It's four without a win for Nantes in Ligue 1.
Wins also hard to come by for Nice, who did hold Paris Saint-Germain on matchday 7.
Johan Lepidome is one of four changes made by Nantes.
Nice head coach Frank Ayers under pressure with just two league wins so far this season.
It was a promising start from Nice, making headway down the left-hand side.
Moses Simon heavily involved, a shot which tested the fingertips of goalkeeper Alban Lapham.
Lapham diving away to his left and getting a touch.
And it was just as well as this was heading in.
Good save from the resulting corner.
Nice came close once again, a well-worked short corner pulled back to Ali Abdi.
His ferocious shot touched over the crossbar from Alban Lapham.
Abdi, who scored against Paris Saint-Germain with a cracker two weeks ago,
nearly finding the net.
Good save.
It was not that took the lead midway through the second half.
Augusta playing the ball out wide to the left-hand side.
Moses Simon teasing his way down the left-hand side and providing a cross,
which was headed home brilliantly by Matis Abilene.
A quality ball in from the Nigerian international.
An extreme bravery from Matis Abilene to give the home side the lead.
This was his 10th goal in his Ligue 1 career,
seven of which have come in the yellow and green of Lacanaris.
The Nantes lead was to last just five minutes.
Nice dragging themselves back into the game with an equalising goal,
created down the right-hand side,
and when the ball is released into the penalty area,
Sylvain Diop is able to cue it up for Evan Gessen
to lash the ball high into the roof of the net.
Gessen, a former Nantes player,
was with Lacanaris on loan back in the 2022-23 season.
Gessen's fourth goal in Ligue 1 this season,
five goal involvements in total.
It's only one short of his goal involvements in the whole of last season.
Nantes nearly grabbing all three points in stoppage time at the end of the second half.
Tino Cadavere teeing up Johan Lepenop,
his shot producing an excellent save from Marcin Bulka in the nice goal.
Lepenop has scored in each of the last two Ligue 1 games
and he thought he'd made it 3-3, denied by a fine stop.
It's now five without a win for Nantes.
Just two wins in eight for Nice,
so a point apiece is not exactly what either side would have wanted from this one.
