Travel has changed my life and I have no plans on stopping any time soon. That's why I am now running this video blog showing you how I travel the world continuously.
This is the Harrow Wine Battle.
Every year thousands of people flock to this region to throw wine at each other on the
side of a mountain.
As soon as I found out this festival existed, I had to go.
We have arrived to the Harrow Wine Festival and we're basically in the middle of nowhere.
Just got off the bus, we're in the vineyards here, and I'm about to get covered in wine.
So I'm pretty clean right now, you guys aren't.
That's about to be me anyway.
You got a call!
Ready as you get!
Get it going!
Woo!
Not yet.
Okay, so we're on the way to it right now.
We're all in white, kind of, because I'm getting sprayed as I go.
But everyone walking back, like these guys, is already purple.
Gracias.
Okay, we are completely in the middle of nowhere.
Hey, que tiras tequila, chaval!
With wine dripping down the roads, everyone is completely purple.
I'm like, we're white now, so we are the targets.
We're like, there is no one that's coming back down that isn't completely purple.
Paso están Ramón, paso están Ramón.
I'm good.
These goggles were such a great idea.
You're starting to get into it.
I've already been soaked multiple times because I was too white.
Woah, woah, woah!
Woah!
I think he's a bit happy.
A bit happy!
Everyone brings up their own kind of wine like this, and then you just soak yourself
in it all.
I mean, it's not particularly complicated, really.
You basically bring wine and throw wine.
Yeah, I'm going to follow you through that.
Okay, welcome to Harajuku.
I'm going in, I'm going in.
Follow me, follow me, I'm going in.
I had a leaf blower full of wine.
And not get covered in wine, man.
A bit of an intersection now, so there's no way of getting away from it.
Look at this, I've shown you like the countryside so far.
A bunch of purple Smurfs partying together.
Every single part of it is just to get themselves...
Completely mental for like two hours while you're up here, but now we need to get off
the mountain.
How was it?
Crazy!
Two hours to get out of here, and then get absolutely soaked by water.
So we have to basically get down and get back to reality.
That's it!
You just come here, get covered in wine, and then go back.
Look at this, this is like red wine running down the streets.
Okay, we're back at Kaminawa.
It's loud, but I hope you can hear me.
I'm here with Stoke Travel, and this whole thing's been insane.
But one of the cool things about this whole festival is this campsite as well.
The wine this morning was completely mental, but having this for a few days and getting
to meet all these people is equally as awesome.
This whole festival was incredible.
It was unique, and it's an experience I'll never forget.
And one thing that made it extra special was the Stoke Travel campsite.
Live music, drinking unlimited beer in Sangria while meeting people from all over the world,
and sharing it with my mum, who was included the whole time, made it that much better.
If you want to come along next year, then check out the link in the description, and
maybe I'll see you there.
Yeah, pretty awesome, yeah.
Amazing.
I can't believe that everybody goes out and just pours wine all over each other for no
particular reason.
Very weird.
It was actually, so like, it was a lot better than I expected, to be honest.
The wine part of it was obviously mental, and that was completely crazy, and that's
the main reason we came here.
But then having this whole crew and this whole group of people and this campsite has also
been great.
Some great people, and me being here with my son has been really welcoming, and they've
been fantastic, and I've joined in with everything, and it's my first festival, guys, so I've
had just great fun.
Okay, so I'm going to leave the camera here.
We're about to go into town, and that's where kind of the night continues after the
madness of earlier.
They have a big square in town where there's a stage, and people carry on drinking until
like five or six in the morning, and that's just kind of the way it is.
I'm going to put this down, and yeah.
Weird, but amazing.
Thanks for watching.
See you in the next video.
