That's right, David, I decided to come down here to Calabasas where it's sunny, it's beautiful, it's surrounded by nature. And I decided to ask residents why they think Calabasas is so beautiful. Calabasas, California has been named the most desirable place to live in the United States according to a recent survey by Moving Feedback. In a ranking of nearly 200 cities, Calabasas claimed the top spot for the most desirable lifestyle. Calabasas teacher Charly Quevedo explains why she thinks this is. I think just probably mainly like the safety and then also just how relaxing and serene it is. Like especially in this area, like I could just come and grab a book and, you know, read for a few hours and just relax, grab a coffee, think, write, whatever, you know. Calabasas recognition is attributed to its charming suburban atmosphere, proximity to the entertainment industry, upscale neighborhoods, low crime rate, excellent schools and numerous amenities. Tamara Shane, a resident, agrees. It is just the most beautiful place, to be honest. I mean, this mall alone should tell you with the turtles and everything else. It's just a really nice place. People are actually really friendly out here. It's just beautiful. And it's just nice. You've got the beach pretty close by and it's just a really nice place to live in general. Irina Movsesyan, another resident, explains why Calabasas stays on top of the list. I think the place can be beautiful if people keep it beautiful. And in general, it's California, so it's sunny and you want to be in the sun. So that's what makes Calabasas beautiful, people, places and sun. Its close proximity to Los Angeles offers residents access to cultural events and career opportunities. Calabasas with a population of 23,130 and a median household income of $126,178 is situated about 22 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles and is renowned for its celebrity residents. Other cities in the top rankings include Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Huntington Bay, New York, South Park, North Carolina and Forest Acres, South Carolina. The survey involved 3,000 adults and utilized various data sources to ensure accuracy. After spending some time here and speaking with some residents, it's very clear why this place takes the crown to the most desirable place to live in the United States.
