On the mound tonight for the
Angels somebody they'd like to
see get a little deeper into
games left hander Jose Suarez
who has not gotten out of the
fifth inning in any of his
previous three starts this year
Mr. Rory Ruiz someone you want
to keep off base with the way
that he can fly and stay Rory
Ruiz climbs the ladder lost his
helmet right at home plate Mike
Trout's got an easy one to start
the night and there's one away
there's another high pop up this
one from Jordan Diaz Trout
converging with Taylor Ward it's
the captain in center field to
retire Diaz two quick outs here
and Brent Rooker will be the
next batter first pitch on
Rooker this ball is lifted high
in the air it's hit deep down
the left side and that ball is
gone Brent Rooker who entered
the game hitting 318 it's his
fifth home run of the season and
the Oakland A's strike first two
out solo Homer and now Jesus
Aguilar the one two in the air
to left that's pretty well hit
going back is Ward Ward leaping
up and that one is gone a home
run back to back homers for the
Oakland Athletics and Aguilar
with his third of the season
makes it to nothing Oakland
there's a look at the young
left hander the numbers not
great but a lot of that Eric
came in the first two starts of
the season he's been much better
his last two times out of this
Angels squad hitting 287 against
lefties as Rooker will track
this one into the corner and
Ward is retired for out number
one round four for five against
Wolde Chuck and the three to
pitch strike three the sweeper
caught the corner and trout
frozen at the plate the second
out now Shohei Ohtani at the
plate out of the way of that
was close every single Angels
fan holding their breath for a
split second they watch
baseball's most exciting player
dive out of the way the three to
fastball reaching for it fouled
off and I believe it may have
been interference did it hit the
catcher catchers and he got
catchers interference and so
Tony's going to hit first
Rendon trying to get it going
again on his way to second and
he's picked off Ohtani is out at
second and the side is retired
to nothing Oakland after one
and now it's like he's Diaz who
has struggled to begin the year
ball for from Jose Suarez
Suarez walking the leadoff
batter here in the second
that'll bring Carlos Perez to
the plate and he lashes this one
down the left field line it'll
bounce off the wall headed
around the third and slamming on
the brakes is Diaz as Perez
coasts in with a double and
Oakland in business again in the
second Smith has had some some
loud numbers in the minor he
just hasn't been able to
translate when he gets up to the
big leagues to Smith sends this
one to the air deep down the
left field line and this one is
gone a three for Kevin Smith his
first of the year and a five
nothing Oakland Lee Ken
Waltercheck has to be thinking
that Christmas came early he's
enjoying the biggest lead that
the A's have had at any point
this season.
And Anthony Rendon on a line to
center and a diving catch is
made by Ruiz what a play to Rob
Rendon is Brandon Drury his
first year with the Angels he
signed a two year contract in
the offseason.
Here's a high ball from Brandon
there's one closer for the
Angels home run for Drury
Donovan said he's going to get
started soon.
Received his silver slugger
award yesterday and now he
ranks one four hundred forty one
feet.
I think he's rushed top of the
third inning.
Brent Rooker leading things off
for Oakland five one lead.
And Rooker hits this one hard to
left on the run is Ward if it is
fair it is gone and it is a home
run.
How about two homers tonight for
Rooker six on the year and the
Oakland Athletics lead six one
in the third.
Aguilar says this one to center
Trout at the.
The A's brought the power to
Anaheim seven one Oakland
Aguilar and Rooker back to back
homers in the first and the
third first batter up for the
Angels who trail at seven to one
is Angel catcher Chad Wallach.
This is hit high and it's hit
deep out into center field and
that one is out by the Rocks and
it is out of here.
So the Angels are playing long
ball as well in this game.
Wallach hits his second and the
Oakland lead is now seven to two
first batter up for the Angels
will be Mike Trout as he gets
set to face Ken Waldachuk.
His little tapper to the left of
the mound Waldachuk the pitcher
has it his throw is going to be
a wild throw that goes down the
right side and foul ground but
Trout will not be able to get
beyond first base.
So he's on that's going to be an
infield hit for him.
So Tony is the batter count on
show he's doing one he grounds
this one sharply it's off the
glove of the first baseman
Aguilar that slows it down as it
rolls down the right side and
the Angels are going to have
runners at second and third with
no outs hit sharply up that
first base side next batter for
the Angels will be Anthony
Rendon a chance to drive in some
runs here and Rendon lines a
base hit down the left field
line that's going to score to
Trout and Tony come home.
Anthony Rendon's got a sharply
hit two run double and the
Angels a little closer now it's
seven to four two pitcher for
the A's James Cabrillion every
game he appeared in last year
was starter first batter he
faces his Brandon Drury here's
the two to that's low it skips
past the catcher Langley's and
Rendon will just jog to third
base and get there without a
throw.
He walks Brandon Drury was a
fastball on three and two that
just missed.
So now the tying run will come
to the plate and it's Luis
Renato takes ball for it's back
to back walks from Cabrillion
and now the bases are loaded.
Chad Wallach is Dua Wallach with
a little blooper right field
base hit.
Don't scores Drury stops a third
Angels keep it moving it's now
seven to five as Wallach has his
second RBI tonight Zach Neto is
the batter Neto lines it down
the left field line scores when
he first scores Wallach a third
and the count comes through Zach
Neto's got a two run double it's
seven seven.
Here's Drury Renfroe at second
the go ahead run Drury with a
little blooper.
That's a base hit to center
Renfroe's being waved around
third.
Here comes the throw to Luis to
the plate.
It is not in time.
The Angels down seven to one at
one point they have scored seven
unanswered and they are up eight
to seven here in the bottom of
the seventh.
Conor Capel coming on pitch hit
for Jordan Diaz and Capel in the
right field base hit up with it
is Renfroe the throw home and no
movement by no throw no to made
the turn but had to backtrack to
third.
Now it's Brent Rooker two home
runs tonight bases loaded one
out and it's ball for this game
is tied.
Rooker draws the bases loaded
walk no to home to score and
Oakland has tied it in the
ninth.
Langley is it's a high fly
pretty deep to left what is all
the way back.
We are in extra innings top of
the tenth.
Let me see as to the right side
one will try to advance the
throw not in time just slid
around the Rendon tag Langley
Lears to third Diaz to first
with nobody out.
We're going to take a look.
Langley Lears looked like he got
to the outside part of the bag
looted Rendon's tag.
This is pretty aggressive by
Renfroe.
Did he get in there as a tough
one to see right there.
Did the string from the glove.
I'm saying yeah that's what I'm
saying.
Like I was kind of being
facetious there but on further
review I think the string got
him.
Well we've seen a little bit of
everything tonight.
I don't know that I've ever seen
a game where you're out by a
string.
Runner is safe Paul stands as
called Noda first and third with
one out and Noda to left.
That's a field corner.
Langley Lears scores Peterson
on his way home to throw not in
time ten eight Oakland as Noda
delivers the two run base hit
Kemp the batter now and Kemp
delivers with a base hit in the
right.
Noda will score the 11th run of
the night for Oakland and Kemp
with a big insurance run plated
in the 10th eleven eight eight
first batter is Brandon Drury
Drury sends one deep that's to
the right center field.
This one might go it is
stillizing yet but that's a
homer still standing at second
base.
The first base umpire is telling
him to go it's gone it's over
the yellow line Drury who has
hit his second homer tonight has
made it eleven to ten two outs
to one.
Here's Mike Trout Trout it's a
bouncer to third as a fair ball
and the game is over.
Crazy night belongs to the
Oakland A's.
They survived the Angels in ten
innings and is an eleven to ten
final.
