Hey guys, welcome back to my channel and guess where we are? We are in Vietnam, Hanoi.
And I think we overestimated like the time to get out the airport so we are
now waiting for the driver. Terrence thinks that this place is going to take us two hours just
for half an hour. We were out of the plane, out of get our luggage and out here in 10 minutes.
10 minutes. That's it. Super efficient. Yes, very very efficient. Now since we are early,
maybe let's just walk around. This airport seems pretty like a very, how you call it,
okay? We thought that it's going to be a very hard situation. Very calm airport is great.
Hi, are you in Paris? You know what? I really feel like I'm in Paris. It's so French.
You think it's so French? I feel like I'm in France. Terrence is snacking on some nori chips.
Is it any good? It's all right but we're waiting for the highlight of our day.
Which is? We want to eat some pho. It's beef noodles and we were supposed to go out to have
the street food but we found somebody who's so kind as going to tell the vendor to send
the beef noodles to us. So we're gonna have pho right in the hotel. Going to get some champagne.
Nice chilled glass. Okay, it's taking him a while.
This is the pho that our follower has kindly sent us in the hotel and very nice of Sofitel
to let us enjoy this at the Metropole Club Lounge and well, I can't wait to dig in. It
looks absolutely delicious. This is going to be a pho trip. We are going to taste all the best pho
in Saigon. The broth is very clear but it has a very flavourful beefy kind of taste. Okay,
I like it beefy. Yeah, it's a little different from the ones that we've tried in the past.
So we are taking a walk around the hotel area which is like
the French quarters and it sure looks like a little Parisian place.
The instructor is coming back.
And the scary thing is right, Terrence said that when I cross the road, just cross, don't look.
They will know how to avoid us. Yep. I'm like, seriously? Just walk across, otherwise you'll
never cross the road. That's how they do it here. Just pray and cross, don't look. Just cross and
have faith that nobody's going to knock you. Alright, I guess we'll call it a night. We're
going for a cruise tomorrow. We're going to get some rest and be up bright and early.
Okay, I went into the wrong room just now. Oh my god, that was so embarrassing. It was embarrassing.
No, she was lying down a bit and she got shocked when I opened the door. I would have gotten a shock.
Sorry lady, I went to the wrong room. So anyway, this is our room on the cruise and yes the scenery is
beautiful. There is a bar counter and well the bed is nicely decorated. It's because I told them it's
our wedding anniversary. Oh my god, when did we get married? Yeah. Okay, so this is the bathroom.
There's a nice long bath. Wow. We have a nice balcony area with a jacuzzi. Right, let's go outside.
We are going straight. They said that we are going to some cave. Okay, I don't know what to expect.
We're going to the dark and bright caves. All right. Oh, actually you can do your own kayak.
I'm not going to trust you on a tire. I'm going to trust you on it. All right. Hello. Hi.
All right, good morning. Out here. She's with her vlogging camera but we don't need it.
All right, so we have come to the end of our Halong Bay cruise and we're going to see
how you enjoyed it. Beautiful scenery this morning. Yes, the weather is nice today. Not as cold as
yesterday. Yeah, we had a really good time in our beautiful suite and we wake up to this beautiful
scenery. I think parents enjoyed it a lot. There's no wi-fi internet connection which is fantastic.
If you guys want some relaxing moments, this is perfect. You get to enjoy the scenery and
without any disturbances from the outside world. All right guys, so this is the end. We're going
back to Hanoi now and I think they're chasing us to go for our brunch. So let's go.
We are at a very famous Bun Cha place in Hanoi. As you can see the traffic's mad here but
this is the place that Obama went to. I heard it's not the best Bun Cha but it's so historical.
He had a meal here with Anthony Bourdain.
So it's a very famous Obama place. We're going to see where he sat with Bourdain.
So let's go and try it out.
How about this special Bun Cha? No beer for me. I'm gonna have the Bun Cha with the crab
spring rolls. Okay. All right, so my food is here.
Karen's about to dig in. I had a first taste of the soup top. It is really sweet.
Yeah. So I'm putting chili and garlic inside.
Better? Still really sweet. Just very sweet. This is the crab. I think you're supposed to
eat it with this. How's the crab roll? Do we need more crab roll? Yeah but I don't think
you're supposed to like slurp it up. It's just for dipping. I mean you can but
slurping it up. Yeah. Right. It's just for the taste thing. Dip. It's better like that.
Take the meat. The meat is really good.
We just finished eating the Bun Cha and our dear friend here wants to eat a burger which is like
three dollars now. I can't believe it. I have to eat again.
All right here goes. This is the burger. Eh no. Burger right? It means chicken noodle.
