Manchester City are the Premier League champions.
That was confirmed when Arsenal lost 1-0 tonight at Nottingham Forest.
Let's get some reaction with former City striker Paul Dickov speaking to Peter Steens.
Go back this time last week, people were saying, not questioning Man City,
but what a difficult trip we had to Everton.
Could we come through that test?
Obviously, Arsenal home to Brighton.
Came through that test, won, put the pressure on Arsenal a little bit.
But then the win against Madrid midweek was just sensational.
It's probably one of the best performances I've ever seen,
not just from a Man City team, but from any team.
I know a lot of people say they would like to play tomorrow against Chelsea and win it if they could.
But if you're going to win it, it doesn't matter how you win it.
It's happened today.
To win three Premier Leagues in a row,
there's only one team ever done it in Premier League history.
It just shows you how difficult it is.
It just proves to me what I've said all along,
that this is one of the best Premier League teams that we've seen.
When you've won that many titles in that block,
how special does it make this one?
It just feels like they weren't in this race at one point,
they were so far behind Arsenal.
They were at the start of the season,
and you've got to give Arsenal a lot of credit,
because they have been fantastic throughout.
To push this Manchester City team and how good they are,
all the way to the last week of the season,
shows you how well they've done.
But since the World Cup,
since the turn of the year,
and especially more recently,
to win 11 games in the bounce,
12 games in the bounce in the Premier League,
the experience they've got of doing that before,
they know how to win both ways.
They know how to win leading from the front,
but especially from behind.
They've used all that experience,
and the quality they've got as well,
to go on and win the league again.
It's a fantastic achievement.
I don't think after Sir Alex's team,
earlier on in the Premier League years,
that we'd ever see a team go on and win three in a row.
So it just shows you how good they are.
Harland, a huge factor,
or is that dismissing the rest of the team?
He's been a huge factor,
but I do think it's dismissing the rest of the team,
when you look at the players that are in the squad.
We were talking before we came up here,
saying that if somebody's not quite on it,
in the Manchester City team,
or in the squad,
players just step up to do it.
Ilkay Gundogan recently has been sensational,
Bernardo Silva,
Jack Grealish,
since he came back from the World Cup,
for me he's been our best player.
I know Erling gets a lot of credit,
and rightly so,
but Jack's form has been absolutely sensational.
And whenever these big players are out of the team,
and they come back in again,
they're desperate to stay in there,
and you can tell how they play,
and the influence they all have on the team.
Pep said to me a couple of weeks ago,
come back to me when we've won the league and the Cup,
and I'll talk about the treble,
but everybody now will be talking even more about the treble,
won't they?
Yeah they will.
If you want me to say they're going to win it,
I'm not,
because I'll end up being in trouble around here.
But it's there for them to do.
The form they're in,
the way they're playing at the minute,
I genuinely can't see anybody beating them at the minute.
I know they've got to go to Brighton on Wednesday,
and then Brentford.
People might say they've won the league,
they'll rest in their laurels a little bit,
they might rest some players,
but if they rest some players,
there's top quality players to come in.
But this team,
this club,
they thrive on momentum as well.
And I actually think,
recently,
especially over the last six weeks,
playing Saturday,
midweek,
Sunday,
midweek,
Sunday,
and taking it to the next game at the time,
and just churning out these victories,
it's really helped them a bit.
Because the momentum they've got,
the confidence they've got of winning all these games in different competitions,
it just keeps pushing them on and pushing them on.
