What is that? It's a little conch shell. Oh that's cool. So what's up happy people? Welcome to the
Bahamas. We're here at Old Bahama Bay. Check this out. We got flat, calm sea conditions.
The girls are all dressed, ready to go. What do y'all want to do today? I found big conch shells
too. A big conch shell? Yeah. Let me see them teeth. Oh yeah. All she wants for Christmas is her
two front teeth. Let me just give you the 360 degree. Oh my gosh. How blessed are we
to be here and I appreciate you for being here with us. Let's go. Austin Crocker.
Can we go in the big wells? What? Straight back. A little one guy. Oh my gosh. Literally
that is a license to catch fish.
My best shot. I bet I got him. Wow. Look at that.
I was literally about to crack a big old grouper and I remembered oh my goodness
it's not grouper season until like May 1st. I was like ah. So I got a big lionfish instead.
Okay girls. Here Austin, I'm going to come right up the back.
Big lionfish. So we just speared a couple fish. Now it's time to let the girls do some deep
dropping. Am I pointing fast? No you're perfect. You're perfect. That's a nice fish. You want to
go snorkeling? Okie dokie. Hey let's do this. Let mommy and you girls catch a few fish on
deep drop and then we'll go snorkeling. High five. Shallow water so you can dive. Boom.
You got a tuna fish. What? That's a tuna. Yeah. Are you kidding me? Girls are eating them tonight.
You could have asked me a hundred things what she was going to catch
and tuna wouldn't have been one of them. Oh my gosh. Where do you want me to put them?
Uh go up there and put them right in the coffin box in the slush. Push them down into the slush.
There it goes. Crocker, can you explain what just happened? I was just trying to coach her
again on how to feel bottom and then I got bit again. It's all about the tone Crocker. You got
to say it in a nice way bro. Wait till you get married. The tone has to come down even more.
Are you kidding me? So nice to fight a fish and not get sharked off.
Oh I should have said that. Yeah, yeah. Really, really smart thing for you to say
as Jaws appears. Looks like a snapper. What do you have? Is that a big mutton snapper?
You're not allowed to lose the rod Crocker. Here. I got the rod. Help him Chloe.
Reel it up. I don't know. I cut myself. Looks itty. Is it a tuna? Is that a wahoo?
Big cereal mackerel. Get the gap honey. Okay where is it at? Where is it? You're gonna have
to look up front. Wait I'll get the gap. I'll get the gap. I'll get the gap. Oh where's the gap?
That's a huge cereal mackerel. Good grief.
He's not gonna hang out long because he's got teeth. Okay, okay. Well bring him this way. I'm
trying. You got him? Nice. Look at the size. Awesome. Holy crap. Oh my god. I've never seen
one that big. That's really cool. It looks kind of like a wahoo. Stand up. There you go. There she
is. She knows what's up. Hold on. Get him. You got a nice fish there Aria. Good job.
Oh you got something big. She got a big fish. You might need the gap again.
Whoa look at that. I don't want to smash my hand. Good job. Good job. It's heavy.
My arm's gonna be tired tomorrow.
I'm about to drop a vibe down. I've caught a lot of fish on these jokers.
Good job. Oh that's the jig I use in Alaska.
That works very well. This is a really good lure to use out here. It's just you know
kind of has the same action as uh as live bait. You just drop it down and sort of
it's called a vibe it has a lot of vibration.
Just don't go further than me. How deep are we honey? Please don't say a lot.
What? Keep them coming.
It's so big. Oh got nailed on the vibe.
Head set up a fishing rod.
I see color. Oh Aria what do you got baby? What do you got?
Oh that's a nice fish honey. Keep them coming. This is really cool to see my six-year-old
smashing a fish on the bow. Emma's smashing a uh a sprinkled cookie.
Keep them coming baby. Keep them coming. Real real real.
Do not go any further. I don't know what it is. I hope it's something very good.
Pull it up fast. I think it's a mahi-mahi. Then drop it back. Find bottom again.
Keep them coming Aria. What do you think it is? Mahi-mahi. Oh mahi-mahi. Are you a cookie monster?
Come on Aria. Keep cranking. Crank crank crank. Fast as you can.
I don't know what it is to tell you the truth. Real real real. You're getting really close.
Here's the leader. I see the fish Aria. Hold on. What do we got? What do we got? What do we got?
