Here are some simple Qi gong exercises I have started doing. Often the most simple things in life are the most powerful and fun.
Hi my dear, gorgeous friends.
It's a windy day today. I hope the video is okay.
I just want to share with you some Qigong, which I've been looking into.
I've done this before, but this is with movement.
The Qigong I have shown you before was standing still.
And the people who do that and who have discovered that say that it's the most powerful.
But I actually find this moving Qigong is very beautiful.
And I think it suits me better.
Let's get a bit closer.
The whole idea of Qi in the Chinese tradition, understanding that everything is filled with life energy.
And according to these Qigong masters, the reason why we become sick is because the Qi is not flowing properly in our bodies.
And it can be because of many different reasons.
But when you do these exercises, you're supposed to help all the channels, all the meridians and the energy.
The way the energy is supposed to move, you help it.
And as you know, I'm a believer that we have a creator.
And we are loved.
And I think it's beautiful to combine the two.
So you actually are doing Qigong with God and Mother Earth.
And receiving the love that comes from them.
So while you're doing it, you're not just moving your own Qi or generating your own Qi.
But you're actually celebrating life and saying thank you to God and Mother Earth that we are one.
And that we wish good.
And this thankful, grateful space.
And enjoy just moving, doing these very quiet movements.
I think it's really, really powerful.
And there's many ways to do this Qigong.
I've looked into it and apparently there's a hundred different ways.
And I might be wrong, but it seems like it's actually just the fact that you're moving very slowly.
And you're breathing deeply.
That actually is the most powerful part of it.
Or what it is all about.
And many of the Qigong movements are actually just imaging animals' movements.
So I'll just do a few of the simple ones I'm learning.
And yeah, you can try if you like.
But go onto the internet and look.
There's many beautiful people showing you how to do this.
So you stand with your feet a little bit apart.
And you bend your knees just a little bit.
So you're sort of bouncing.
And the most important thing really is to actually relax your body.
So you're learning to move from a relaxed state.
Instead of moving out of a tense state.
And it seems strange that it's healthy for your body and your muscles and every part of your body to relax.
But it is.
And the fact that the mind becomes very quiet, of course, is very, very healthy for us.
So I bend the knees a little bit and just going up I breathe in.
And going down I breathe out.
And they say you can breathe out through your mouth.
But I think it doesn't really matter.
As long as you just really, really relax.
And if you like you can just put a word in there.
But it's just so beautiful as it is.
You can just say thank you.
Thank you for life.
Thank you that I am loved.
Make me an instrument of your love.
And every time you finish one type of movement, you make a clearing.
I think it's very beautiful.
You just breathe out.
And you exhale now.
Stretching up.
Bring your arms down.
Inhaling and then exhaling.
So simple.
And you inhale.
And you exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
And again.
You push up like you're pushing something heavy.
And they say it's really good to have a little smile on your face.
It's very healing.
And to sense that you have a smile inside you.
You're smiling at life.
Smiling to God.
Last time.
Looking into the beautiful heavens.
Now we do a clearing again.
And here's a breathing one.
And you start like this.
And you breathe in.
And you breathe out.
And you bend and you sort of tighten your buttocks.
Breathe in.
Bend your back.
Tighten your buttocks.
Stretch out your arms.
Oh, your back.
And then bend.
Thank you Mother Earth.
Thank you that I am me.
Thank you that the world is filled with love.
And we'll do a clearing again.
Tree pose.
And here's one where you spread your legs a little bit more.
You breathe in.
And now you make a fist.
And the other one you go like this and you breathe out.
And you pull like you were holding an arrow.
Pulling an arrow.
Or bow.
Breathe in.
And you have your knees quite bent on this one.
Last time.
And make a clearing again.
And you can just end off standing with your knees soft again.
And just feeling your breathing into your stomach.
And feeling grateful that you are right here and you are alive.
And that you are loved.
Thank you God.
Thank you Mother Earth.
So that was a little simple lesson of Qigong.
See you my friend.
