(Premier League 2022/2023): Highlights Liverpool - Manchester United

It is Liverpool against Manchester United for thrills and spills, this fixture rarely disappoints. United arrive here on a real high after that first piece of silverware since 2017. They hope the first of many to come. Bruno Fernandes, Beckhorst, Casemiro scores but the flag is raised. And then it was just a case of can he find the finish and that is much more like it from Cody Gakpo. It's still there, now this is Salah, Shaw has been careful not to handle it. This um this isn't the best for Liverpool. Martinez the defender, Salah turns and twists, Gakpo. Taking it on is one thing, doing what he's done to Martinez, he's turned him inside out and he slipped and it made it easier for Salah to pick out Gakpo. Shaw, Bruno Fernandes until he turns into Henderson and it's 4-on-2 if Liverpool are quick enough here. Darwin Nunez, cut out by Salah, it's a good look, Manchester United nil and the emphatic nature of this Liverpool performance is confirmed. Efficient, incisive and clinical and once possession was lost again I think Manchester United were always struggling to get the numbers back behind the ball. I think they are a little bit unlucky in terms of the deflection it took to take it into Mo Salah's path. McTominay is unfortunate but De Gea can do little about that and on his right foot he thought this is too much of an offer to turn down, I'm just going to give this a lash and um yeah the pace behind it coming off the underside of the crossbar there's very little you can do about that. Rashford for Sonico here and the angle ultimately too tight Darwin Nunez, the touch here is Darwin Nunez flick header on it from Henderson's cross and Manchester United have been caught again I mean if you're a Liverpool fan turn it up to this day to make it six and this so I'm not convinced it's it's going to be given as yet we might just have to wait a little bit longer but I think it's it kind of surmises what we've seen. Could it get worse for the visitors? Salah, Roberto Firmino. Considerable today and they were able to help it on from there we thought he miscontrolled it and it got behind them but not a problem. Surely we'll have more good days this season but as the final whistle blows at Anfield this has been as emphatic a one-sided performance as you will see
