JAKARTA FAIR PRJ 2016 / Indonesia Vlog

Good morning and welcome back to Jakarta. I'm here back in my flat now. I got back a couple days ago and Steph's here too. I don't know what the plan is today. I think it's Jakarta fair so we're gonna go and do that later but I'm not sure what we're gonna do today but just a nice morning swim and let's get back to the Indonesia vlogs. Good morning and this is not Jordan Simons. He's there anyway. It's so annoying. I don't want my hair to get wet. I told you. So you guys probably know how much I've been breaking sunglasses. I just got these sent for free by Sunglass Warehouse so that's why I'm showing them off because I'm happy. I just checked my YouTube and overnight I've just hit 20k subscribers which is crazy. Two months ago I just hit 10k and I did a video about that and that took me about six and a half months to get to and now I've in two months I've got to 20k. I've doubled that and everyone's always told me that it goes exponentially and just keep going and it'll go up quicker but now that I've seen that it's kind of mad. So hello to all you new subscribers and thank you for watching. This is cool. Thank you. Back to your phone. We've just arrived at Jakarta Fair where everyone has been telling me to go. Let's go have a look around. I can't really tell what's here so far other than lots of shops and food stalls but it seems like there's some cool stuff. This is the first chance I've had to actually speak. It's really loud here. So for those of you that aren't Indonesian or aren't from Jakarta this is Jakarta Fair and loads of people told me to go to it but basically it's a big fair with loads of food stalls, celebrations for Jakarta's anniversary. So I'm gonna just go around and have a look at what there is to do here. Found the food section which is great because I'm starving. This shop sells just yakult. This shop sells drinks in light bulbs I think. These guys here are making martabak which for any of you that don't know is pretty much a really big dish here in Indonesia. And it's really good, it's really good. It's like a giant omelette with loads of sweet stuff on it. Maybe a giant pancake, giant omelette with loads of sweet stuff on it. It's also probably one of the most unhealthy things I've ever eaten so I don't feel like that tonight. There are so many food choices I have no idea what to get. You know when you're given a menu that is really big and you can't decide on anything so you just go for something really simple. We're getting hot dogs. It's pretty good. Two hot dogs and one water for 10,000 which is about less than a dollar. It's loud. They were that price. Look at the size. Thank you. So apparently this guy is massive in Indonesia. What's his name? Elo. Elo. There you go. Elo. This guy is like Dave Grohl. That guy looked and sung so much like Dave Grohl. Apparently he's really big here but I just saw Dave Grohl, an Indonesian Dave Grohl. Anyway we decided to carry on exploring, having a look around. Kids. So we just found out there was a fireworks show tonight. Why is she shouting at me? So we just found out there's a fireworks show tonight because the fireworks show started already. And that was it. You have to be careful. I'll direct you. You're right. What is this? Finally I can see. Have a look at this guys. Just walking around and there's a portrait of the Harmony of the Seas. How weird is that? I just got back like three days ago maybe. And there's a portrait. That's the slide I did the filming on. That's the flowrider that I just did the surfing on. That's the wind jammer where I had breakfast every day. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. So I was on top. I was up here. I was up here and you can see that video up here. Up here but I was up here. I know like I never would have noticed that if I hadn't done it. So the only reason I've noticed it is because I went on it. But still I find that really weird. And I swear that'll be the last time I mention Royal Caribbean. But how weird is that? Anyway. You're winning. You've got the inside track though, that's why. Obstacle. You look ridiculous. Finally found some flip flops in my size. Finding flip flops or shoes in my size in Asia is always a struggle. I'm size 11 or 44, 45. And it's always really hard to find. But I've just got some. Which is cool. Mission accomplished. Well that's it. The fair is over. I say it's over. It's over tonight. It actually runs for a month and a half. From June 10th to July 17th I think I saw. But it's the end of the night for us. Just watched the last show. And it was pretty cool. Overall a good night. Mostly shops and food. But there's still some cool stuff to see there other than that as well. About to jump in a grab car back to the flat. And she's just started talking so I'll talk to you in a minute. That's a bit better. Cool first vlog, first day back in Indonesia. Not a great deal happened. But to finish it with Jakarta Fair was pretty fun. I've still got loads of exciting stuff coming up for Indonesia. I can promise you that.
