In this video we got to see the responsible tourism side of Kerala with the work The Blue Yonder is doing. If you want to find out more, please visit their website below.
Travel has changed my life and I have no plans on stopping any time soon.
That's why I am now running this video blog showing you how to travel the world continuously
FAQ:
How did you learn to edit? I taught myself. I downloaded Premiere Pro and began to figure out how to use it through trial and error. My videos were pretty bad at first but eventually, and with the help of many tutorials, you start to figure out what works.
What work are you doing? I started off running this video blog while doing freelance web design and video editing to supplement my travelling lifestyle. I now rely solely on this blog to generate revenue through advertising, affiliate links and sponsorship opportunities.
How do you meet the people in your videos? Hostels, guesthouses and conversations! You meet people so easily while travelling. Just open yourself up and you will meet all sorts of amazing people. ' Where do you live? Right now, I travel the world continuously and so do not have a permanent base or home anywhere. I am not sure how long this is going to be the situation but right now I just want to keep travelling.
Any more questions, please post in the comments below!
And now you say, hello!
Okay.
Say, hello!
Hello!
Can I sit here?
Hello!
Good morning!
We are at a local school today.
And...
One sec, one sec.
While I was editing this vlog,
I realised I didn't get a chance to introduce it properly,
and there's a bit of context missing.
This dance is an Indian dance called Katakali.
And most of these school kids had never seen this dance before.
We were there just to observe.
It wasn't a touristy thing.
This was an initiative set up by a company called Blue Yonder
that I'll talk about in a second.
They came to this school to show the kids the dance completely for free.
Okay.
I'm going to try and do the intro here,
but I think it might not work.
Say hi, guys!
Hi!
So there was just a show here before for the kids.
One sec.
So after all that chaos,
the reason there's a performance here
is it's a community initiative that we've come to see
that basically a tourist would pay for the performance
and then the locals would get it for free.
So they do this performance somewhere else, the tourist pays,
and then because of that, this community initiative,
I guess I'll call it again,
gets to come to local schools and show it to children for free.
And they completely loved it.
It was hilarious.
Yeah, it was really good.
We'd just come to the school quickly to see that,
and now we're off again.
High fives!
Let's do it!
What's happening?
I fell over.
They found it very funny.
Awesome!
We've actually just been told we need to leave now
because we're distracting the kids,
and they have exams next.
So that was just like the assembly this morning,
and now we need to be on our way.
But yeah, that was really cool to see
how much the kids enjoyed that.
What's going on, camera team?
Even the camera's not on.
It is on now.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's filming you now.
This is the behind the scenes.
Behind the scenes?
Yeah.
These guys are the video crew for Kerala Tourism
putting together a big video of the overall trip.
And I guess this is the behind the scenes.
GQ's a top cinematographer for Bollywood.
Hey!
How's it going?
He also works on films,
and he's an amazing videographer.
All the stuff he gets is really, really cool.
And I think the overall video for Kerala Tourism
is going to be amazing.
It's going to take a while to edit, I think,
but as soon as that is ready,
then I'll share it on my channels too.
What has he spotted?
It's a rare Jackson.
Where are you going, Jab?
I'm going jackfruit hunting, I think.
Searching for more coconuts.
This sounds like a...
It feels like a silly idea,
but we'll go with it.
It's a good one.
No?
No.
I'm stuck.
Okay, this is another thing we're seeing.
A sort of cultural performance,
and I'll tell you why in a second.
So, right, all of this is set up by a company
called the Blue Yonder,
and they're basically taking us into the community
to see these performances.
And it's completely ethically run.
It's a responsible tourism company.
And this is a procession that leads to a temple.
They receive money from each household.
It goes to the temple.
Oh, it's coconut time.
Yeah.
Oh, wow.
This is where we're having lunch.
And this is my plate, I think.
So we're about to start eating with our hands,
and people are learning how to eat with their hands now.
So this is actually a mental health institute,
and Blue Yonder have come here for lunch,
and I've got to pay them money for the lunch we're about to have
in order to support the initiative
and to support this whole place.
Mental health is something that's not often talked about worldwide,
but also especially, so we're told, in India.
So it's good that there is somewhere like this
that can support people with mental health problems.
I liked it, so I fold it this way.
No, no, no.
Just fold it.
So if you like the food, you fold it that way.
And if you dislike it, you fold it that way.
No, I'm English, so no matter what,
I'm folding it that way.
Hello.
Where are you from?
From England.
Quick game of volleyball to finish the day.
We were at a temple and saw these guys playing,
so just ran across.
It was awesome,
and now we need to go back to the hotel.
Just got back to the hotel,
and sneaking in a tiny bit of work where I can.
It's so hectic every day.
It's awesome because we're doing loads of cool things,
but the schedule is really tight,
and it's getting hard to find any sort of space to do editing.
So I'm trying my best to get these videos out every few days,
and I hope I'm managing it,
but at this point, I'm not too sure.
So if they are coming out a bit slowly,
then bear with me,
and I'll definitely catch up anyway.
I'll catch up and get all of the vlogs out,
and you'll get to see everything we're getting up to.
Just about to head out for dinner now.
It's back in the same spot we had dinner last night,
on the riverbank.
And actually, all of the food here is incredible.
I've been eating so much,
and I think I'm putting on a bit of weight.
So I don't know.
I need to go on a fitness thing after this,
but the food's so good that it's hard not to.
Anyway, I'm rambling a little bit,
rambling a little bit,
so I'll just say goodbye.
Thank you for watching,
and this is my life.
