He Hitchhiked To Indonesia From Russia!

Right, so I just had to move rooms yesterday and the woman just came and grabbed me because this morning I'd left my document folder in the other room with all my money, my passport, all my bank cards, my ID and everything. Thank god she's a nice lady. So I've been working most of the morning but now I'm just gonna go out. Now I'm just gonna go out, go down to the beach, rent a scooter and have a little look around Lombok. Say hello to my owner. Right, my new video is exporting now. I've used the morning to do some editing on that and I've also replied to a few emails. I've just been told that I'm on Polish TV which is funny. I'd love to see that. If anyone actually has seen that and has got a link put it in the comments and I'd love to watch it. Right now I'm gonna go and explore a bit of Kuta, Lombok which is where I am and apparently there's some really nice beaches here. So I've rented a scooter for 50 000 which is about $3.50 and now I'm going to go down to the beach and try and find Nikolai, the Russian guy I met on the boat yesterday, who hitchhiked here and slept in a police station last night. So I'm gonna go ask him about that. One thing people always ask me is isn't it lonely traveling on your own but yesterday shows completely how easy it is to meet people. I met a Russian guy and a Spanish girl on the boat yesterday and then I ended up hanging with the Spanish girl. She was really nice last night. We went and got dinner and then today I'm meeting up with a Russian guy and I'm not on my own at all. Even this morning the guesthouse owner, we've just been chatting about everything. He tried to get me to buy some land here but I politely declined and yeah it's really easy to meet people. It's really easy to make friends. One of the things I love about traveling is all the different people you meet. But right now let's go to the beach. It's pretty nice. It's not really a tourist beach, just boats everywhere. I'm gonna try and find the Russian and then see if we can find a different beach. Anyway the Russian guy just sent me his location on Google Maps so I'm gonna go find him now on the beach. Right well I'm parked up now. Just park anywhere because it's Indonesia and now I'm here. This is awesome. Look at this. What's up man? How's it going? This is cool. Yeah. It's beautiful right? Yeah, not so many people. Swimming pool, with lights, with jacuzzi and they'll say enjoy. And nobody here. It's about policemen. Oh so you got to stay there? Oh yeah. No but I stay in swimming pool, relax, maybe two hours. That's cool. Then go back. Right we're gonna go for a little explore now. But we've got the one bike and all of this stuff. So let's see how that works. I want to have a bit of an explore. Right um how should we do it? I can put my guitar between my feet. Yes. Right and we're ready. Yeah. Cool. We've been driving for about 20 minutes just coming out of Kuta and we found this awesome place. It's just like a giant natural cove. I don't know what this fruit is but it's here. Yeah fair enough. Well that was really cool. We're at the beach but now Nikolai has to leave because he has to carry on hitchhiking. He's hitchhiked all the way here to Indonesia from Russia and now he's going to carry on and go further Indonesia into Flores. He's got a blog as well on VK so I'll put the link to that in the description. And yeah I'm going to go drop him off now so he can get a lift. Well take care man. Yeah. Yeah safe travel. Have an awesome trip. Right okay so I just went and dropped Nikolai about half an hour outside Kuta so he can hitch his next lift. I can't imagine the journey he's had. He's hitched here all the way from Russia over six months, been through China, doesn't speak that much English, just does everything with body language. All right I've just pulled up here. Looks like it might be a nice spot to catch the sunset. West is that direction. So I'm going to try and find a nice spot down there.
