About Fung Bros: David and Andrew Fung are fascinated by hip-hop, comedy, and food. They love making funny rap songs, trying new food, and making people laugh. Welcome to the official Fung Bros Channel!
What's going on everybody? Andrew from The Fung Bros here. It is good to be back in New York City
with my brother David. This time we're doing things a little bit differently. We've got a
little bit of a new mindset. So in this video today I'm going to be telling you about eight
different tech items that we started using around New York City. Some of them have to do with
transportation, communication, even office use. I found these things to be very very useful and
hopefully you guys find this video to be helpful too. Let's check it out.
So number one let's talk about transportation. City bike is something that I never thought I
would use. It's this really cool bike rental system where there's bike stations set up all
around the city. There's tons of them and you just sign up for a subscription. You put your
key fob in and you can pull out a bike ride it around the city and then drop it off at one of
those stations. Yo I know people who take these to work every day and I even know tourists who sign
up for a short-term subscription and just use it to kind of tour around the city. All right so
without further ado let's ride around the city. Have you guys ever used city bike or anything
like that? There's no city bike in Hawaii. There are. What? There are. They have them in like in
I used the same thing with my girlfriend the other week and I'm actually very interested in
using it. It gets you a workout like while you're going to different places. I'm afraid I'm gonna
get hit by a car. How does it work? Okay so you get a membership and then you have this little key
fob and then you stick it in and then it unlocks the bike and then you just have to drop it off
at one of the many locations around the city. That's actually super convenient. It's nice to
have something that you could borrow. Bikes get stolen a lot. I've seen people who like just have
their seats stolen so you know city bikes useful in that way. Honestly I thought riding a city bike
at first was kind of corny but it does let you engage with the city in a whole new way and of
course there are concerns about safety but just ride slow watch where you're going and you'll be
fine. It makes your life a lot more interesting and gets your heart pumping. Oh yeah no one uses
these during the rainy and snowy days either. Maybe later. All right see you. And now the second item
that we just started using when we got to New York that's really cool is actually this new Nebula
Capsule Mini Projector. It's a wireless portable projector that hooks up to your phone or your
computer. You can just set it up anywhere and it'll project a really high quality image onto
the wall. Man it's got great apps. You can watch YouTube, Netflix, pretty much do anything on it.
It can mirror your computer or phone. I'm right outside of 10 Below slash Sneaky Tavern. It's a
combination of a sneaker store and a Tyrold ice cream spot. Let's go inside and check it out.
Oh this also doubles as a Bluetooth speaker. It's pretty loud. Have you ever seen these little mini
projectors that are portable? Would you ever use something like that? Those are pretty damn cool.
Yeah I would try one of those. I put it in my bathroom actually. My friend Raj has it actually
and we use it for all the Bollywood movies. Like every Bollywood movie. Honestly I would use it to
play video games. Yeah just post up with Netflix anywhere you go for sure. This is a pretty cool
device and can definitely add a totally different vibe to anywhere you bring it. Pop up and watch
movies, YouTube, highlights or just something to play on the wall for ambiance reasons.
Just make sure the Wi-Fi is solid though. Yo and another tech item that we started using when we
got to New York were actually Bluetooth wireless headphones. Particularly the AirPods and the
Google Pixel Buds. They are super useful actually. I've used them to really just like listen to music
I run a lot and I bike. I definitely use wireless when I work out. Sometimes if you're not careful
you can lose them but I make sure to keep track of them. Wires just get in the way. AirPods and
Pixel Buds are considered some of the best on the market right now and after using both I can tell
you that the AirPods block out noise better and they're completely wireless which is dope. The
Pixel Buds have great sound quality. Google Assistant being built in is cool. If you have
the Pixel phone then you get that real life translating thing which only works okay. Overall
they feel more secure in my ear. For sports and activity I'd recommend the Pixel Buds because I
don't have the fear of dropping them in a straight vent but the AirPods are dope. And nothing is
being better than hands-free. I actually realize it's definitely helped me in my life to even talk
to people more often. Yo yeah I'm headed back to the office right now. I got the coffees.
Yeah they're hot. Really hot. Alright everybody let's take it back home for a second. You know
city life can get pretty crazy and sometimes you just want to come back to your small New York
apartment and just relax and get a massage. So one of the coolest but most random things that
we got recently that I've never owned before was a massage chair. This one is a compact
Senka massage chair. Some of my favorite features about this is actually the design where it kind
of dips you back so you kind of lock into the chair and you get a massage that way. It also
massages your butt too which is also pretty funny. Alright if you guys had a massage chair at home
when would you use it? I would use it if it was cheap. Massage chairs and all that stuff are
pretty lit. Yeah I would use it all the time. I actually have one in my dorm room. You have a
massage chair? Yeah. Which one is it? I don't know it's really old. I think I would use that every
single day. I would definitely use it. Every time I'm like at a mall or something I'm like all over
it. I mean it's a little bougie but I think I'd use it. How do you imagine using it? Probably
while I study. Same. I think like during TV time. I would do it when I'm more relaxed. Having a
massage chair in the apartment has been a game changer. I know it just seems so extra to have
that but I'm telling you it's lit. It's super lightweight and it's just comfortable to sit in
as just a chair. If you're looking for a compact massage chair that looks good and gets the job
done and isn't gigantic this is the one. Alright so another really cool at-home gadget that we just
started using was the wireless charger here. Now they've had wireless chargers for years. They've
never been this easy. This is the Qi wireless charging dock. So iPhone 8 and up, Samsung Galaxy
Note, Samsung Galaxy S8, they can all wireless charge. No plug-in required. I cannot tell you
how cool this is actually where I don't have to plug anything in. I like everything about this
wireless charger. It's fast. It looks like I'm in the future. People always see it and say oh wow
let me charge my phone on that. Except the one thing I don't like is that it's not really
convenient to use your phone while it's docked on the charger. Okay coming up next we have this
WeWoo one pack backpack. It's not just your average backpack. It actually has 19 pockets.
