We are back in the Hocking Hills area in Ohio today,
now at this new 40-foot shipping container home.
There are two other Airbnbs on this property,
but today we are at the Luna Container,
and it's one of my favorite container builds
I've seen in a while.
I think the hosts made great use of the space
for the interior, so let's go and check this place out.
All right.
Welcome to this brand new 40-foot shipping container home
dubbed the Luna Cottage.
It has a bright white exterior,
and I love all of the gorgeous wood trim around the windows
and all of the siding closer to the roof.
Right next to the front entrance,
you have these two comfortable black rocking chairs
along with some extra pillows
and those lanterns on either side.
I'll mention there are some other Airbnbs on this property.
They're all parts of the Hocking Hills Cottage Company.
They're working on this really cool silo Airbnb currently.
I hope I can come back and film it when it's complete.
At the other end of the property,
there is an additional shipping container home Airbnb.
This one is black, and my friend Levi Kelly,
who many of you know, filmed a tour over there,
so check out his video linked down in the description
of their other home.
But that's it for the front exterior.
Let's now head inside.
We'll begin first in the main kitchen area.
You can see it's a very open floor plan
on this side of the container
with both the kitchen and the living room,
and these hosts are so incredibly generous.
They just left behind so many goodies,
accessories, and free food that you'll see shortly.
Let's not go into some more detail.
Your main countertop area has plenty of space
if you need to get some cooking done during your stay.
Looking at the shelves now,
you have some decorations on that top shelf
and plenty of glasses, plates, and mugs on the lower shelf.
I'll walk a little further into the kitchen now though
and take the camera and pan more to the left.
You can see the sink area a little closer now
and your black fridge and freezer unit there at the far end
which matches with the cabinets perfectly.
Now, I did say this is a well-stocked kitchen
and keep in mind this is only a 40-foot container,
so we don't have a ton of space,
but you may be wondering where is the stovetop.
Well, they've got you covered.
Down beneath the sink, you can find this huge hot plate
if you need it for cooking.
Now, for the other side of the kitchen,
we're gonna look at the opposite wall there on the left.
I'll call this area the coffee bar and breakfast setup.
You have even more appliances here waiting for you,
everything from not one but two coffee makers.
There's also a bunch of toasters and your microwave
that can be found more down below
on those two bottom shelves.
You have a bunch of different things here
from all of your different Keurig cups
to apple cider and hot chocolate
to a bunch of breakfast bars.
On the bottom shelf, the host added some plastic silverware
in case you're eating outside maybe and some cutting boards.
But next to all of that, in this little black box,
you can find a ton of games for your entertainment
like Yahtzee and the classic game of Scrabble.
To wrap up the free goodies section,
there is this giant gift basket
waiting for you when you check in.
The host told me she went to Costco
and just bought a bunch of different stuff.
There's even this nice handwritten card
and food items like salsa and chips and plenty of candy.
You are very well taken care of here at Luna Cottage.
Not to mention there's also this nice and in-depth guest book
which I definitely suggest reading.
That will do it for the kitchen area.
So let's now head on over here
to the other end of the container
and this is your living room.
Overall, the design felt a bit more of a boho style to me,
especially with the rug, the pillows
and the decorations on the wall.
But in particular, I love this couch.
The color of the leather was so bright and warm
and inviting, it really stood out to me.
And you also have this lovely coffee table at the end.
The lighting definitely hits this room perfectly
in the late afternoon.
And I was going through some of the reading materials
on top of the coffee table regarding some activities
to do in the Hocking Hills area.
But I really love this space.
On the opposite wall, you can find a smart TV there
at the top of the wall.
And then this nice fireplace in case you're visiting
during one of the colder months here in Ohio.
That will about do it for the living room though
in this first half of the container home.
So let's now exit this space and switch gears
and look down this hallway.
I'll pull back the door and this will lead us
into the one bathroom in this container home.
The free amenities trend continues.
If you forgot any basic bathroom supplies,
these hosts have got you covered on top of that shelf.
There's also that unique wallpaper
which can be found along this main wall.
And you have this small black and white sink in the corner.
Opposite of all of that, you'll see your shower.
And in that right shelf, you have some extra toilet paper,
a ton of shower towels and some towels for the hot tub,
which we'll be checking out shortly.
For the final room in this container home,
we're going to walk all the way to the end
and this will take you into the bedroom.
I love the black and yellow color scheme here,
along with all the decorations on the table
and some of the modern art on that black wall.
If we also take the camera
and pan more to the right-hand side,
you can find another smart TV here.
So you have two, one in the living room
and one here in the bedroom,
both fully loaded with all of your major streaming services
for plenty of entertainment options.
To begin to wrap up in the bedroom,
if we look up, you can see some hangers there,
along with this skinny closet for some extra storage space.
There's even a luggage rack there in the corner.
And I'll also mention there's an additional door here,
so you can slide this across for some added privacy
while looking down the hall.
That will conclude the interior portion of our tour.
So I'm now going to head to the backyard,
which is personally my favorite part of the home.
First up, you have this nice outdoor sitting area.
It has two chairs, a coffee table,
and this comfortable couch.
If I now walk all the way to the left at the end,
I'm going to take off this cover to the hot tub.
It's really easy to peel back,
and then it just sits here at the end of the tub.
And now your hot tub is all set and ready to go.
It's pretty big.
You can never go wrong with having one of these.
We'll now switch gears to the other end
of the backyard area,
where you can find these two fun swinging black chairs.
They're very snug, soft, and fun to swing in.
You can see I'm also beneath some string lights.
The string lights run all the way down
the exterior of this home, in addition to this grill.
So one person can grill
while the other person swings right next to them.
Now, to begin to wrap up,
you also find a bunch of firewood, kindling,
and other fire starter supplies
waiting for you right next to your hot tub.
So I'm now going to grab a bunch of firewood
to head to the fire pit.
And here lies your lovely fire pit.
I'm going to get a fire up and running very quickly,
and here we go.
You'll notice this entire area is very neatly designed
between the path, the stones, and the pebbles,
and the nice wood that surrounds everything.
But we are all good to go.
And looking into the backyard from this angle,
there's really no one else out here.
It's very private looking in the opposite direction.
And this is your backyard setup, ladies and gentlemen.
Very relaxing way to end my day after shooting.
And I'll now finish with this final drone shot
that when you zoom out,
gives a better overview of the land as a whole.
Thank you so much for watching, guys.
I really appreciate your support.
And I'll see you very soon for a brand new Airbnb tour.
