Lyon vs Monaco | LIGUE 1 HIGHLIGHTS | 05/19/2023 | beIN SPORTS USA

Start round 36 here on BN Sports. Sends the Portuguese stopper the wrong way. And Ben Yedder. And what a nightmare start. For Lyon. But a glorious one. For their visitors, Monaco. They fail to score. In three of their last four. Still with the ball, Bradley Barcula. Cleared only as far as Tolisso. Nikola Tagliafico. Scherke. Stepovers. Ryan Scherke! Not far away at all. For Mohamed Kamara. Who can only make the bench once more. Brutally dealt with. That's a... Wings it of van der Sar. Oliven gives it back to the Brazilian. Nice move this. Yusuf Ofana. Straight at... Antony Lopez. That one's comfortable for him. Here's Koumbedi. And Scherke. Bit of a miss there at Lacazette. Will take full advantage. Well held by Noubel. Much better from Lyon. But it was poor from Scherke. Lacazette had to make it himself in the end. Matsema. That fault but... Akhlioush. Nice work between him and van der Sar. Spinjeda. He's got... Ismael Jakobs over on the left. Jakobs with the effort but it's well saved. Good that for Monaco. Well worked, patient play. Jakobs. Senegal international. Slipped in. By his captain. That's going in. Good stop from Lopez. Golovin over this. Kaio Enrique has pulled away. Monaco's two biggest creators. Will be Golovin to take though. Here it was won. By Matsema. Double up on... Barcelat. Scherke as well. Here's Tolisso. Lovely ball in behind. Geffinho. Can find Scherke. Denied by Noubel. Move more over. Van der Sar blocks. Geffinho's follow up. Lovely. From Lacazette and Tolisso in the build up. Geffinho. Found Scherke and it's a... Poor effort it has to be said on his weaker right foot. To the box. Claims of a handball. Lift away. Tolisso's shot. Lacazette. Can't hold that one up. Now Golovin. Use of Fofana with the strike. Lopez, good save. Firstly from Fofana. And then... Denying. Pineda. Stays at... Not the best of crosses. Move not dead though to Sassi. The Omandi's heads are only as far as Pineda. And here is Lopez again. A real moment. Not just the best in France but... One of if not the best in the world as well. And he looks to slip in. Barcelat has cut back. Alex on Lacazette's... Real level. And this time it's their captain. Their number 10. After a wee samba in Jeter. His 30th goal involvement of the season. Bradley Barcelat with yet another assist as well. A young man who continues to impress. A lovely cut back. Simple finish for Lacazette too. Missed a penalty in the last minute at... Clermont last time out. He's just gone up an octave or two inside the group at Amsterdam. Caio Enrique's ball. Sassi. Rose above everyone. Chance from the corner. Lovren who came in in January. Jerome Poate on the bench. He's only made six appearances this term. Maybe finds Scherke here. Brian Scherke for Lacazette with the header. First real opportunity. In the second half. Again from Scherke. Cut it back. Lacazette with the header. Claimed by Newbelt. Vannes. Pass was blocked. Presented to Geoffinho. Mazzina does enough. Vanderson for Ben Yedder. Golovine back to Ben Yedder. Nice move this. Vanderson. Across to Jacobs. Will fall to Golovine. What an effort. What a save. Brilliant move. Jacobs heads it down for Golovine here. Stunner of a strike. Lopez. The acrobatic goalkeeper. Equal to it once more. And he keeps his side in the game. Kakari. After that challenge. Kakari cuts it back. Scherke. Great touch. That's exceptional. Brian Scherke. It was nearly goal of the season. Kakari follows up with a rebound. From the teenager. Just look at this from Kakari. That was impressive in itself. The dummy from Scherke. A little roulette spin. Newbiel making the initial save. But he couldn't stop Kakari on the follow-up. That's exceptional. From the two academy graduates. Exceptional. And Lyon have the lead. They've come from behind. They'll have it all to do now. Europa League group stage. They may still lose out on that. Lyon fighting for fifth. Scherke again. Finds Berkeler. Badly Berkeler. Good block. From Matsima. I think it was again. But from van der Sar. Taliafico with the... He can't Monaco do it from this corner. Caio Enric's ball. Threatened a few times. Matsima and De Sassi in there. Ball cleared. Van der Sar headed away. A lovely flick again from Scherke. Like I said, it's got to be all in van der Sar. Wins the free kick in it. But a little bit feisty. Monaco will be in second best in this second half. Probably edge the first half. Kamara slips in. Velen Polo. Chance in behind. Lopez made the save once more. I think he'd stayed on. Look how far back Koumbedi was. In the defensive line. Some inexperience. From the 18-year-olds. Does well again. Had to be careful on a yellow card. Fana. Went beyond Kakari. Diomande stepping forward from the back. Chance now. Lacazette. Very far out. Again though. By Matsima. Castello-Lucaba. Finds Lacazette. It's a brilliant link man for Leon as Lacazette. A great pass. There to Scherke. Brian Scherke cuts inside on the left foot. And he's deserved that tonight. That is brilliant. From the homegrown talents. It's all about that pass from Lacazette. He gets another goal involvement. That'll go down as an assist. But Scherke. He was denied an absolute wonder goal. From which Kakari scored the rebound. That's fantastic. A lovely touch. Drop of the shoulder. Cuts inside on that left foot. He won't be far from a call-up. Although it's difficult to tell. France's talent. Here's Thiago Mendes. Looks for Lacazette. Finds Ryan Scherke. Scherke once more. Saved by Moubert. Mouberti again. There he is once more. And that is full time. And Juan Milo. Ends the game. Big victory for Leon. As they get a couple of goals in the second half. And pick up the three points at home. Ryan Scherke with the third goal. To defeat Monaco. 3-1 is the final here.
