koh Phangan. Anyway we're just waiting for the ferry. We're on to the next leg
of our trip. We're going to be moving on to Krabi. We're going to be staying in Raleigh beach tonight
and we're really looking forward to that. It's going to be awesome so stick around and I'll show
you all of it. The journey to Raleigh was divided into four stages. While we were waiting for our
another swarm of flying animals came over to say goodbye. The second stage of our journey
was a three-hour bus ride from Sratani to Krabi. From Krabi we had a 15-minute van ride to the pier
where we took a long tail boat to Raleigh beach. The journey took about six hours and it was a long
day dragging our luggage around but this was our reward. Raleigh beach one of the most beautiful
places I have ever been and definitely one of Thailand's top destinations. After a long day
of travel I decided to relax at the lounge of my resort with my camera enjoying a cold beverage
watching another amazing sunset. Well hello there check this out I just love exploring get myself
lost let's find my way out of here look at this what a cool little spot and look where it comes
out probably one of the nicest beaches in all of Thailand. The next day we rented a kayak and paddled
around to Pranang or cave beach. This place was 360 degrees of pure magic absolute beauty
everywhere I looked. Again from Raleigh beach wonderful Thailand. Beautiful day today rented a kayak we went
exploring around the neighboring islands and beaches have a look at this you're gonna love it
man things don't get any better than this water warm not too cold or not too hot today yesterday
in the afternoon the water got a little bit soupy it was a little warm but
I could get in the water before noon it's nice and refreshing man oh man this is awesome
well look at me here in paradise
I just can't say enough about this place and pictures just don't do it justice
while walking along the beach I noticed these random little patterns in the sand
my curiosity got the better of me so I decided to have a closer look
these tiny crabs were making little balls of sand and very precisely
placing them in amphitheater like patterns around their safety nest under the surface
I wonder if they're building a fortress to deter invaders or perhaps they're masters
of landscape design with the sole purpose of attracting a mate if you by chance know
what's going on here please tell us all in the comments below in this close-up you can see this
little crab placing sand balls behind him he rolls them up and tosses them to the right and to the
left this one has some housekeeping to do but all the while keeping his emergency escape route clear
so he can escape at the first sign of danger a little further down pranang beach the views became
even more spectacular and this is the reason they also call it cave beach the princess cave
which is also a buddhist temple is adorned with hundreds of decorative wooden phalluses
these gifts of frillity brought by local fishermen were exchanged for good luck on the seas by
hopefully bringing the princess pleasure despite the questionable decor this was another example
of how beautiful thailand is if you weren't interested in renting a kayak you could walk
to this beach from the east side of raleigh near the pier on an amazing path under the jagged
limestone cliffs above again the scenery here was a natural wonder with surprises
around every corner if you did however decide to kayak over here are some of the sights you'll see
along the way well here we are in raleigh beach and just have a look at this beautiful little
bungalow we got to spend the night in absolutely amazing let's go for a little wander and let's
check this place out this resort was huge as you can tell from this walk to the beach
the many bungalows that they have available the sand sea resort ideally located in the center
of raleigh beach these bungalows book up fast so if you want to stay here you better book early
and make a reservation then you can treat yourself to a swim in the pool eat and drink
with some amazing views and of course access to this amazing beach raleigh beach has now become
one of my favorite places on earth after a couple of days in raleigh we packed up jumped in another
long tail boat and headed over to ao nang beach
ao nang is a larger beach town with more restaurants and nightlife it has a wider
variety of accommodations it is also accessible by land and only 40 minute drive
from krabi airport
we spent our evenings at the rooftop pool at the blues hotel in ao nang at the base of beautiful
limestone mountains watching sunsets light up the sky
well today's the day we leave ao nang we make our way to kopipi looking forward to
some more adventures here's the ferry we're gonna board we'll see you when we get there
the ferry ride to kopipi was just over two hours it was perfect up on the top deck to
view the amazing scenery of thailand's west coast on the andaman sea the pipi harbor view
was the perfect resort very close to the main pier and also right on the beach kopipi is one
of thailand's most popular party islands well known for its wild nightlife amazing fire shows
and beach parties that go all night long kopipi is not only known for its nightlife but also for
its natural beauty we went on a tour to maya bay made famous by the movie the beach in the year 2000
one of the best things to do is to rent a long tail boat in late afternoon
and watch a beautiful sunset close the day
after enjoying a few incredible days in kopipi we moved on to our next island destination
phuket i'm not going to talk about the many wonderful things of phuket in this video
but you can get the full scoop on my beyond petang video by clicking the link above

where we stayed on the 58th floor of the labua state tower and resort where they filmed the
the labua state tower is located along the chow praya river
directly across from the icon siam shopping plaza this resort was opulent the rooftop bar
was absolutely over the top it was a classy place and i'm not gonna kid you the drinks were quite
pricey but the view was priceless if you were planning a trip to thailand and you only have a
few weeks i would suggest you follow an itinerary just like this one you will see some amazing sights