The stock is very good. This meat is breast meat. It's very soft. It's the way I like it
but apparently in Vietnam they like it tough but you know this is great. It's fantastic.
And this noodle. Silky smooth guys. Silky smooth. Very nice and wait what is this? What is this?
My goodness. So soft. Is this like chicken liver? Can't be. It's so soft. It looks like liver to me.
Doesn't taste like chicken liver but it's so nice. So good. Okay I want it. Wait hang on. This is
chicken liver. This is liver. Keep the heart for me. That's chicken blood. That's blood. You're
right. This is probably the blood. Oh my. This noodle is fantastic. This one okay. It's a rare find.
Next to the Bun Cha. It's next to the Obama Bun Cha stall. When you come for the Obama Bun Cha,
come here for this as well. Trying this egg coffee here. Yes this is the one. You gotta go after the second flow.
I want to take a photo when my egg coffee is here because I think this may be the only time
we're gonna have an egg coffee. Unless I'm really like in love with it after I have it.
This is my first time having it. Texture is creamy.
I like it. It's very different. It's like a dessert. Very creamy. I like the texture. It's a little bit
frothy. I know what it tastes like. It's something like a crème brûlée but a custardy form. Crème brûlée.
Blue Highland. Not Blue Mountain.
2000 meters.
It does taste better. It really matches your outfit today. Wow. It's super matching.
I chose these but I'm thinking maybe this one is nicer right? Yeah I think. I think I will buy this one.
On this little chair here. Get down. Sit here and look nice.
This shop also sells like offerings as well. Yes look behind you.
So after eating the kaya tea, we can look behind and maybe buy some
I don't know dollar bills and suits for your yearly departure. Oh okay.
How is it? Are you sure? All right give me one. Let's try it. I will try it and tell you guys
whether it's good or not. Yeah okay. All right. Not bad. Remember this?
Here's Jamie squatting by the roadside eating kai dan cai in Hanoi.
In front of a shop selling offerings.
Where are we? Here we are for dinner. We are going to Burton which comes highly recommended by
Yeah. All right let's go. Let's go. You're causing an accident if you don't go. Let's go.
All right. All right. So we are going for the Thai half dan mee. All right you go on and check it out.
Compared to the... We are here at a very tight bar counter.
Yep it's crowded here. What time is it? Baguette sandwich half dan mee. Yes.
It better be good Terrence. No we'll try it with the chicken sauce first.
How?
All right guys. Now we are on our last part of our journey
to discover the best pho in Hanoi. Where are we going? Pho Thin.
Thank you. Pho Thin. The last pho you're gonna try.
It's different.
After we tried two egg coffees in town yesterday, we are trying the one at our hotel.
It's served like with a candle to keep it warm. And let's have a look.
Yes how is it? Let me try it. The one I had yesterday tastes really good.
And that was from? Cafe Giang.
It's good as well. This one is from? Sofitel. Yes. Which is better? There must be a difference.
Cafe Giang is better. Yes. There is a Hermes shop right here. Oh yeah. At the corner.
Did you find anything in the Hermes shop? Nothing. Cannot be bothered. Okay. After Pho Thin,
I just couldn't be bothered. Oh yeah. How was your experience in Pho Thin? Shocking. Why is it
shocking? I think that they need to improve the level of hygiene there. The floor was very dirty.
It was very wet. You know it's just some... Makes me not feel like eating. Yeah. I don't know.
Probably I'm not so used to this. I mean I don't know what Terence thinks of Pho Thin.
Now Pho Thin is one of the famous pharmas in Hanoi right? Yeah but you're right. I mean the
hygiene level is a little bit low. You know they had... Yeah the flooring was not very clean. So
it sort of made you lose your appetite a little bit. But back to the taste. The taste is very
unique. I mean it's a bit of wok hei. Would you agree? It's a bit of wok hei in the soup.
So Pho Thin, I wouldn't really recommend it. I mean there'll be better ones in Hanoi.
It was horrifying. It was like one of the worst experiences ever.
Okay we've come to the end of our trip. Yes goodbye Hanoi and we will hopefully see you soon
sometime. I actually enjoyed the Pho Ga, the chicken noodles better than the beef noodles.
What about you? I always love my beef. Right okay but the chicken ones were really good. It's
something that yeah those are good too. Especially like the um there was one that we went to that
was after we ate the beef one. Oh yeah. No no after the Bun Cha. After the Bun Cha. After the
Obama Bun Cha. That was really good. That was very good. Okay anyway guys if you want to come to
Sofitel, it's a very good hotel. It has all the shopping you need. Baluti,
Hermes, Valentino, Prada. Yeah okay and um sorry about the audio.
It's very noisy here. So guys understand that. See you.