Reel this right up to the leader. Okay now stop. It's an African pompano. Watch out. That's an
African pompano. Holy smokes. You caught an African baby. Get the gap. Oh my like quickly.
Aria give me some skin. Yes. Look at this baby. Are you kidding me? Hold your hands out.
What do you think about that? Aria look at how cool that is. See his big streamers back here?
That's big. Yes that is an African pompano. Say cheese. Look at this you guys.
We want to make sure this guy stays up here. Wait what guy? Look at that hog fish. You gotta
explain why. People aren't gonna know. Yeah well you don't want you don't want this guy
where you want him to where you know he is so you don't stick your hand in there and have an
arm full of barbed spine. I don't know. I got one though. What do you think it is?
An eater. Some sort. I mean it's the head shaking like what is that? I'm going with fish.
Oh no. Sorry Chloe. Poor Chloe's taking the brunt of everything right now.
What is it? A trigger fish. Trigger fish. Hey am I keeping him? Oh no we'll let him go.
I'm not sticking my finger in this one's mouth. This is a good one here. Really good fish.
We're in a fish now man. Hold on Aria. No not that one Aria. It's a nice fish. How's the feeling
of a mutton snapper?
Watch your oh god you're hooked all up in there. Yep okay. Look at that y'all.
Oh and there he goes. Oh I could have gaffed him. He's gonna come up. Watch out Aria. Get the gaff.
Get the gaff. Where is it? Where is it? Where's the gaff? You know you've had a great day when
you're running back and the ocean's flat calm. Everybody's chilled out. Sarah and the girls are
asleep on the bean bags. This is what we dreamed of. Now we're gonna go back and just enjoy the
evening. They're very bony right in here. So you sort of cut on the outside and then get that knife
down just like that. You can feel that here. Do this. Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Then
you can get your bottom line. Look at that. Look at that fish. Ready to go. So we got back from
the Bahamas yesterday. We cleaned all the fish. Cleaned the boat. Got everything sorted out
and now this is one of my favorite parts. You get back. You've got some of this beautiful fish.
Fish like this. Once I get it cleaned up I wrap it in paper towel that keeps it nice and dry and
I feel like it does a really good deal for the fish. Keep your knife nice and sharp. We're going
to cut some portion sizes. Come down. As you can see it's still got the skin on. Come down and try
not to cut through the skin. You're left like that. About right there. Now remember all the way
forward and just pull the knife back. Now do another piece. Okay good. Perfect. It's really
important. So she's six. Emma's five. It's really important to let them understand a that this knife
is sharp but b what it feels like when you're actually cutting the fish. Hold that. And what
I find is that when you make them a part of the cooking process and a part of the fishing process
they want to be a part of the eating process. Hey who likes fish? Raise your hand.
Little black pepper. Now we're going to add a little original Everglades.
There you go. Just about that much. I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be for like whiskey but
we use it for olive oil. Then we're going to take some clarified butter. Put that clarified
butter in there. Now we're going to take our fish and put it seasoned side down. We want that to
sizzle just like that. You really want it hot because that's going to caramelize the outside.
It's going to lock the flavor. It's going to lock the moisture inside and you're going to have
something amazing to eat. That's exactly what you're looking for. Just that beautiful little
caramelized edges. Pretty. Now our fish is seared off on both sides. We're going to throw it in the
oven. The oven's set at about 350 degrees. That's just going to allow it to cook all the way through.
This is perfect. All the fish is done through and through. Nice crust. Perfect flavor.
Ready to go. What are you trying to be a waitress now? No. What are you doing?
All right. You didn't even know I could do that did you? You didn't even know I could carry five
at one time. What? Hi Mr. Arrington. This one's for you. Oh hi dear mom. This one's for you.
Hi dear Aria, Emma, Austin Crocker. This one's for you.
What y'all know about that? Lord thank you so much for this day. Thank you for this food.
Thank you for all this amazing fish and just a beautiful family. Lord thank you for our opportunity
to go over and have a nice vacation in the Bahamas and come home with a bunch of fresh seafood.
Please nourish it to our body and forgive us of our sins. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. Okay y'all
let's see what you think. Aria this is your fish. Emma you helped cook it. That's delicious.
Tell the camera. Do you like it? Perfect? What do you think?
That's Emma. This is Emma for really good. Austin Crocker right now is drooling on the camera
which means he's hungry. So I love you guys. Take care. God bless and we'll see you next time.
We are. No no it's my turn now. No wait I wanted to do it. Nope that was mama's turn.
