Learn how to travel continuously → https://www.travelcontinuously.com/ Isla Holbox is one of the most beautiful places of Mexico that I've been to so far. Here is what you can do in three days on Holbox Island. If you're going to visit Quintana Roo in 2020, then make sure to add Holbox to your list!

Travel has changed my life and I have no plans on stopping any time soon. That's why I am now running this video blog showing you how I travel the world continuously.
if you made it this far then let me know in the comments below!
If we're lucky, I'm going to get to show you something that I've never seen before.
Good morning and welcome back to Mexico. We are just about to get the ferry across
to Holbox. We drove here from Playa del Carmen. It was about a two-hour drive
and now we parked up for 50 pesos per day and then we're going to jump on the ferry
until Holbox for the next two days. Let's do it.
We just got a ticket for the fast ferry for 150 pesos each to get across to Holbox.
There were some other guys that said they would take us a taxi across for the same price
then when we spoke to them it was actually 200 each so we're just going to get the fast
ferry over. The next one's in like 15 minutes anyway so there's no rush but yeah it seems
like most port places there's a little bit of the wild west of like people trying to pull
you in to get you to go on their boat but that's the that's the public fast ferry and
it's not far. I think it's like a 30 minute journey for 150 pesos.
Yeah it's better now.
Okay from here we get one of these taxis.
So Holbox seems to have a very chilled vibe. There's no cars allowed other than a few little
service vehicles and most people were either going around by bike or by these little golf
cart things. It's kind of the same sort of size as Gili Turangan for those of you that have been
there in Indonesia and it really feels kind of similar. We actually have now been here for a day
because it was my 30th birthday yesterday so i didn't film and we just went out last night.
Now we're actually going to enjoy the rest of the island besides just downing a cocktail
full of jack daniels and tequila from a bull's horn. Let's go to the beach.
Um it seemed like it rained here recently. Yeah much easier just take them off.
Lobster! Looks good. Wow okay we came to the beach and that's our nachos.
This is nachos arachera which is flank steak nachos and that was like 15 dollars. Look at the
size of it. And it's gone. But she did a pretty good job.
So the main thing to do on Holbox is this three island tour. We're about to go on it right now.
It costs 500 pesos about 25 dollars each and there's actually four points so we're going to
go to four different points and hopefully see some cool things. If we're lucky i'm going to
get to show you something that i've never seen before. So we've actually been here for three
days already and i think we chose the best day to do this because the sky is clear, the water
looks beautiful and for the last two days it's been a little bit stormy but today looks perfect.
One of the cool things about this island is you have the pink flamingos just naturally here
so that if you can see them they're right here. I'm going to zoom in with the other camera
that's really cool they're just hanging out being flamingos.
Not bad eh?
The next stop pelicans, flamingos, some of the birds and we can see them from here.
So the next stop you have to pay 50 pesos to get in. It's like a national park fee and there's also
a cenote here and you can eat as well. I don't think we're going to eat because that'll take up
all our time we've only got about 45 minutes here but we're going to check out the cenote
see what this little park has to offer. This is the cenote, it's apparently the biggest
collection of pristine water in all of Quintana Roo but it's also quite busy so we're going to
go for a swim but if you come here expecting like a really secluded cenote it's not that.
It's like a big swimming pool. Yeah cenotes are usually quite brash.
The water is really nice like it's really fresh almost like I mean it's really cold.
Oh there's crabs as well, I saw a little crab while I was filming.
So there's crabs, there's crocodiles but luckily not in this one.
And we are back on land. Yeah it was a really cool day trip. It's definitely the thing you
have to do when you come here to see the flamingos and get out and do some just swimming
and seeing different parts of the island. Really cool. It looks like tonight we're gonna get a nice
sunset so I'm gonna grab some lunch because we're starving and cut forward to that. Okay
lobster is the thing on this island so I've come for a lobster brioche. Good? All good?
So one of the main things is the lobster pizza and I had that a couple nights ago
and it was really really good but the thing about Holbox is everywhere does lobster. So for today
I went for lobster brioche. Okay this seems like the perfect place to see this out and have the
last night in Holbox. This is kind of a sunset point by the looks of it. There's a little bar
I think it is and yeah I'm gonna leave it there. Thank you for watching. Holbox has been incredible.
I'll definitely come back here. I would definitely recommend coming here
for now. Thank you for watching and see you in the next one.
