Aaron, I'm at five minutes.
I was tempted.
Good morning, Fruit Diving Family.
Today we're going to go dive a fun island called
Pamilkan Island.
Pamilkan.
Sorry, how is it pronounced? Pamilkan.
Good morning, Fruit Diving Family.
We're going to go dive Pamilkan Island.
Pamilkan Island.
It's about a 20 minute boat ride.
20 minute boat ride and then we'll be there.
We got up really early to go do this dive.
What time is it, Dane?
It's like 6 o'clock.
It's like at least 5 o'clock in the morning though.
Yeah, the sun rises really early here.
That's super weird.
It's like a blue hole.
Yeah, it must be.
Does it stink?
It stinks.
Do you think it's sulfur?
Yeah, it's sulfur.

There's a whole bunch of seagulls
just flapping around on the surface
and every time they see a whole bunch of seagulls like that
it could be a whale shark.
They tend to follow the whale sharks around.
What's the name of this island?
Pamilkan Island.
Pamilkan Island
Apparently there's a Marine Reserve over there
and um, if you go in it
you get a penalty
or you go to jail.
Which is good, no? It's good that they're taking care of things.
Oh it looks like an old Spanish ruins.
Ah no, that's actually the prison. If you swim in the sanctuary
that's where you end up.
So we've just got to
Pemilekan Island and we're gonna just dock the boat here and then just swim
off the the edge of reef there and see what it's like. Alright we're gonna head
in and we are wearing sexy wetsuits today. Makes me look like Aquaman. And that's
Dean's sexy wetsuit. We'll call him the blue bandit. Actually nicknames for Dean
and his blue wetsuit will be accepted in the comments of this video. On this side
of the island the sandy bottom turns into a reef and then that reef just
drops right down.
There were a lot of little cliffs to dive down, little cracks and crevices to
dive through. It was it was really nice. I personally like a lot of structure
when I'm diving on a reef. I feel like it just makes the dive more fun and
interesting.
I've said this before when I've been to the Philippines in the past but they're
doing some really great work with preserving the reef and every time I go
and check out one of these islands I'm always impressed with the health.
We found this cool little cave but given that I have a very healthy fear of caves
I didn't go inside. You know I've got a daughter now.
I'm on the I think the northern side of the island. Yeah the northern side of the
and the coral was really healthy and lots of fish around. Some turtles. Yeah
very fun little spot and it's pretty we're pretty much alone here too so no
one else around makes it nice. So we're off to the next place. We're going around to the
other side of the island where apparently there are schools of
barracuda and jacks. So let's see if they're there today.
So the jacks are found along this big sandy bank. We swam around for over an
hour looking for them waiting for them to find us but we didn't see any jacks.
Oh this is Dean's new bifinning style. We were having a conversation about the most
effective way to bifin and this is this is what Dean came up with.
But before we got out of the water we did spot this sea snake which was really cool.
So we didn't see any jacks but there are some apparently like a school of barracuda nearby.
The school of barracuda are also found along the sandy bank and bang we found
them pretty much straight away. But some of the divers got a little bit too
excited and they got too close to the school and they just scared the fish
away. We hung around for another 20 or 30 minutes waiting for them to come back
but they never did.
So we saw the school of barracuda but then they got bruno'd.
What happened to the school of barracuda?
Apparently I chased them away.
Twice!
Alright so we're in Pamelikan Island. We're looking for some pang-pang.
Wei, what does pang-pang mean?
Clip.
So when we were looking for the drop-off before, Wei was talking to the captain and she was like
something something something something pang-pang and I was like oh Wei what does pang-pang mean?
You know what's funny? If we're gonna go out there and find cracks in Budistay and in Bisaya
we're gonna look for bangags.
Looking for pang-pang and bangags.
We did one last little cheeky dive just playing around on the pang-pang and the bangag.
Alright and we're done. So that was fun. I mean we had pretty classic what seems to be
like the wet season here. So I think if we came back here in a few months when it's been
summer here, it would have been just like crystal clear. But the diving itself is pretty good.
Looks like the reef is nice and healthy. We found schools of fish and yeah really cool drop-offs.
Sorry really cool pang-pang.
Goodbye Pamelikan.
I had to think about how to say that.
Back home.
Oh you look very nice.
Ice first. Yeah because the water...
Professional.
It's a science.
Adam. You're in my shot.
Oh my bad.
When we were deep diving a lot we would do it every other day. I like to do it after a workout.
So just did a quick workout now today.
Adam get out of my shot.
I'm not in your shot.
You are.
I'm not looking forward to this.
A lot of freedivers use ice baths to help speed up recovery time.
It doesn't really do anything for freediving. It's just a recovery thing.
Camera 1, 2, 3 and 4 all rolling.
Alright Dean Shaush into the ice.
Oh yes.
Dean a quick word for the fans at home.
Dean Shaush just hanging out in a wheelie bin full of ice.
Good times.
What are you doing on your Friday night?
Coming up to 7 minutes now.
Dean Shaush in couch.
Dean Shaushey in the bucket.
7 minutes.
We are coming up to 10 minutes.
Dean Shaush from Great Britain.
10 minutes in the ice bin.
You've definitely beaten me and Stefan.
Without us even trying.
Oh it's cold.
You've got to tuck your knees.
How do I?
Lift your knees.
Yeah that's it.
Oh my god.
How do you start the timer?
Just focus on the breath Adam.
How do you start the timer?
Stefan you're going to rob me of my precious seconds.
Are you weird?
Aaron I'm at 5 minutes.
This is by far a PB.
You look like Oscar the Grouch.
Not Oscar the Grouch.
Who's the one in the bin?
The Cookie Monster at least in a bin.
No he doesn't.
Getting to 6 minutes now.
Paul Stefan gets yours and Dean's sludge water.
Oh I did a ween here.
You did it.
Of course not.
Right Stefan where are we at?
6 minutes.
Were you going to say you wouldn't put it past me Dean?
Oh wow.
Do you feel stronger?
Very strong.
Last.
Stefan is going.
We've got a huge crowd here.
How does it feel Stefan?
I can't talk right now.
How long are you going to go for Stefan?
10 seconds longer than Adam.
That's the goal.
So how long was that Stefan?
7.20.
Before he went in the water he didn't have abs.
Now look at him.
Thanks so much for watching guys.
