And our plaza with Grammy-noded superstar,
Kelsey Ballerini, before we get to her next song,
Let's Catch Up.
Kelsey, it is so good to see you.
Hi!
You are Ray of sunshine.
You brought a humongous crowd.
And you showed me the cutest thing.
You've been to the Today Show many times inside.
Inside.
It feels like graduation.
It is like graduation.
Today, she comes to the plaza,
it feels like graduation, it does.
We are so happy to have you.
You brought this humongous crowd.
So much going on in your life right now.
You're about to turn 30.
I am.
I know, so.
I am, so excited.
Oh, baby.
I have one month left of my 20s.
This feels like a good way to kick off
the last month of my 20s.
Feels good.
Yeah, absolutely.
Tell me about, you got a new project.
It's called Rolling Up the Welcome Mat.
Tell me about that.
Yeah, so I put out this EP in February,
and I kind of thought it would be this thing
that I put out very quietly.
It's a really personal project.
And it just connected more than anything I've ever done.
And so I wanted to kind of honor that body of music
and listen to what everyone wanted,
which was kind of different versions of these songs.
And we released it today.
It's called Rolling Up the Welcome Mat for good.
Closing the chapter and moving on.
I'm excited.
Wow.
What is your interaction like with your fans?
What sort of relationship do you have with them?
Oh, we're buddies.
We hang out.
We DM, we text.
I know what's going on.
They know what's going on.
It's really sweet, yeah.
You're about to turn 30.
Big plans?
How are you gonna celebrate?
I'm gonna take a minute.
Okay.
I've been touring since I put out my album,
Subject to Change, in September.
And it's been wonderful.
But I'm excited to go live a life to write about.
That was well said.
Give us just a moment on Blindsided,
which you're gonna perform for us now.
Tell me about Blindsided.
Oh, Blindsided, it's not not savage.
It's not not that song.
But it's been really fun to kind of watch it go
from something that I had to get out of me as like turmoil
to something that now we just scream,
yes, we're okay at the top of our lungs
in New York together.
Let's do it.
