I'm all about footwork, so the more we can get you to really get your feet back.
This one's been cool because it's been doing the same thing for us.
It's just getting the left back.
I want you to go here, and you pop.
Which I think since you're going to have the ball in your hands more,
you just got to get your headsies, your change speeds, and change the directions really down.
Yes! You see that?
That's the difference between selling a shot big and not selling a shot big.
Yes!
Yeah, you slow down at the big.
Yes!
It's kind of like a top jab, except I want the ball to drop more.
This is like LeBron does in transition a lot.
And go like this and split your feet.
And then take that step, just so you can feel the release.
Yes, that's it.
Yes!
The only benefit, I think, to playing against guards is you have to be really good with your feet.
But the one thing that David Lee helped me learn, when I play against you,
I have to be crisp with my feet.
Check, you got it.
I love that!
The whole point of this is not so that you can open up your bag and start using this in games now.
It's just so that you understand how perimeter players move,
so that when you switch onto them, whether that's off the ball screen or whether that's on the perimeter,
you just understand what they want to go to.
Because if you understand what they want to go to, then you can take that away and shut them down.
We got two switches.
I just won last night's seven-hour playing class.
You got to play once.
They've been working out twice a day.
This is another video shoot, Sammy.
Some of the things that we saw in films, we worked on adding post-moves,
we worked on kicking a little piece as well.
Whatever you want to say, that's totally fine.
Okay, cool.
Yeah, I just keep...
The one that we were saying was too long, that was actually great,
because we can cut parts of it out.
Okay, cool.
So, that's perfect.
Alright, I'll ask you a specific question.
How do you feel prior to a workout with an athlete?
Are you excited, nervous, scared?
I think all these athletes came in after watching their film and really had an interest in getting better.
If you ask yourself, what do teams want from you, you would say...
Knockdown.
Knockdown, jump shot.
Defend.
Defend, and maybe put the ball in the cup and attack closeouts when, you know,
somebody else has the ball, gap, defender, catch, and swing for him.
So, like, you shouldn't do anything else until those three things are mastered.
Until you can't miss, until you can't miss a finish, until you can guard everybody,
like, you shouldn't do anything else.
