Firstly, my Dad came to join us in the Philippines!! He flew out from the UK and now we get to show him around this amazing country. Our first stop was Oslob Cebu and it was an incredible first 24 hours - whale sharks, Tumalog falls, epic feasts, baby shark feeding and awesome hospitality. What a start to Cebu!
Travel has changed my life and I have no plans on stopping any time soon. That's why I am now running this video blog showing you how to travel the world continuously.
What?
How are you doing?
Stuffed, I only mean right now.
Heavy landing.
Good morning again and welcome back to Cebu.
We are, I arrived here late last night but we're leaving straight away this morning.
My dad has just arrived to the Philippines.
He's right here.
Hi, hi.
We are heading out of Cebu this morning, straight down to Blue Water Cimelon in Oslo.
I'm going to show you that in a bit but we've got a three-hour drive to get there.
Yes sir.
Maybe I can get you to say hi.
Hi.
Hello.
I've wanted to do this for 20 years so now's my chance.
Wow, so we were just driving and we've had to stop because a truck has fallen sideways
in the middle of the road.
They're trying to lift it up with another truck and get it back up standing.
Wait, I'll show you.
Look at this, the truck is actually fully sideways.
It's hooked up to this dump truck to try and pull it up.
This is the first time I've ever seen this by the way.
This isn't a normal thing.
I don't know how it flipped over but they're trying to do something about it.
Crazy, right?
You see what they're doing?
Yeah, trying to like loop it around and just like jerk it up.
Oh, I missed it.
Wow.
Wow, they just like pulled it straight up.
I just missed the moment of the action.
They just did it too quick but that worked.
That was quick.
We just arrived to the town of Oslob and we're at the port going across to Blue Water Simulon.
We were recommended this by Anton from Our Awesome Planet.
He put us in touch with them and now we've got a chance to go check out the island for two days.
Thank you.
Afternoon.
Okay.
Oh, we need this?
Okay.
Hello, Jordan.
Hi, sir.
Hello.
Thank you.
And your lovely assistant, Mr. Jarek.
Jarek, hi.
Hi, Jordan.
Oh, you got the right hat for this anyway.
Thank you.
This is what we're doing here.
Not bad.
It's green.
It's all yours.
Mini bars included.
Thank you.
Anyone would like a drink on my veranda?
It's the first glamping experience and I've always wanted to do one.
This is amazing.
Come inside our little house.
Love it.
So this is going to be our home for the next two days.
Maybe I will want to stay here forever.
Maybe we can.
Just sell all this camera gear, get rid of it all, and we can stay here.
Oh, yeah.
We are camping here.
Is that too cheesy?
A bit.
A little bit.
It's the first proper time I've done glamping, especially with that view.
Look at this.
You just walk out from your tent and then you're in the ocean.
There's a lot to explore on this island, apparently.
We're going to go over to...
Because we only got here, it's like 5pm already.
So our tents are amazing, but we're going to just leave our stuff right now
and go to the sunset side of the island.
This island has its own sandbar pointing out into the sea.
We just came here straight away for the sunset.
Look at that.
What?
Wow.
Look at the color of this.
Look at that.
It's like a rainbow in the water.
Oh, wow.
Look at this.
It's our dinner setting.
Look at this.
It's a full Mexican tonight.
Quesadillas, chimichangas, burritos, Mexican meatballs, Mexican music.
Oh, my God.
Look at that.
We have a taco and burrito stand.
Bon appetit.
Mexican food.
It's amazing.
We've been spoiled.
Good?
It is 5.30am and we're just about to hop across the water
because we're right opposite the whale sharks.
And look at this sunset.
Oh, my God.
We had to arrange a special boat this morning and this is ours to take us early.
Morning.
Oh, that's beautiful.
Thank you.
Okay, we got here early to try and avoid some of the crowds, but it's still very busy.
Let's do this.
I'm ready.
There's this whole argument here about whether whale sharks in Oslob is ethical or not,
but I'm not going to get into that now, but I will do in another video.
But for now, I'll just say like those creatures are just awesome.
They're so gentle and giant and you can just swim next to them
and like you don't appreciate how big they are until you're there.
Really cool.
We've come to Tumalog Falls, which, God, I came here four years ago and this is just amazing.
Look at that.
What?
It's not even 7 a.m. yet.
We're the first people here.
What do you think?
