Welcome to another episode of Dutch Eats. All right, let's plate one of these up. I think I'm
gonna call this breakfast tacos because these tortillas are so little. So let's forget what
Today it's Sunday morning and I'm going to show you all making a family favorite. I'm making a
homemade, western style you might say, cowboy style, not really Mexican style. I don't know,
I'm just making homemade burritos. But the kicker to this is I'm making homemade tortillas too.
This is actually the first time I've ever made tortillas. I love making Amish bread, French
bread, I love making bread. So like I want to make some of my own tortillas. So all I did is get a,
I got a mix, a flour tortilla mix, but I bought me an awesome little cast iron press. Check it out,
let's go look at it. So I actually bought my uncle one of these several years ago and I don't think
he's ever used it. So I was like, you know what, I'm gonna buy me one. I want to see how good it
works. From everything I've seen, they work awesome. So I'll show you guys using this today
and then I'll show you all making some, they call it cowboy coffee, it's percolating right now.
Brandy loves to drink coffee every morning. I don't drink a whole lot of coffee,
but her little curry machine broke. So I'm making it some from my campfire coffee pot.
So this is all you're going to need today is I get the western style hash browns,
oh they call them southern style, hash browns with onions and peppers in them.
And I dice up, you know, maybe six strips of bacon and I use some cheddar cheese and I love
this cheese for quesadillas and burritos, queso quesadilla cheese. So that's all we're going to
use today. I don't measure any of this out. I just, I just cook the bacon first and I leave
the bacon in the, in a cast iron skillet. Then I, then I add my potatoes. When this, when the
bacon is about halfway done, I'll add potatoes and I'll finish cooking that. And then I'll put
my eggs, where are my eggs at? So there, so there's my eggs. I'm going to use, I think I'm
going to use five or six eggs. I can get some more out of the refrigerator. So you'll cook the bacon,
then the hash browns. When the, when those are about done, then you add your eggs. And then
when it's all done, you just add your cheese and I'll show you guys the whole process from right
here, this point of view. So I'll mix it all together. I'll probably put some music over it
and then I'll show you guys making the tortillas and all that. So this should be an easy, easy
recipe that you guys can make. And I'm telling you, your family, your husband, your wife,
whoever you make it for, they're going to think they're the best burritos in the world.
As long as my tortillas come out, which I'm hoping they are, I got them resting right over there for
about 15 minutes, the direction said. So I'll show you pressing the tortillas and cooking those
probably last. I might just go ahead and just cook them right over my flame because I got propane
gas. I was going to cook them in the cast iron first, but I'm waiting for it to, I'm waiting
the 15 minutes in the direction it says. So I'm going to just go ahead and cook up my eggs and
everything. Cause we got to go to church here in a little bit. I want to get this done, wake the
kids and wake my wife up and feed them an awesome breakfast. They love it when I make the burritos
like this. I'm telling you, it's great. All right. Hope you guys liked today's video. If you do like
it, please subscribe to the channel and share these videos. These videos that you share for me
helped me out so much. I couldn't thank you guys enough for all the support you show me over here
on Dutch Eats. I forgot to say, welcome to another episode of Dutch Eats. Hope you guys like the rest
of the video today. If you do smash that like button, hope you guys enjoy. Okay. I'm gonna do
a little voiceover. So I just added the bacon here. I'm just going to stir it up and I'm not
going to drain any of this grease. I'm going to cook this bacon up until it's about halfway done
to your likeness. Then right here, I'm just going to add the potatoes, add as many potatoes as you
think you need for your size of family. I've done this quite a bit, so I know how many to use. So
right here, I'm just going to stir those up. And when those potatoes start to brown and get just
about finished is whenever you're going to add those eggs. But right now I'm just going to salt
and pepper to taste. It looks like a lot of pepper, but it's really not. It's not really coming out a
whole lot right there. So then I add the salt right here. Like I said, just salt it to your taste
and I'm going to stir it up a little bit and the potatoes are almost done. So I'm preparing the
eggs right about, I think right now. Yeah, there you go. Add just a little bit of cream. If you got
milk, whole milk, whatever you got a little bit, it helps fluff the eggs a little bit. My grandma
showed me that, that little trick. So those potatoes are done for my liking and my family
liking. So we're going to put the eggs in and just put them in there and just cook them until
they're done for your, for your taste. And then once you, you kind of just stir them around a
little bit and you can see the coffee percolating right there, but yeah, anyways, you just stir
those eggs up a little bit. You can tell right there, I zoomed in just to show you they're almost
done and I'm going to add the cheese to it and I'll mix all the cheese up and then we'll make
our tacos. Hope you guys like it. Okay. That's how simple it was to make this dish. I'm telling
you my wife, this is one of my wife's favorite dishes I make for breakfast. So easy to do. Any
of you guys can do it. So I'm going to show you pressing these tortillas for the first time ever.
If it comes out good, I'll make another video of this outside on the campfire or something,
but I'm going to press them out. Hopefully it comes together and I'm just going to try to cook
them right here over the flame. We'll see how that works. If it doesn't work, I'll probably end up
taking the eggs and stuff out of the cast iron over here and cook them in that. But let's try
this first. Okay. The directions say cut this into eight separate pieces. So let me get,
yeah, let's use this knife right here. I'm just going to roll it out like this.
See if I can get an even eight pieces out of it. It's about, that's eight pieces cut pretty evenly.
So what I'm going to do is I'm going to do the first one. I'm just going to roll it into a ball
just like that. And then I've seen a lot of people, they, I think you can use wax,
you can use wax paper or I just cut a plastic baggie in half. I've seen people do that.
I may have to put a little bit of flour down here. I'm going to go ahead and put
just a little bit of flour down here. All right. My first press. Let's see how this goes.
I think I got it pretty centered right there. All right. All right. Let's see.
My first ever homemade tortilla. Hey, I get it off there. That's going to be pretty handy. Now,
these are going to be some little tortillas. So we may be doing instead of just a big old
burrito. We're going to have to make some little mini burrito, like taco styles,
but this will be good for street tacos and some quesadillas and stuff like that.
breakfast tacos because these tortillas are so little. So let's forget what I said about
the breakfast burritos for right now. Man, that's hot, hot. All right. Let's try this.
You've seen how easy these were to make. Hopefully they're good. I know they're going to be good.
Super hot. Awesome. These tortillas are actually really good. First time I've ever made them.
Turned out awesome. All right, guys. Hope you guys liked today's episode of DadCheese making
the... I turned it to the breakfast tacos. Like I said, one of Brandy's favorite meals is the
breakfast burrito. So I'm probably going to pull out the big tortillas I got because this was just
a little bit too little for burritos. But this recipe, you can just eat just right out of the
skillet or you can put it in tortillas. You can put it on toast and bread. It's so easy, so easy
to make. So if you guys liked today's video, please share these videos. Helps me out a bunch
whenever you share these cooking videos. I appreciate everyone that does that and everyone
who hits that thumbs up and watches the videos. Thank you very much. So hope you guys liked
