When Nick Kyrgios Met Frances Tiafoe 🥶 | Washington 2022 Extended Highlights

OK, well, pretty solid start to this one. Bit more of that, please. Goodness me, what a point. That is an unbelievable volley. It was a great attempted pass from TfO, but Kyrgios with the answer. We thought it was going to be worth the wait. Well, it's just getting better and better out here on stadium. Oh, Kyrgios not happy because the crowds thought TfO's forehand was out earlier on in that point. What a turnaround from France's TfO. He was 4-1 and 5-2 down in that tiebreaker. But it is the American who comes through the opening set in 49 minutes on the tiebreaker. No, he can't. What a 15. From TfO, what a return as well. It's really nicely done. Very well disguised from TfO. Yeah, it was a little short. Kyrgios didn't need a second invitation to go after the forehand. That's a big combination from France's TfO. First time that he's been under any kind of pressure on serve for quite a while, but he came through it well. Oh, that's a beauty. 40-30. Hands from Kyrgios. Kyrgios leads six games to five. Are we heading to another tiebreaker? Well, he's already had one net call today. Nick Kyrgios, he looked for a moment there that he'd had another. Well, he found the first serve, but it came back with interest and the first opportunity for the returner. Brilliant from TfO. This is what it's all about. Oh, just out of reach for Kyrgios. Please, see it all. They have actually caught TfO off guard there. I think he might have expected Kyrgios to wait until the crowd stopped cheering. Brilliantly saved. Could have produced when he's needed to, Kyrgios. Oh, the most ridiculous of endings. Had TfO made that backhand. What a return. Can you believe that? This took him bang on the line. Brave from Kyrgios. Outrageous tiebreaker between these two. Francis TfO, maybe not happy with the way that Nick Kyrgios has been speaking to the umpire. Remember, he'd already picked up the warning. Maybe TfO thought that it should have been a more substantial penalty. But we are going the distance out here. Really well saved. Nightmare start for Francis TfO. At times, it is like he's playing an exhibition, Nick Kyrgios. Kyrgios' direction absorbed the pace on that backhand beautifully, does Kyrgios. For the moment's time, Nick Kyrgios will be serving for a place in tomorrow's semifinal. Nick Kyrgios comes through a late night thriller in DC to book his spot in the semifinals. An extraordinary match between two of the great entertainers on the ATP tour. It is the former champion here who keeps on rolling in Washington.
