Now, Hilla is one of YouTube's biggest personalities, but just in case you aren't familiar, she was born in Israel on December 12th, 1987. After she completed high school, she served her 2 year mandatory military service. This is about the time that she met her now husband, Ethan Klein, who was visiting Israel from California on a birthright trip. The two met while visiting the very popular Holocaust Museum. Perfect date material if you ask me. The two grew close during those 10 days and stayed in touch online after Ethan returned back home, and eventually started a long distance relationship. After traveling back and forth to each other's homes, they decided to get married and move back to the states to pursue their dream of a YouTube career. Together, they created the wildly popular YouTube channel H3H3 Productions in 2011, which quickly gained a devoted following and currently sits at 6 million followers. The channel mainly consisted of reaction videos and sketch comedy. Soon after, they started their second channel, Ethan and Hilla, in 2013, which sits at 1.9 million subscribers. There were high-end options that were a little too expensive or cheap versions that failed in quality, so she felt that she needed to do something for others that were in the same boat as her. Scrolling through her Instagram profile is the perfect example of the transformation timeline. Being in fashion now, she wanted to be known as a fashion authority, so she started treating her social media more as a portfolio than a selfie on a Friday night. As she took part in photo shoots, she started to gain more and more confidence and her style started to really sparkle. She started experimenting with her hair, going from natural brown to chopping it all off and going blonde. Then she started experimenting with color. It could be due to the fact that she seemed to have pretty strict parents with regards to her appearance.
