Carlos Alcaraz vs Frances Tiafoe Exhibition Highlights | Charlotte Invitational 2024

And from Spain, please welcome Carlos Alcaraz. Shot maker. He's going out there. He's putting on a display for the crowd, and it's fun to watch. He does it all over the world. All right, we'll get into all of it. Just nudges that a little long. The one thing that we were... I think most people would say he's got the best drop shot in tennis. I'm not exaggerating. I bet he misses. In that small area. As Foe holds to start. A little serve and volley. The serve part went well. He threw that entire event. Overcooks a forehand, and how about Love 40 out of the gate? That was better! The mental closure replay. Exactly. That was a better serve and volley. And that's how Love 40 becomes deuce. Deuce again. Disappointing, but another trip to the business end of the U.S. Open. Something Francis... About 170, and said he was surprised that he was sweating after the high. Pulling some G's in that car. Carlitos splinches on the volley exchange. All right, that's a play out of Andy Roddick's book. That's a staple. Is in his playbook all the time. For Francis. 2025. Sam Lopez will be joining the Alcaraz team. Carreno Busta to Nico Almagro. Clear double bounce. Now the drop shot's starting to dial in. We saw this Tuesday. Tighter service. Nukes a forehand. I don't know if you could hit one. Francis begged it to sail. It did not oblige. But another hold for the American. We're through. Sasha Zverev had to win two titles, no majors, and still beat Alcaraz in the rankings. Pose! The U.S. Open four years earlier. And for as amazing a year as Carlos Alvarez, lost his second match at Paris-Bercy. That's the end for Rafa. An entertainer. Oh! I'd like to apologize for gasping midpoint, but he almost took that ball to his head off that was kneeling. So here's one for you on Alcaraz. And what were the titles? Indoor event in Memphis. Outdoor event in L.A. Those are there. Underarm serve while we were in replay. Gonna sit there and make three or four in a row. Sinister. It was a sinister laugh. I just nudged it long. A lot of court coverage on both. Break point, second serve. In comes Carlos. Gee, from Alcar. Worldwide. It's true. That there'd be one of the biggest. Yeah! There's the break back for foe. What is it? You know what that reminded me of? Almost, if he had connected on it. Remember Roddick in Vienna? It's a rotator cuff strength thing, and he's got a strong rotator cuff. Oh, no. The sidewinder. ...that are made for these guys, and they have not disappointed. Caught the line as well. It sure did. Got a little location advice from that guy in the crowd. Yeah, do it just like that. Says the toy. ...and underway. Believe it or not, the last time sport played it, ...and Donald Dell clients. Times when... A good thing, but it's taken tournaments away from America. Consistent top 20 guy just needs to find the consistency year-round. First half of this year... So, foe gets the break, and this may... Oh, that looks familiar to me. That service motion looks familiar to me. Does it look familiar to you? That forehand definitely does. It occurs to me that if Andy had worn a tank top... Grindy tennis. Don't. There we go. ...once. Nasty. And does get the hold to three... As overtly physical as some other sports, but if you know it, you know. I also kind of appreciate that Andy don't sit... Unloading somehow. That's all I got for you. Okay. I see them both getting into double... Tiafoe autograph. Although, who doesn't want to print his Tiafoe autograph? ...to make it go over. Harbs of you... I thought he did it again. He jinxed himself again with the... All right, he nearly scooped that back... Inches with the replay. Middle solves the riddle. He flipped the racket over, didn't he? He sure did. Four in the third set tiebreaker, but that's all you love him. That's... Did it go long? No, no, it was in. Somebody... Three to five setters after having a lead. Oh, and it will be Alcarez. And what a match.