Good introduction to the Philippines?
Yeah, it's fantastic.
We've only started 7 o'clock in the morning yet.
Just look at the colours on this.
Oh, my God.
How you doing?
I think it's better just to drop in, just get under.
Crazy.
This is one place I came when I was first starting travel vlogging,
maybe three and a half years ago, three years ago.
I'm not even sure, but it really cemented the fact that I wanted to do this.
So I remember coming here in the morning, doing the whale sharks,
going to Tumalog Falls, vlogging it all, putting it up and thinking,
yes, that's exactly what I want to do.
And so to come back here with my dad and Olivia and show him that,
it's really, really rewarding.
Yeah, I just...
Philippines.
Back to the island.
We just got back to the hotel and greeted with a big breakfast buffet.
Perfect timing.
Look at this.
That's all I'm saying this whole video.
Look at this.
We found a pool.
What are you doing over there?
And this is the other hot tub.
So, so far we've found two hot tubs and an infinity pool,
but us being us, we're not just going to chill.
And instead, there's a one and a half hour hike that we're going to try.
That didn't work.
Yeah.
There's our pool and our glamping is just over here.
Check it out, these are our tents right here.
Beach, that's our view.
This is our beach.
So you go down there and I'll get a photo.
Yeah.
Yeah?
You run back down.
That's what I was thinking.
Yeah, and I'll take it from here.
Almost there.
There's water everywhere.
Like father, like son, eh?
Both on flip-flops.
Oh, I pulled it over.
Got you.
Yeah.
Dead and pure.
Same.
And we're back.
Done.
That was actually a little, little harder than we expected.
We're all sweating quite a lot.
It's really hot.
I think it's like 32 degrees today.
But cool.
There was good views of around the island
and you got to see just how blue the water is here.
Now we're about to try something that I've never done before
and I've never seen before.
We get the chance to feed baby sharks that come here.
What did you say they were?
Blacktip sharks?
Blacktip sharks, I think so.
Yeah.
Blacktip sharks that come to this island.
It should be cool.
Is it a chicken?
Cool.
I guess all I can say about that is pretty cool.
After the day we've just had, it's not mind-blowing in comparison.
But just thinking about it,
we've gone to a waterfall, swimming with whale sharks,
trekking, feeding baby sharks,
on a motorbike twice,
on a boat trip,
and chilled on the beach
and had some amazing food
all in the space of about 24 hours.
And we're just about to go on a sunset cruise
with some snorkeling as well.
This has probably been one of the best 24 hours
I've ever had in the Philippines.
Cool.
So this one?
Yes.
All right.
Thank you.
Okay.
I'm not quite sure what happened there
because my GoPro stopped filming,
but the coral was really nice.
There were loads of fish.
It was really colorful.
I hope I got some of it,
but it was really, really good.
Now we are finishing that little sunset cruise.
It was only about an hour just around the island,
went to the coral spot,
and now it's time to chill out for the actual sunset
before going to our barbecue dinner tonight.
This is exciting.
This has been a really cool day.
Oh.
This is cool.
It's our own little private picnic barbecue.
Nice.
Table three, please.
Do you think we'll get in?
Maybe tonight.
It seems quite busy.
Ah, so this is our barbecue, Jeric.
Nice.
What do we have?
Tuna.
Sounds great.
This should be good for two,
but since there are three people,
I decided to change in how to...
Fair enough, man.
Well, we thank you for that.
Look at this.
That is...
Oh, my God.
Wow.
Look at this spread.
Squid.
We have chicken.
We have ribs.
Tuna.
Look at that.
Yeah.
Can you do that?
That's looking good.
Got the right woman for the job.
Okay.
Yeah.
Thank you.
Yeah, we...
Almost.
Yes, please.
Thank you.
Yeah, we did our best.
We got most of it done.
Just one piece of squid left.
What an awesome 24 hours.
You know what we've done in the last day
is kind of nuts from...
based from this island.
I only found out I was coming here two days ago,
thanks to Anton from Our Awesome Planet.
And the fact that I got to bring my dad and Olivia as well
was just like...
Yeah.
An awesome two days.
We're leaving in the morning to go back to Cebu City.
We're still going to make the most of this place in the morning.
So check that out in the next video.
For now, I'll just say a massive thank you
to Blue Water Resorts for having us.
And again, thank you for watching.
And this is my life.
