So I've had these wide leg trousers on my wishlist for over a year now and I'm telling you it was
worth the wait. I'm so glad that I made a conscious decision about making this purchase and that I sat
on it for a while so that I knew and I had the confidence that they were really going to work
in my wardrobe. So as you can imagine I've been really excited to style these with all the pieces
that I already own in my wardrobe. So for today's video I have styled seven outfits with my new wide
leg trousers and the colour palette is very neutral for today's video as well which is what
I feel most comfortable in. So I hope you enjoy the video and of course let me know what your favourite
So I wanted to start off with a very kind of casual laid-back outfit and I thought because
the wide leg trousers are linen I wanted to pair it with a linen shirt as well to go for a whole
linen look. To keep it super casual I finished it off with my Birkenstock sandals and added a hat
as well so it's kind of like luxe casual beach wear. I feel super comfy and just laid back
and relaxed in this outfit. I've done a half tuck and just let the back fall out as well. This is
definitely an outfit that I can see myself wearing this spring and summer in Sydney so I'm so excited
for this one. I really think these wide leg trousers are best shown off with just basic pieces
so I wanted to go for my favourite basic black tank top which is the one that I'm wearing right now
to just make it all about the trousers. The trousers have a beautiful pleat at the front
they're lovely and cinched in at the waist and create a lovely figure and are just super
flattering I think for my body shape as well so I really just wanted to focus in on making those
trousers look amazing. So I've just simply layered a couple of gold necklaces on, popped a chain bag on
and finished off with some beige sandals. This is another really casual laid-back look but looks
kind of smart casual I'd say and just slightly elevated with the gold necklaces on top of the
black singlet. I think a beautiful thin black belt would also look really nice on this but I'm not
the biggest belt wearer and once again I did just want to make it more about showing off those
trousers. So for outfit three this is about as colourful as I'm going to get in this video. I've
got a floral top on with like a nice light pinky kind of colour. I've had this top for years and
years and I love wearing it with high-waisted trousers or high-waisted shorts. I think it's
super cute it's got beautiful puff sleeves and I often wear this with tiny little heels as well
to go to like a casual drinks or something like that but I've paired it with just the flats today
and I finished it off with chain necklace and then the beige bag as well. So yeah I love this outfit
it's a go-to of mine and that's why I wanted to share. So for this next outfit I wanted to
experiment with like a suiting kind of look. The linen blazer that I have is in this beautiful
rusty orangey colour. It's quite an old piece as well so I thought I'd pop that together with the
trousers. I don't think it matters that they're different colours I think it's quite nice.
I think if you try to match something too closely in a suit and they're not completely
matching to the tee then it can kind of look a bit off. So I think it's nice that they're
in the same colour palette, they're neutral, they're soft tones but they're not exactly the
same tone if that makes sense. I finished it off with a belt this time. I love the way a belt looks
over wide leg trousers. I don't personally reach for my belt as often but I like the way that it
looks. I finished it off with a small kitten heel but I think this would also look really cool with
like trainers even or like white converse for a more laid-back look and yeah a couple of chain
necklaces and just a basic white ribbed tank top. So this is one of my favourite outfits. It's very
plain Jane but I think that's why I like it so much. I've just got a ribbed crew t-shirt on, I've got
those same layered necklaces on top. It's fully tucked in and then I've got my white sneakers on.
This is to me just such an easy, carefree, running some errands outfit, going up to coffee with
friends outfit, going out for lunch, doing whatever. I think this is such an easy outfit to put together.
Once again it's all about the trousers. The trousers are really shown off in this outfit which I love.
So this one's probably my favourite from the bunch. So for this next outfit I've swapped the white
t-shirt for a black t-shirt. The t-shirt is linen and it's kind of loose and relaxed which is a nice
fit with the pants and then I've added on like a plaited belt so it's got that summery vibe and then
just a black strappy sandal with a very low block heel. I really like but I think I would
prefer it with like a straw side bag or even like a black bucket bag or a brown bucket bag. Maybe
beige to me just isn't hitting it but it's okay but it's just not hitting it for me. I think if I
was to go out in this outfit I would prefer a different bag but I mean it works. Just so you
guys know these trousers are from Reformation and I will link them below. They're by far my favourite
wide leg trousers that I have ever had. I've had a couple of pairs in the past and they just didn't
sit great for me. They weren't nice fabric so I'm really happy that I've got these. They were really
really long so I did have to get them taken up and I'm quite tall so just bear that in mind if anyone
is shopping for them. Keep tailoring money within your budget as well. So for outfit seven I wanted
to experiment with a coat because I think it would be really nice to transition these linen pants
into winter as well. So I chose my long beige coat which is a similar beige to the trousers
and then I just went for black everything else. So I've got a wool black jumper on which is
like an old YSL vintage piece and then a black belt and black shoes. Yeah I actually really like
this outfit. I like what it looks like without the coat as well. I think that's quite nice. I'm really
really enjoying my belts after creating this video. I have a big collection of belts and I
don't wear them enough so I think these trousers are really helping me to reach for my belts more
now. If you like seeing one outfit styled in lots of different ways then I've created a playlist
for you guys of all the videos that I have created styling one piece in multiple ways.
Thanks for watching. Don't forget to spread kindness this week and I'll see you in my next video.
