SURPRISING MY MUM WITH LUXURY VILLA in INDONESIA

I just brought you here because we're staying here for the next two nights. No! Yeah. Hey guys, I'm in Gili Air right now and I'm here with my mum and I'm just about to surprise her with something. We did have this guest house which is kind of budget but I've just managed to sort out a really nice villa for her to stay in. She has no idea we're going there. I'm just taking her to the beach and then we're going to go in and I'm going to surprise her with this luxury stay at a villa. How are you liking Gili Air so far? I love it. So chilled. Yeah, just the best exploring. Yeah, I'm now going to head to the beach. Okay, I've just settled my mum in the front here. These are the beds. I just said let's just stop for a drink. She doesn't know that I'm now going to check in. No, it's good. She's at the front. Yeah, so I'm checking in now and then I'm going to go and show her in a sec. That's great, perfect. This is my mum's welcome drink. This is for you. Oh wow, what is that? It's your welcome drink. Come on, come on, follow me. My welcome drink? You just asked me if I wanted tea. I said I don't know where my son is. Well, you can leave stuff here anyway. Leave my drink there? Yeah, if you want to. We're going in here. I'll follow you. Well, I need to lead the way. So we are going straight this way. I just brought you here because we're staying here for the next two nights. No. Yeah. We're coming out of our room? Yeah. And coming here? Yeah. God, it's all by the sea and the bed and everything. So follow this way. So this is our villa. It's humbling. Look at this. Oh wow, cool. We have to go through a trap door. Oh, that's cool. We have our own little area at the top with hammocks. Two hammocks to chill. And yeah, we got the whole villa. This is cool. This place is called Sunrise Gilead. And yeah, I got the opportunity to surprise my mum with it. And I'm surprised. It's the best surprise. A feather lamp. I mean, come on. This is pure luxury. Whoever's got a feather lamp, come on. Who would you surprise me? I'm just, I'm amazed. Look at this. A shower outside. Toiletries and a paddle. And a bath. It's a bath. It's going to be a bath. You're better at this than me. Oh my god. I'm so happy and very surprised. I know. I hope you're happy. Look, I'm drunk. No, I'm fine. Very happy. Thank you. So this is our first sunset here. And we're going to sort of just chill for tonight. And then I think the whole of tomorrow, we're going to have a complete relax at this place, but also around the island. So I'm going to show you that. But right now, we're just going to go grab a drink for sunset. Cocktails at sunset. Enjoy. Going in here then. All right, cheers. Cheers. Good morning. So excited about this breakfast. Scrambled eggs and toast, cappuccino, and a smoothie bowl. Smoothie bowl on the way. Yeah, smoothie bowl on the way. You ready for a day of exploring Gilead? Oh, yeah. Wow. Oh, look at that. Wow. How are you doing? Amazing. This is what I've been dreaming about. I've been dreaming about my smoothie bowl. Okay, back on the bikes. By the way, if you're in Gilead, you have bikes to get around. The roads aren't perfect, and I'll show you that in a minute because there's lots of sand on there. You kind of have to walk around half of it and bike the other half. But I'll show you. Okay, after you. So this is what I mean. You can cycle on some, but not everywhere. Yeah, I'd say about half the island is bicycle friendly. And you can cut through the middle, which is what we just did. But parts of it where you walk along the beach is all just sandy, so you have to walk along instead. We're just trying to find a little beach bar now. Very cool. Yeah, this is nice. So we have two hammocks and two beanbags, and you've got the whole floor up here to chill. It does get pretty hot during the day in Gilead, especially when the clouds go away. So this is quite a good little spot just to chill and grab a coffee for a bit. Pretty chilled. Oh my god, I've heard it's nice. Yeah, it looks nice, huh? Yeah, it's lovely. Yes, please. Thank you very much. Happy with it? So this place came up on the top 10 in TripAdvisor, and it's got loads and loads of good reviews, so I wanted to check it out. It's called Pachamama. I'm also still training for the marathon I'm doing next month, and it's only a month away now. I just did 20k before this, so I really want to eat some healthy, lean food, and this came up as a good option. Good? Thank you. We just ordered with some live music, and the music stopped, and now the rain's coming down. Such is life in rainy season. So we're going inside. Okay, cheers. Ready to leave? I don't want to go. I want to take this cushion. It's kind of like my t-shirts. It is like your t-shirts. The whole pineapple thing, I love it. I don't want to leave this bed. I don't want to leave this lamp. I don't want to leave. You love that lamp. I love that lamp. I love lamp. Yeah. Unfortunately, it is time for us to go. We are checking out of Sunrise Gili, and heading back to Canggu. Good surprise? You're happy with it? The most amazing surprise, and I don't want to leave. I love it so much. Let's stay. And wait, we'll do this in a sec. Right, so first impressions of Gili Islands and Gili Tea. Oh, Gili Air. Because you went to Gili Tea first, we were there for a day, and then came to Gili Air. Right. I guess if I'm going to compare it, then Gili Tea is a real party island, and I loved it for one night, but Gili Air is the most amazingly chilled, beautiful island you could want to spend a few days on. I think it has everything. I think it's good for young people, for people my age, older people, and yeah, it's got a real nice vibe. A few nice restaurants, a bit of live music. Yeah, it was cool. We saw live music last night, even like with the rain, but it was still good. Yeah, and the food's been amazing. I mean, all through, you know, both Gili Islands, but particularly this island, the food was amazing. Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it, because I've done Gili Tea a lot of times, and I think if you're going for a party, that's the place, or if you're going on your own and you want to meet people in a hostel, that's probably the place, but I think to bring you to an island and have like a complete chill area while also having the option of good food and nice nightlife, I think this was it, right? Yeah, without a doubt. I think you've got the balance here because you've got the sun and the sand and the beautiful island in the day, and at night time, well, we went to two restaurants, and both of them were amazing. I mean, the food was fantastic, and yeah, really more than I thought. Yeah, and I've also done Gili Meno. I did another video, Gili Chuangan versus Gili Meno, and I'd say like Gili Meno is the least busy, like the most, well, the most like untouristy. Does that make sense? Like the least people were there, and then Gili Air and then Gili Tea. So make your mind up about that. We love Gili Tea. We do like Gili Tea, but we love Gili Air, yes. So make your mind up about that. We love Gili Air, and yeah, thank you to Sunrise Gili Air for having us. We're going to head back to Chengdu now, get on the boat, and I hope you like the surprise.
