HORRIBLE ALLOTMENT NEIGHBOURS / EMMA'S ALLOTMENT DIARIES / MARCH 2020

Morning guys, so I've had a bit of a situation this morning, not a very nice one either. I've got to my plot this morning after doing a school run like I always do and I noticed that there's quite a lot of rubbish in the back of my plot which wasn't there before and somebody has dumped all their rubbish from their allotment plot onto my plot. I'll show you it here, all of that, all of this here they've just dumped on my plot. I'm not sure where it's come from, I've already got my own rubbish there in a little pile but look who does that? So I don't know if they think the plot's abandoned at the back or something or if they just thought that they would get away with it, I don't know but I have got a sneaking suspicion that it is my neighbour over here, I think it was them. I don't want to like point fingers or anything or be like you know accusing people without knowing but I'm pretty sure it is them because they had quite a lot of rubbish on their plot and now it seems to have all gone and you can see that there's some rubbish dumped on that plot over there as well which is all overgrown so I'm kind of thinking that they're used to using this plot as like a bit of a dumping ground but they've literally just dumped tons of rubbish at the back of my plot. I mean what am I supposed to do about this situation guys? What am I actually supposed to do? What the hell? Um god I'm so annoyed about it. The thing is is I'll you know I'll take it all to the dump and stuff, we're hiring a van soon anyway to get all of our rubbish here like you know to the dump soon anyway but like what's to stop them doing it again you know and if it all disappears then maybe they'll just think oh well they got rid of it so maybe I'll just dump it. I don't know what to do to be honest um this is not a situation that I thought would happen today and it's actually because I wasn't in the best of mood yesterday um and this has just like kicked me while I'm down to be honest it's proper kicked me in the teeth while I'm down so now I'm just like I don't want to be here um sorry you're a bit wonky let me try and debunkify you um yeah I've actually had a couple of situations like that with people around here um just like little things little things that you think that's a little bit rude or something like people like telling me to open the other gate instead of the gate I've been opening or you know can you please make sure you shut it properly or something even though I do every time like literally as I'm about to lock shut that door literally as I'm about to lock the gate someone's been like I'm so sorry about this door it's so rude will you come here oh bloody camera flipping heck are you all right sorry it's darker now because the door's shut but what can I do um yeah literally as I've been about to lock the gate someone's asked me to like things like the little tiny things like that that just made me go oh okay like you know it's just a little bit passive aggressive a little bit odd a little bit controlling and um so I'm starting to think that the people around here is not as nice as I first thought and also they're all coming back now because it's springtime they're all flooding here back when no one's been here all winter I've kind of had the whole plot to myself all winter and now everyone's kind of started to come back and it's just really pissed me off I've already pissed off now I've worked so freaking hard on my plot and I've chopped down all the bloody brambles and I've dug it all out and I've done everyone a favor really because you know they're closing allotments down all the time and I'm here taking on one of the worst ones you know stopping all the weeds from growing onto their plots and stuff I've worked really hard and then people are just taking absolute piss what is that all about why bloody why you know and I really feel like it's just been a massive ******* kick in the teeth I'm really pissed off about it not happy not happy I just want to go home now what an absolute shit to start the ******* day what absolute shitter right I'm gonna use these big stings that I cut down from the tree yesterday these big branches to make some kind of like um a structure like a teepee style can you hear me like a teepee style style structure to grow peas or sweet peas up or something to make a bit of a den for the kids so I'm gonna try and cut them and just see what they're gonna look like and tie them with some twine or something so let's give that a go right all right okay all right I've just put all the rubbish in a big pile and covered it with a black ground sheet so that it just doesn't look so awful because it's just making me feel really down looking at it so I've sort of done that put it all in a pile there and um covered it with a ground sheet I don't really know what else to do to be honest it's just making me so depressed so there and then I'll remove it like when we get the van in a couple of weeks time what else to do that's the idea I'll tie some string around it make that secure and then hopefully it won't fall and crush my kids if you wanted to I'm kidding I don't I don't we don't oh all right okay actually feels really solid jesus has actually made something I can't believe it right right here we go I've built a little bit of a wigwam is that what they're called a wigwam a den basically here it is what do you think oh focus there we go it's quite difficult to see on camera actually so just tied the big ones in at the top and with some twine and then I just pushed them into the ground as far as they could so it's really rigid and then I've used these smaller ones around it and if I come around here you might be able to see a bit better what I've done there it is the wigwam I think that's what they're called otherwise I'm just being really rude um so there's like a big opening here and then you can kind of come inside like that you can see I'm surrounded by sticks I don't know if you can see this properly and but yeah I've just sort of tried to manipulate them around a little bit um where am I showing you here sort of manipulated them around so that it's a little bit more of a a um structure and then you can see the top up there all tied together so yeah this is going to be my kids area of the plot really where they can just come and chill out I think I might grass it I might put some grass seed down soon um they've got the little den over in the corner I think I'll try and grow stuff up here I don't know if anything will grow there because it's quite shady but um if it doesn't I'll just keep filling it with sticks but yeah um I think it's quite nice actually um I needed to do something a bit creative today because you know allotment wars going on issues I'm so annoyed about it because this is like my happy space and it's just sort of been tainted now a little bit so I don't really know what to do about it I'm a little bit annoyed oh god some people oh god some bloody people such losers I don't know you know I'm in two minds about the peas now some of them are definitely dead but some of them are like clinging on and I don't think they'd do that if they were dead so I think some of them have survived and you can see the ones that have survived the ones over this way are doing really quite well they're actually clinging on and then they kind of die as they go that way I'm not quite sure why that's the case actually but that's weird isn't it I might just plant some more that side but some of them are alive some of them are alive right just before I leave you I'm just going to tell you what I'm going to do with this polytunnel thing because polytunnel's gone now I've had enough of that right I'm not I'm not having that anymore to be honest to be fair I've grown tomatoes in my garden without a polytunnel for years and it's been fine so as long as I find a sun trap and maybe build some kind of wall and put them up against the wall I think they'll be fine um I'll just plant them out really late but this I'm going to basically use the poles and make like a bean structure and grow something off it I've got a lot of like vertical growth on my plot but I think that's and use as much space as I can and um all the stuff I like to eat and everything can be grown up so they're gonna have to grow it up you know oh if you know you know right okay I'm off I'm out there I've had enough um Jesus I should have brought that um oil I was gonna bring oil today I forgot um it's just nails coming through the roof where I've tried to fix the roof um I might hang something for it make it a purpose oh I'm stuck right as always guys thank oh god as always guys thank you for about the person dumping rubbish on my plot would be great I'm probably not going to follow it and the reason is because I'm just completely clueless and timid and I don't like to I don't like confrontation so it just kind of means I'm screwed really aren't I I'm gonna have to grow a pair aren't I I know I know um right I'm gonna go home and um yeah I hope you enjoyed the vlog see you next
