ABOUT:
Travel has changed my life and I have no plans on stopping any time soon.
That's why I am now running this video blog showing you how to travel the world continuously.
#Travel #TravelVlog #TravelContinuously
Good morning. Today I have checked out of the hostel in Phuket. I have my small backpack,
my big one, and my bag of bananas, and now I'm gonna head cheapest way possible to Koh Lanta
when the wind stops. I've been here for about a week and it's been fun, but everyone's told me
that Koh Lanta is really chilled, less touristy, and just a nicer place to go and hang out,
and cheaper as well, which is what I need. So now I need to get a local bus to Phuket town
and then from there get a ferry. I'm gonna try and show you how to do that.
The problem is with walking with your bags in any place like this is you get offered taxis
and beep tap a hundred times down the same road. All I want to do is walk and get a bus,
but it's fine. You get used to it and I've just got to walk about two minutes more
and then get a bus. Right, I see the bus. I just need to get there in time. We'll flag it down
hopefully. Yeah, let's go. Phuket? Hey, Phuket yeah? Phuket town? Can I? Thank you. Hey guys.
Turns out I got on the wrong bus. They waved me off anyway.
Me too, thank you. So that was funny.
Like I accidentally got onto the wrong bus and it was a tour group, so I got it all for free.
So, so far the tour guide to Koh Lanta probably off to a bad start because you're meant to get a
bus. I got it for free. Anyway, onwards. Hot. Oh, ----. He's okay. Ran a red light.
He looks okay. He's off. And he's gone.
Yeah, 130. How much is it in English? 280. 280? Yeah, for one person. Okay.
Cool, that's easy. In total for a bus from here, from the Phuket bus terminal,
it's number one. Phuket bus terminal one. And the ferry to Koh Lanta is 280 baht,
which is cheaper than I saw it online as well. Just got to get it here in an hour.
Right, I actually have two hours to kill. It's 11.30 and the next bus is at 1.30.
So I'm going to find a coffee shop with some AC to chill out in because it is stiflingly hot.
And I'm sweating like a bucket. Wi-Fi. This will do. So, the coffee is cheap. That was only 70
baht. The Wi-Fi is only 20 minutes long. So this means in roundabouts, I'm going to have to use my
phone to Wi-Fi instead. I'll do for now. Still got 20 minutes, so I'm going to grab something else
to eat. Chicken curry. Okay, this, egg and rice.
Looks good. And soup as well. So all of that was 60 baht, which is pretty good for chicken curry.
Rice, egg, salad, soup and water for less than two dollars. Pretty good. Anyway, now I can get
the bus. So we're at this really cool ferry port now. It's taken about four hours to get here
from Phuket to Koh Lanta ferry, which is like twice as long as the boat,
but probably about a third of the price. So now I just need to get a little ferry,
across the water to Koh Lanta.
Wow, the colours in that sunset are awesome. So Thai security just let me come through here.
It's really cool. Completely worth it. And now we need to get on that boat to get across the water.
Okay, I'm now in Ban Saladan and I think I know where I'm staying. It should be that way,
I hope. From what I read earlier. So I'm going to go have a look and try and find it.
Everything's so much cheaper. I love it. Now I just need to find my hostel. Cool. Well,
found it. Sorted. Here. Done. In Koh Lanta. We'll spend the next four or five nights here,
I think. I've been told it's really nice, just a chill out place. And I really want to see it.
I've never seen Koh Lanta before. Anyway, I'm tired now. I just want to grab some food
and call it a night. It's about eight, so it took me around seven hours to get here,
rather than a few hours on the ferry. But again, about a third of the price.
And I don't mind. I'm here now. But thanks for watching, and this is my life.
