Well, start a new journey, we are here again.
So this time we're going on a weekend getaway to Paris, France.
And nothing, as always we're a little late, so we're gonna go a little running towards the airport
We have a flight at 9am, it's 7am and something.
So we have enough sleep, but well, we'll try to take advantage of sleeping in the plane
You take advantage of the day because we're only there two and a half days,
So we'll see what we can do in that time, so now we'll tell you more.
We're at the... host, have you seen the Franciscans we have back there?
Ahí, behind me, by there.
Well, we've already reached the airport.
This is the Orly airport, which is south of Paris.
And nothing, flying very quietly because we've been sleeping.
And nothing, the only thing that's a little bit of a hassle is that they've charged us the handbags,
It's something I don't like, and then the belt and so on was loose.
It was the airline Transavia, which is the low cost of Air France.
So, well, I figured it was cheap.
So now let's see if we can get the luggage and see if the suitcase arrives
And we're going to the center because we have a ratito.
Well, we've arrived here at the hotel.
This is the hotel, which is in the Marais district, which is one of the neighborhoods so a little...
They're getting popular lately.
And nothing, really, is too close to downtown and the truth is it's pretty well located.
We came by bus, which is the Orly bus or the Orly bus,
It's very good and it takes 25 minutes or so from the airport to the center.
It's seven euros and a half, as the cheapest way.
There's trains, there's also private shuttles and so on, but the bus really is going very well.
And nothing, the room is...
The room is very small, but it's okay.
It is a cama grande.
We also have a private bathroom and such, which is not so uncommon here in Paris.
The rooms are quite... to have the bathroom shared with other rooms.
So nothing, we're not gonna waste time and we're leaving ya
And take advantage of the two and a half days we're here.
So now we keep counting.
Well, we've already started the tourism and we have here the first point we visited,
That's the Plaza de la Bastille, that's a bronze-green column
with a statue of a Liberty carved above it all.
And well, this Plaza de la Bastille has an important historical significance.
This is where the prison was, the prison of the Bastille,
which was taken in the French Revolution in 1789,
When they overthrow a los reyes, a Luis XVI.
Well, they took the prison of La Bastille with weapons they took in the Palacio de los Invalidos,
It's in the center, we'll go.
Then they took what is the prison, they released all the prisoners
That's when the French Revolution began.
Then this is how it all started.
The prison is gone, it's been destroyed.
Then in its place what remains is this memorial.
And we have behind the Opera de la Bastille.
Four latas.
Well, we have arrived here now, Cerquita de la Bastille,
a la Plaza des Bocs, which is called,
It's the oldest square in all of Paris.
It's very pretty and now it's open to the public because until about 200 years ago
This was basically part of, oh sea, these houses are super expensive.
Before, here lived very rich people and it was a private part of them.
And now it's that, it's a public square that's in the Maré area and it's very popular.
We are taking advantage...
There's no wifi.
No wifi, yeah.
And we're taking advantage of what makes good time,
Because we're surrounded by clouds,
But for what we expected, it was rain,
It's a good time.
No, I don't want to be a serf.
But that's it, let's go around the square and continue downtown.
We are now in front of the Pompidou Centre,
It's a very famous museum here.
Well, more than a museum is a center of different types...
Look, look what you're doing!
I was coming towards the target.
There's more!
And now while we dodge the bubbles...
You're worse than the little children.
Because the Centre Pompidou was promoted by Georges Pompidou himself,
who was President of the Republic of France.
It was built in 1977 and has the particularity...
It has a museum of contemporary art,
Then it has a library, cinemas, a little bit of everything.
And the main particularity is the architecture of the building,
As you can see it's a building that's made upside down.
It's made from the inside out.
Everything that's pipes, the tubes through which the air ducts pass,
The ventilation, the electricity...
Everything is outside, it's the facade itself.
You get to free up space and so there's more space for what are the rooms
There is no concrete or facades.
What they do in the end is take up space.
But it's ultra contemporary.
By the way, the entrance is free if you're under 26.
If not, as is my case, you have to pay.
No, we're not going in here.
But in Paris in general, if you're under 26 years old you get free entry everywhere,
Except for the Eiffel Tower and I don't know if there's any other exceptional case more.
Everything else is free.
So you know, if you have to come to Paris, be before 26 years old.
Because then you'll have to pay for everything.
And by the way, in the center Pompidou can climb a la roof
It has views that are pretty cool of the city.
It's not a very high place because it's a sixth floor more or less.
But it has a good view.
So you know, if you come in you can climb up to the roof.
Well, right here next to the Pompidou center, we have it there,
We have here a rare source.
Very curious sculptures, here there is like a skull.
Here I don't know, there's like a snake, there's different figures.
Then it was called the source of Igor Stravinsky.
It's next to the church of Saint Marie.
In the Hôtel de Ville, which is basically the town hall,
We have him here.
It's a town hall in a neorevival style, I think, right?
It has pint.
You were destroyed, you were destroyed.
It's all lies, I know.
It was destroyed in the 19th century and when it was rebuilt,
Because it was rebuilt in that style.
It's right here in front of the carousel.
And it's decorated with I don't know how many, 70 or so.
There are 70 sculptures of famous Parisians.
