FAQ:
What equipment do you use? I have a Canon 700D, a Canon Powershot S120 and a GoPro Hero 3+ Black. I edit on my Acer 8GB RAM laptop.
How did you learn to edit? Mainly I taught myself. I downloaded Premiere Pro and began to figure out how to use it through trial and error. Eventually, and with the help of many tutorials, you start to figure out what works.
What work are you doing? Right now I am running my video blog while doing freelance web design to supplement my travelling.
How do you meet the people in your videos? Hostels, guesthouses and conversations! You meet people so easily while travelling. Just open yourself up and you will meet all sorts of amazing people.
Any more questions, please post in the comments below!
Good morning and welcome to day two of my Bali road trip. This morning I'm in
Gili Manak which I didn't mention yesterday but this is the main place
that people go to to get to and from Java but I'm not going to be heading to
Java today. I'm gonna be heading east and with a loose plan to end up in the
beach town of Lavina. So let's see what we can see on the way.
This is my room from last night. I've got most of my stuff packed up now. I've just been
doing a little bit of research of where to go and now I'm gonna pack up the rest
of my stuff and get going. So this is Permateran or something like that and
from what I looked at this morning this is usually used as a dive hotspot just
back down in town down the bottom of this road. There are loads of little dive
shops but the only reason I've stopped here because I'm not gonna go diving is
because I've just seen this hill and I'm gonna go climb to the top of it to see
what sort of view there is. So let's get walking. But first I should probably take
my key with me. It's really nice scenery anyway. I think all this rock is volcanic so that's pretty cool.
This is a lot harder than it looked. Just a little bit further. I'm half
expecting to meet Luke Skywalker up there.
So close, yet so far.
Made it. I was just about to raise the Union Jack.
Looks like I was beaten to it.
Worth it.
This is definitely somewhere you won't find in a travel brochure. I don't know of
course because I didn't read one but I basically just decided when I saw this
hill to climb it. So yeah, good decision maybe.
Okay, time to go I guess.
I think I'll just roll down.
Okay, finally made it to the bottom. Only falling down about five times. Luckily
nothing was broken, by which of course I mean my cameras, but all that stumbling
around has made me pretty hungry now. So I'm gonna head off and find some lunch.
This place seems as good as any.
A little warung on the side of the road.
Pretty nice food for a lovely lady.
So anyway, I feel like I need to cool down after that little trek and this spicy meal.
So I'm gonna bomb it to my next stop which is the hot springs.
Beast.
Well, what better way to cool off after a little mountain trek, if I can call it that,
than by jumping in a hot spring.
So this is Bangla hot spring which is clearly very popular with locals and not so popular with foreigners.
Yeah, it's nice.
It's like, found somewhere.
I just got some of my milk and you can really taste the sulphur.
This comes directly from the volcano and it's just about half an hour outside Levena
and this is the holy hot springs of Banja.
Anyway, Levena is my next stop. I'll just pop my stuff off here on the way.
Well, I'm in Levena but now I need to try and figure out where I'm staying.
I booked somewhere earlier because it was really cheap but I can't remember the name now.
So I found it. It only took about half an hour longer than I thought because I overshot it and had to double back.
But now I'm here anyway.
Yeah, as I said, it's cheap. It's pretty nice.
It's £90,000 a night for this place for a double bed and quite a nice little garden.
More than I was paying for a hostel but I've got my own private room.
Still only £4.50.
So I've just been chilling for the last couple of hours in the room.
Just been editing yesterday's video.
And I'll be honest, I'm really tired. My legs are aching from this morning.
But what I'm going to do right now, because I'm about a stone's throw from the beach,
you can see the sea there, I'm going to walk down and catch the sunset.
I like this place. It's a bit further out from actual Levena.
It's about 3km outside of Levena where I'm staying.
I drove through Levena and it just looked really touristy.
Loads of hotels, loads of restaurants.
So I'm glad I booked this place a little bit further out the way.
That being said, I am pretty hungry.
So I'm going to head back into town and find a restaurant to eat in.
But for today, it doesn't look like there's going to be much of a sunset
considering that we're on the north of the island and it's really cloudy.
So again, this is day 2 of my Bali road trip.
But for now, thank you for watching and this was my life.