It's water resistant. It almost opens up like carry-on luggage. This backpack as of filming
this video has not even been released yet. It's still in Kickstarter mode. I mean they have so
many compartments. And of course the laptop sleeve. It has multiple laptop sleeves. One for
your actual laptop, one for your tablet. Alright one of the coolest features of this backpack that
I like personally is that it has a USB plug and a 3.5 millimeter jack plug on the side of it. So
what you can do is actually zip in an external battery pack into the USB plug and then on the
outside you can have a cord that runs so that you can charge your phone without having the
external battery pack dangling everywhere. Or if you want to charge someone else's phone you don't
have to give them your actual external battery pack. They can just plug straight into your
backpack. Another cool feature is this back strap here that goes around the handles of your spinning
luggage so that your backpack can fit on top securely. After using this backpack for just a
few days I really overall like the design. It can fit a ton of stuff. It's got a lot of pockets.
It just looks so 2018. I would say the backpack does fit a lot better when you have a thick
jacket on so keep that in mind. The WeWu OnePack. Let's go. Alright everybody another thing we
started doing in New York was switching up the camera equipment. Now in the past we used Canon
Mark 3s, Sony a7s, Sony a6500, even a C100. But now we've switched to the Panasonic Lumix GH5.
I'm not doing a video about the camera itself but what I do want to talk about is this SmallFocus HD
LCD right here. To be honest I'm not the best at explaining it but my friend Ted inside of
Avocado Appetite is going to tell you more. SmallFocus HD is an awesome tool to partner with
your mirrorless camera or DSLR. What it does is with like these little cameras with the small
LCD it's really hard to see where your focus is at. So with a tool like this you got your focus
peaking which is basically it highlights the part of the frame that is in focus. So when you're
shooting with that really shallow depth of field get that really nice out of focus in the background
you want to make sure your subject is in focus and with the peaking it highlights in blue
the part that's in focus and you get all of your accessories and you got the HDMI plugin in here.
This is the perfect setup for what we're doing here. Yo Ted do you want to go film a short film
right now? I got an idea. Here's the premise. Young guy just opened up an avocado spot in the
Lower East Side. Let's do it. They said I couldn't do it. They said I'd never make it but I made it.
Okay so unless you're a filmmaker you really don't need this because it is kind of pricey
but I'm just glad we have it because it makes nailing the focus way easier no matter who's
picking up the camera. Plus it just makes you look like a pro. The fact that you can mount the
microphone on the side is dope too. Alright so the last thing I want to tell you guys about
is this laptop riser. Now the reason why laptop risers are really important nowadays is because
actually I was talking to my chiropractor once and he was telling me about how there's a lot of
young people that come in with bad posture due to being on their phone and crunching down and
bending their backs to look at their laptops. So that's actually an issue nowadays amongst even
like millennials and people like my age. And actually in a previous Phone Grows Tech a long
time ago we had talked about a laptop riser but it was a single metal piece that was not
adjustable. So what we have right now is a desktop riser that has an adjustable height
and these legs right here even though it kind of looks like one of those like Star Wars
walker type machines they can actually extend up really high so that you can even use it while
you're standing or you can put it on a desk much lower than this and still be able to stand up
straight and use it so it's not messing with your posture at all. There's this little place for your
mouse it even has fans in the back where if you plug it into a power source the fans will blow
cool air onto your computer keeping it cooler. Have you guys thought about getting something like
a laptop riser that can stand up so that you guys are not like crunched over your laptop? My doctor
told me I should get something like that. Like I like sit on my bed for like long periods of time
with my laptop and I'll realize that like my neck and my back is like and it's just like not good
at all yeah. I've had back problems a little bit and like wrist problems too. I think you need one.
If I want to move quickly then like I don't really need it. When I'm using my laptop I really do
scrunch over and like it really hurts my back every once in a while. This has honestly helped my posture
and productivity a lot plus my wrists feel a lot better. It's adjustable so you can get that perfect
angle and height that you need so definitely look into an adjustable laptop riser if you get the
chance. I don't want to sound like another nagging mom but yo you do not want to be another hunchback
millennial. Laptop riser fix your posture get more work done. Alright everybody that wraps up that
episode of Fungro's Tech. Man thank you so much for watching that video. I want to give a big
shout out to Synca for sending us the massage chair and I want to give a big shout out to
WeWoo for sending us the backpack that's not even out yet. I hope you guys found that video useful.
I know that they weren't all the cheapest gadgets that we've ever reviewed but I will tell you that
they were all honestly very useful and I use all of them in my daily life today. In the comments
below let me know if you guys want us to continue a series like this and we've done Fungro's Tech
in the past but we're kind of bringing it back so let me know how it went in this video and big
shout out to everybody in the lower east side that ended up in this video. I'm in New York and until
next time I'm out peace. Okay Google can you put on some soft sleep music?