Do you see how they are on the facade?
Seven, there are numbers...
Coulomb, Wood, Harley... I was just...
I don't know anybody, but good.
I suppose here in Paris you will meet them.
But the truth is that it's very pretty, it's very pretty.
The river Sena, the princess warrior.
You are laughing, admit it.
We have here on the other side the Ile de la Cité,
That's the island of the city where the Notre Dame Cathedral is.
And what good, we'll go see tomorrow for sure.
Yeah, because now it's gonna be a lot of people.
So that's an island that's in the middle of the river,
Between the area we're in and the downtown area.
And now what we're gonna do is run the river by the river
A lo que son todos los Campos Elíseos and the rest of the world
Until we reach the Arc de Triomphe.
Once we got there, we'd turn around and explain.
But now we're going to tour the Champs Elysees,
One of the most famous parts of all Paris.
We are here in the Puente de las Artes,
It's a very famous bridge in Paris.
Because that's where they put the locks until now.
There were so many candados, it was full of candados.
I'll put a picture so you can see more or less
The amount of candados that there were
The last time I was in Paris, it was a couple of years ago.
And the curious thing is that there were many complaints from the town hall
Because it wasn't good for the bridge,
Because it gave him a lot of weight,
Then he would become very fragile.
It was unstable, so they had to leave every month.
And that's why they were leaving because every month they were full again.
It's on top of that people put them and then they throw the key.
O sea, a little the ritual was to put el candado,
So you don't know each other, because there are a few of them here.
Then people put on the lock, then parejitas and so on,
Put a candado, ask a wish, put something in the candado
My love for ever and ever,
You're going to take the key to the diner.
Then people thought that if the locks stayed here forever,
The city council pays them every month.
But there was such a large amount of candados
That at the end of the day what they've done, the new mayor,
What he did was put up glass.
Then what used to be everything to put locks,
As was that virgin you saw,
Because now I'm all glass that can't be put on.
They can put muy poquitas,
The following shall be added to the list of products:
So they put the first lock and then everyone takes advantage of it.
O sea, one puts a big lock and the rest take advantage.
And there goes Miguel and I don't know how much.
Well then, see that there's no way.
O sea, you can put it, but very little.
Is it raining again?
Yeah, now that it's not raining,
So we'll go a little bit to rats, see if we can hold out a little bit,
We'll continue with the walk.
Here we are, we're right next to the Louvre Museum,
What we have here.
This is the building that houses the museum.
There we see the cartel.
Then this is the Louvre Museum,
We'll sell it tomorrow or the day after, when we have time.
And the most well-known part of the museum,
That's the entrance, that's the crystal pyramid,
It's inside this enclosure.
So we'll see when we get here tomorrow or so.
But what is the whole museum, what is it giant,
It's this way.
Well, as the original bridge of the candados was not available,
I see that people have moved to this bridge that's close by,
That's right, he has a fence.
They've put up a Mogollón de Candados.
This has a lot of things.
It wasn't what I had on the other, it was full.
O sea, you had to seek much to find a hole,
But the truth is that there is a Mogollon.
I'm from downtown, right?
There's more in the center.
This is the most famous bridge in all of Paris.
You are the bridge Alejandro III.
El puente también is muy conocido, the bridge is also very well known.
Because there usually come the newlyweds
to take the wedding photos,
The girlfriend with the boyfriend.
If you're going to do this bridge,
Because it's the most beautiful you've got here.
Very nice views of the Eiffel Tower.
From here you don't see much, you see, but you're very small.
But in person...
Yeah, it's like more blurry.
But also in camera it looks smaller,
The sea, in person, has become quite larger.
And it's right here,
the Palace of the Invalids,
That's where Napoleon is buried.
Y los jardines, que son muy grandes, and the gardens are very large.
It's usually a very famous area.
to make protests
and manifestations,
Suelen will be in that area.
So, it's a very pretty area.
Y está just next to it
the area of the Campos Elíseos,
We're going in now.
Now we are in the Plaza de la Concordia,
What is known,
The sea, it's a round,
It's a very large plaza.
I'm going to use the rotunda.
And you have, the most famous is,
No is la Noria,
Because I didn't know Noria was coming,
I don't know if it's seasonal or fixed,
But it's known for this obelisk.
This obelisk is 3,300 years old.
It was a gift from Egypt.
A Paris in 1830.
And it was a gift for what?
Well, because this is the plaza
from the 18th century,
of 1755,
When it was built
He called.
the Plaza de Luis XV,
He was the king that was crowned at that moment.
But afterwards
Louis XVI wine
You...
Yes, after you were Louis XVI.
and they lived in the Palace of Versailles,
We can't go on this trip,
But good, in the future we will.
And with Louis XVI,
1789, as he commented before
in the Toma de la Bastilla,
The French Revolution began.
Then,
The choice of Louis XVI
Y a su mujer, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia, y a toda la familia,
And the guillotined in this square.
This is the Plaza de la Concordia.
Louis XVI was the first to
the guillotine,
And then, months later, a woman.
Yes in 1793.
Also, if you like.
The cycling, the last stage
the Tour de France,
What's going on in Paris?
The cyclists are back here.
And the turn
Al Monolito y luego sigue
The Campos Elíseos.
