Crypto has been a huge part of my journey in being able to travel continuously. Get started here: This is the first video from the Costa Rica series, where we spent a few days sleeping in the La Tigra rainforest.

Travel has changed my life and I have no plans on stopping any time soon. That's why I am now running this video blog showing you how I travel the world continuously.
if you made it this far then let me know in the comments below!
So this is cool. These little guys are everywhere.
Okay, what do you think lives in there? Maybe a snake?
I don't know, it's twerking. Maybe this guy's twerking or what.
Good morning. Welcome back to Costa Rica and welcome to La Tigra Rainforest Lodge.
We are right out in the rainforest right now, staying here for two nights.
And we got here last night actually, and so far it's been really cool.
We stayed in this little cabin right in the woods and there's also these massive trails
around the property where we're going to go out walking today and hopefully see
some wildlife as well. Check this out.
This is our own private balcony. As you can see, the only thing we can see
is jungle and we're right in the thick of it.
This is really cool because sleeping here at night, we slept here last night,
and all you can hear is the rainforest sounds, the cicadas, the rain as well, it being a rainforest.
And you just get that perfect feeling of being in the middle of the jungle.
Mosquito net, an absolute necessity last night.
And then this view. This is our own little ensuite with...
Rainforest shower. Yeah.
This is also absolute necessity so far. And that.
So this is the little breakfast, lunch, and dinner area.
There's only eight cabins here, I think, so it's not a massive area because this is way
out on its own. You're literally like, you feel like you're the only people on the hill.
Once you're here, you pretty much have all the meals here because it is a bit of a trek to get
But one of the cool things is that most of their food is either made here or locally sourced.
So we've already had dinner and breakfast this morning,
and half of it is made in their little permaculture area.
So all of this is part of their permaculture farm.
I see some little chilies down here. That's cool.
What are these? Are these coffee beans, I think?
That's actually been one of the cool things about Costa Rica so far,
is that a lot of it is sustainable, locally sourced, fair trade, organic.
I think everything has to be organic now that's produced in Costa Rica.
And the whole country is just trying to go in that direction.
Even people are paid, farmers were paid about 30 years ago
to protect their land and turn it into more of a reserve rather than farming on it.
And some people that did that are now making more money
just by keeping it as a natural reserve than they would be if they were farming.
I think that's a really cool idea.
And they also do cooking classes here, but not right now.
Good for you though.
Okay, should we go on a hike?
Yeah.
So this is cool. These little guys are everywhere.
They're so colorful.
Got a little pool area, which is cool.
But for me, I'm mainly here for the wildlife.
So we're going to hit the trails and see what we can find.
We've only been here about 12 hours so far.
And we've already seen loads of tree frogs,
loads of other little red frogs, loads of other little brown frogs.
I don't know, that's their Latin name, by the way.
And you can also see monkeys and sloths and stuff, but we haven't seen them yet.
And lots of hummingbirds, actually.
I haven't managed to get them on camera yet because they're really fast.
But there's loads of hummingbirds in Costa Rica.
All right, there's a bunch of different trails here.
We're going to start with the Calibri trail.
What have you found, Lassie?
A water monkey.
Okay, what do you think lives in there?
Maybe a snake?
Look at that.
It's some stock footage of Costa Rica to show you what's actually here.
This is cool.
This is the end of the trail and we've got a little waterfall.
A Pequena Catata, I think.
I need to learn some more Spanish.
Okay, this is the first tricky bit.
All right, I do not feel like my cheap trainers are made for this.
Ah, it's not too bad.
Well, it says before getting off the end.
I just love that sound.
It's the cicadas.
I'll be quiet so you can hear.
I was waiting.
Ladies.
Ah, so we just finished the hike and there is our cabin.
This is the life.
Pura Vida.
All right, we've just chilled here for the last few hours.
Just reading and listening to the sounds around us.
But now the sun is about to set.
So I'm going to try and find some of the tree frogs that only come out at night.
Look, one's out already.
Can you see him?
Right in the middle there.
There he is.
Hey, buddy.
Yeah, it's cool.
So an interesting thing I learned is this is how they sleep during the day.
They sleep underneath a leaf and then they come out at night
and then come on to the top of their leaves as well.
Really cool.
I love the colours.
Look at that, now he's twerking.
Maybe this guy's twerking a lot.
They also do night tours here so we can go out into the jungle and search for things at night.
So we're going to do that in a minute.
Tiny frog.
Don't you know, like most of the animals or the specific frogs,
if they're poisonous, they have bright colours.
Like red, yellow, blue.
Oh, they have special mouths.
Natural sandpapers.
Oh, yeah.
Wow.
That way?
Yeah, yeah, you can feel it.
It's really, I feel it.
Long time ago, they used it a lot for meat crafts,
chicas for the nails, right?
This is a Cecropia tree.
The favourite tree for the sloths and howler monkeys.
They love to eat this tree.
Whenever I found these trees around here, I see a sloth always around.
This one is not venomous,
but they like to use the colours to keep predators away.
They use it like this.
It's the favourite plant for frogs, for hummingbirds and snakes.
The eyelash pit viper, for example, love this plant because they camouflage really well.
They're yellow colour.
Wow, look at this guy.
Okay, so most of this is made from the permaculture farm.
All the ingredients are locally sourced and it looks pretty tasty.
Yeah, it's good, but it needs a secret ingredient.
The Costa Rican salsa sauce that is everywhere.
I love it.
All right, we are packed up and ready to go.
Yeah, finishing off with that night tour last night was a great way to do it
because we could see a lot of things I don't think we would have done normally.
So having a guide that can show you around like that,
I think sometimes is really useful.
We're about to leave now and head towards La Fortuna and that will be the next video.
For now, thank you to La Tigre Rainforest Lodge.
Thank you guys for watching and see you in the next video.
Pura Vida!
