The Game | NBA Offseason: biggest moves and player rumors

Welcome back to the game We're less than a month into the NBA offseason which is very exciting by the way But big moves have begun to shake up the entire league And joining us to make sense of the madness our fellow or my fellow NBA hype host Mikey Reyes we plucked into the studio He didn't want to as if he wasn't going to be here anyway But oh Mikey thank you very much Oh my goodness So let's start off first with maybe it's a big move Yes it is That's Bradley Beal going to the Phoenix Suns Finally what do you think of the new super team At least on paper it's a super team Is it really a super team We still don't know who is going to surround these three players And for me these three players are basically Bradley Beal and Devin Booker are the same player I'm not really sure yet Because usually when it's a big three there's a big man and a point guard With this one there are three wings technically Kevin Durant might play four Will Bradley Beal play two or three So Devin Booker So I think it's going to be something they still have to experiment with You don't consider DeAndre Ayton as part of the young The Big Four Like Kendrick Perkins right I'm just kidding The others Ah the others Not yet Wait this is an intriguing question Who won Wait what No no wait Let's get to the question first Who benefited more here Mike Beal or the Suns Beal For sure Si Beal Because they got plucked out from Washington Finally I mean I 'm sure he loves Washington He loves the city Of course he was drafted there But still there are a lot of games where he shines He really stands out He drops 40 50 and they still lose So if he wants a chance to win he needed to get out of Washington But if you're the Suns If you're a Suns fan ah I'm still not exactly sold on the team To be fair the trade the Suns didn't give up too much Not that much But they're taking on a long-term contract It's Bradley Beal at Supermax So really expensive So they're tied up with Bradley Beal for a while But that's Washington It feels like they just want to get rid of the short-term commitment What do you think from the Washington perspective They already made the chip They already made the chip anyway So they're going to spend a lot of money on Beal knowing that they're not going to win a championship with this team they got Chris Paul obviously from that trade But I've been hearing that they're going to you know waive him or something to get rid of Chris Paul and open up some cap space open up some room So I think for Washington it's like Portland Like are you going to move on from this superstar and build a new team give yourself a shot Give yourself a chance like what O K C did with the youngsters So you know for me it's exciting for the Washington Wizards Because you don't know what they're going to do with these moves that they're doing right now And Kuzma is also declining his options So I really don't know where the Wizards are going what they're doing Are they going to be like a could-do-it team And what's happening I mean even from a fanbase standpoint they' re in limbo don't you think Definitely more exciting than you know Knowing that it's still going to be Phil it's going to be Kuzma Definitely a little more excitement with Washington A fresh start Exactly You know don't you that you expected what's going to happen Another fresh start A fresh start with new people So yeah something like that I guess O K The next one we have to talk about is ito just rumors Rumors Just rumors The Miami Heat and Damien Lillard are a love story waiting to happen it feels like And this was because it was kind of started by Dame himself right He was the one who said in a podcast "Hey Bam's my boy " You know he said Miami you know other than it's tax-free " All of these things Yes you want you're getting angry to speak Dame like sometimes What's that He's tickling her Tito Mikey what does that mean He's tickling her suddenly But it's up to Portland Ah come on man We want something out of Dame So he's somewhat kind of going to teach him a bit He's going to bring up teams that he wants He's going to go on IG Live He's going to have LeBron on IG Live Tapos biglang but it's up to Portland So I don't know yet what Portland will do but there was also a rumor I read this morning that If since Dame has been raising Bam then why not bring Bam to Portland Why not make a move to bring Bam to Portland So these are like I don't know yet Pat Riley isn't going to give up Pat Riley was on he gave a 40-minute briefing yesterday I don't know if you guys caught that but he basically already said Tyler Hero and Bam Adebayo other than Jimmy Butler are kind of Untouchables Kind of like that tone He doesn't say it And even with the Dame thing he says obviously they're not allowed to talk about that Yeah yeah meddling But he's also saying we don't have to make a big move So I don't know They feel like they're going to make subtle changes in Miami So let's talk about that Maybe roleplayers Because it was pretty obvious If you want to win a chip yeah it was a great story It was a great Cinderella story until the finals But if you want to win a chip you need pieces that can score that can create down the stretch especially in games where you're going to go up against a team like Denver I think they need to make adjustments in the role players They need one more star You cannot live with As hurtful as I will say this you cannot live with Jimmy Butler alone He's the only one handling the ball So you need someone else to step up Especially during the regular season where you know Jimmy Butler is probably going to miss 20 games and then he goes into a relaxed mode The guy you mentioned earlier boom that Pat Riley said that Bam is untouchable Almost Basically that 's what he said Jimmy is the hero But would it take one of them to move Dane Oh definitely I don't think Dane is I don't think Portland's gonna say yes to the undrafted players Even if they all do right No even if they all do They aren't going there So I think they need to move one of them So I can understand that Pat Riley won't make a move if they're going to have to break
